- We are driving and reviewing the Fiesta MK8 ST Edition 2021 model. Pure sound, acceleration 0-100, 0-200 and unlocked Vmax 242 km/h (gauge) POV on German Autobahn. 200 hp and 290 nm are ready to rev in this little 1.5 litre turbo engine. 1265 kg of curb weight are moved to 100 km/h in 6.5 seconds.
This thing wants to be fed with the pedal at any time and it's a lot of fun to drive. Ford made the ST Edition a kind of a tarmac machine. The front differential works quite well, the rear axle is very stiff and makes the Fiesta dance through the corners. The adjustable suspension kit (part of the ST Edition) works brilliant and elevates the whole car. The ST Edition sounds racy, especially when it comes to sniffing wastegate sounds or popping exhaust.
Because of the high reving turbo characteristics of the engine, it is nearly impossible to drive it in a calm way. Ford may have seen it coming, so they put a red S-button on the steering wheel which activates the sport mode and a concert from behind. In racemode ESC is turned off and the turbo is sneezing like allergy sufferers in a dusty tool shed. The fuel consumption is about 9 litres Super E5 which is quite a lot for this small car. Nevertheless we recommend 98 ROZ to smoothen the small turbo machine.
Not so good: The Fiesta is a lot more expensive than the highest ST version below, which costs about 25.500 EUR. On the other hand, the edition is a full option package with a track ready suspension for 32.000 EUR and very very limited. Only 500 cars like this will be produced. In all of them, theres plastic doorboards you will scratch easily and parts of the dashboard may remind you of fake ostrich leather. Driven at high speed, it's getting noisy inside.
This is a car we recommend for those who want to daily drive a very lifely, small car with enough space for a shopping tour. As a daily driver, the Fiesta ST Edition still works better than other affordable fun cars, like the Toyota Yaris GR or Mazda Miata. And because it's only FWD, you get the cheaper price, an exhaust that sounds like a drum solo and a Bang & Olufsen soundsystem - in any Fiesta ST. The ST Edition is a charming upgrade for enthusiasts, which elevates it to a real drivers car.

I have many pleasure with the basic 100 hp (3 doors and sun roof): so funny and dynamic car (140.000 kms after 4 years). I don't imagine with this rocket ...

Is the suspension ok for a daily usage?
@@adriankubik3811 it depends on what type of use you need to do. For me, 20 yo, is fun but I don’t think the same for a dad or someone who use this car for a lot of km every day
@@emanuelecerrino3395 I'm used to stiffer suspension in my previous focus st mk2. I don't need comfortable car. I prefer better experience on curves. Nevertheless I want to use it as a daily in city with not especially great roads everywhere. I'll check in a month when I get it :)

For my personal opinion this car is the best hot hatch u can buy NEW nowdays.! It also has the best interior with Recaro seats and more sporty behaviour.. VFM
Unfortunately not from new anymore they don't sell recaro seats as of 2022

@@dom3827 Hab ich auch nicht. Weis nur das die mit schiebedach zum teil aber schon bei tieferen geschwindigkeiten pfeiffen haben.

Schwerer, weniger Karosseriesteifheit, wird 100% irgendwann undicht, pfeifft.
Hat für mich also keinen praktischen Nutzen. Deswegen hab ich es nicht genommen.

Das hatte ich leider auch. Allerdings teilweise schon bei 180 km/h. Mein jetziger Focus RS hat das glücklicherweise nicht.

Hi Alex. Ford released the ST Edition as an EU only model with 500 units produced. 300 of them will go to the UK. The only way to get one in Russia is to import it from the EU. Ford moved their production away from Russia in 2019 because their prices were just too high for the market. Today, they only release a few models in Russia. We hope you find a way to get one of these - or a "normal" Fiesta ST, which is great fun as well.

Mit be an amazing car but you go from stearing wheel to CD player or is CD player in the glove compartment which is the most dangerous idea Ford could of ever thought of.
Very nice but a lot of money for a fiesta. I think I would buy st-2 with performance pack instead of this one.
You don't buy it because Ford don't have parts to produce any of Fiesta ST. I am one of the last that bought Fiesta St2 in 30 may 2021. After that I saw only couple ST editions and nothing more. The market is so fucked up that I can sell my 6 month ST2 with higher price than I bought probably 3k punds more.

I really enjoyed my mk7, just not a huge fan of the looks. I would say these ones do look a little nicer tho, especially the new colours
