Wow, he drives with such delicacy, but with a proper pace and precision. His counter steering is simply balletic. So graceful.

L’arrière est vraiment joueur, l’ESP semble être déconnecté à 100%, pas comme certains modèles comme la Golf 5 GTI ou il reste actif en cas de fortes sollicitations. Bravo à Ford et au pilote 👍

Pour avoir l'ancienne génération juste en version sport 134 cv c'est exactement la même chose au début ça surprend mais on sy habitue vite et c'est un réel régal

Après la piste est froide et très mouillé, on voit que personne ne roule très vite, je penses que même si l'ESP est activé, tu pars quand même la

I was thinking the same thing. One thing I like about this car is that it pivots under the driver so he can feel when the back end steps out a lot more easily.

Take one for a drive, they're pretty fun even on dry pavement.
Just enter a corner fairly hot, keep slightly on the gas while you turn in with a little aggression and lift off the throttle as you apex. The back end will slip around quickly and as soon as you're back onto throttle it settles right back in.
Not sure about the track times, from other videos it seems very possible to keep the car in line.
That's why the Focus ST isn't aiming for lap times, like what Honda did. Ford tune it for fun.

Plein de journalistes le disent et je partage leur avis, mon seul regret, et encore seulement au niveau de la sonorité, c'est que ce soit un 3 cylindres, la cerise sur le gâteau c'est le prix, elle coute autant qu une simple clio ou 208 haut de gamme qui ne depassent pas 130ch et limite moins chère qu une polo avec toutes ses options, hallucinant!! Si j'en avais le budget je me ruerais vers le concessionnaire Ford le plus proche

Driven flawlessly and knowing that the Fiesta ST still suffers from oversteer, but fun to drive. Personally! I think that the Hyundai i20N has a little more course stabiiity, but the equipment and sound of the ST is just wonderful.
La gestion entre le sous et le survirage c’est beau à voir !
Sur le mouillé, la petite Fiesta en ferait presque oublier l’envie (le besoin que dis-je) des propulsions !

Le pilote maîtrise très bien sur route mouillée . Dans chaque virage, il arrive en contre braquage. Pas un moment où il se trouve surpris par sa trajectoire. Bravo

Too much left foot braking together with the gas pedal during the corners I guess.

I really liked the driving skill of him. Also, I have to tell that: fiesta has very well balance and steering wheel is so direct. I loved it. However, his skill is way better than car’s capabilities even though car was also good.
We see a driver enjoying himself and I love this one. He loves to lift off oversteer driving into corners and his enjoying the playful rear end of these fords. Speed is deliberately given up for fun. Listen to the exhaust sound as he allows the car to come off balance. Playful drive in a playful car.

Very skilled driver. Very rare to see that. But the car... with Michelin super sport ??? Thinking that this car (with the same set up ???) can be driven by anybody on legal road is scaring ! Or the tarmac of the ring was dirty and it was the very first time raining ? 8°C is not so cold. I definitely think that this fiesta st is dangerous on the road even if very fun and comprehensive on a race handling.
the fiesta have the better handling in this category.... is very safe ... see the speedometer when he slides ... for wet road this speed is very match... and see the car how smooth slide and how smooth return to road and remeber this.. all electronic are disable!!!! beleave me this car doesn't need skills
to get it back on the road wheen slide....
if you want to understand the speed look other cars how slow are go and look on 5:30 the bmw how easy slide and how hard are return to road...

Yes basically all the turns are taken under 100 km/h and the slides occur while releasing the throttle, wich is a normal phenomenon when your are searching a better mobility from the rear train... what is a god point is while braking phasis : it is always stable with no reaction in the steering wheel, which means that when in line, the rear train keeps stable. But as soon as you maintain even a very light pressure on the brake pedal AND you start to turn the steering wheel, the oversteer begins (normal too, when you are searching to oversteer !). Yes at these speeds here, relatively progressively. But handled with normal daily drivers please let recognize that this will lead to very hot situations. This car is perfect for learning in tricky conditions. Or for fun when you are a minimum skilled and used to it. But not a car to leave to young people on legal roads. Legal roads are not for learning how to drift. They are for sharing mobility : mobility of people, not mobility of the rear train !
Please do not be confused : I LOVE this car and the way it has been setting up. Seems very closed to the handle of former Focus RS wich I better now (I still did not drive this new fiesta st). It remains me my very former e36 M3. Easy to manage on “gras-mouillė” on the track. Too rare, so precious. But to dedicate to drivers who knows : not too young ones with whom you share the road every morning...

Ford needs to bring this to America now. I know from a financial standpoint it’s not worth it for their small cars, but I’m sure they break relatively even on them. Just bring the ST Fiesta and Focus over, not the rest, use these as a loss leader to bring more enthusiasts to the brand who don’t want a base mustang and/or can’t afford the v8 or want something more practical. Fuck an Explorer or an Edge ST. Nobody who had an old gem ST is going to look at an explorer or edge and say that’d be a decent upgrade.

So many oversteer with an FWD means just one thing: that gravel is way too slippery when wet...
No buddy. He lifts the Excelerator early as he drives into these wet corners. It’s a Deliberate technique called Lift off oversteer.All the weight comes off the rear tires and grip is reduced to zero. He is having fun.

If you keep a little throttle on and not transfer the weight so suddenly you wouldn't get as much lift off oversteer and would be way quicker on the lap times
