I just picked up a jcm1 mini stack. It's a custom shop Amp in white. I love it. The shop had it sitting in a corner of the warehouse for 10 years, still new in the boxes. Even got a "clearance" discount of 30% off the retail price. It sounds amazing, and looks cool as hell.
This video is the first and only time I've heard of the boost switch referred to as a silver jubilee switch 🤷♂️ Marshall definitely needs to re-release these 1 watt jcm800 mini heads and combos
I have this amp. It's the best small amp I have ever played and you can actually use it in an apartment without pissing off the neighbors. These 1 watt series completely destroy the Class 5 series amps from Marshall.
marshall should make these 1w amps as a regular production models, like other series.. something like the new dsl series, made in vietnam would be great. or maybe some 15 watt amps for gigging.
have this amp and just wanted to say it's fucking great! one thing it's not good for is playing with a band, but if you want a practice amp for apartment AND you have a big speaker cab for your big head it's fucking boss. Sounds really good at super low volume (with a cab - I have a 2xG12H30) and I used it for recording some songs with my band and the guitars sound really amazing with the amp. I'll get some samples on my other channel of the studio recording later on (channel called Raso Maso).
What kind of action do you run on your Les Paul ?.. I am a fender guy, but got a Les Paul a few weeks back, and I am taking a liking to it, nice and well built, with amazing OD
YOUR DOING SOMETHING WRONG IF YOU CANT GET THIS AMP TO SOUND GOOD, ITS YOU NOT THE AMP, ALOT OF PEOPLE HAVE GOTTEN THIS AMP TO SOUND GOOD, GET BETTER AT RECORDING
+Benjamin Only if you keep turning them on and off again. If you leave them on standby they last for 5-10,000 hours. Most guitarists I know keep a spare set just in case.
I am in 2 minds weather to get this or the class5, this would be better for the home i recon, but Rat mods do great things to the class5 amps, wish i bought the modded one 4 weeks ago now, I have let some great stuff go in the past, worst thing i ever did was give one of my amps away that was fully rat modded
Boost adds plenty of bass and some low end. I only play at home now, I use a Vintage Vibrochamp for clean, & been using OD pedals, but I want something for my OD to come right out of an amp & be able to use it at home, & this could be the answer to my prayers, I also think this is the best 1w amp out of the marshal range, I like marshal lots better than Vox 7 orange, Vox are to brittle sounding at lower volumes, marshal just seem to have it right, so looks like I am buying this amp ha,
Warning you may not want to buy a Marshall !! WHY because they sound so fing good you cant stop playing marshall is the original rock Amp there is nothing like it!!
they are just trying to compete in the mini low watt boutique amp market. As much as I would like a hot rodded 2203 to come out for an anniversary amp i still think these little amps are pretty cool and probably are selling like hot cakes for the people who have wanted bedroom marshall amps or just a marshall that you can get balls out distortion without blowing out your ears. if you try to crank a 100W at a studio nowadays everyone gets pissed off instead of inspired.
Still no news regarding real 100 and 50W anniversary amp... Instead, we must listen this 1W toy-amp hype till the end of the year. I would much more prefer that Marshall is focusing on real anniversary amp.
I don't agree at all ! The class 5 is a great amplifier, it's cheaper and it's more powerful (enough to play in a small band and rehearse). Ok these sound a bit better but you have to buy a power amp to play in a band with your 1 watt.
I work at a music retail store and I have personal sent out 4 DSL amps for repair within the first week of their launch. Marshall's quality control has gone down just like Gibson. It's sad the two rock legends are going down hill
High end Marshalls are a thing of beauty like this amp! But their garbage Haze/DSL/MG series low end BS is a waste of money for beginners. They would make me want to quit playing guitar. As for the original rock amp i'd say that would belong to either Vox or Fender....Just saying
Marshall staff 1: "hmmm we need a real rock kinda guy to to do these demos you know tattoos piercings that kinda thing" Marshall staff 2: "we have this one guy but he kinda sucks ass on guitar and cant stay in tune" Marshall:staff 1: "he looks the part and that's enough besides who could possibly make a Marshall sound bad?" this guy can that's who

hwish to be that AWESOME!
I just wish they still made the 1 watt heads and that the heads weren't so damn expensive.
They have one at bobs guitar in waterloo iowa on line supper cheap and box and everything original 😮
How come these Marshall amp reviews never involve tuning the eq knobs? 7:00 of rotating the gain knob?
Do a demo of Marshall Silver Jubilee...
what mic is in front of the amp? I have this amp, and it sounds good and all, but I have never gotten a recording to sound as good as in this video

Chris- Your hair looks thicker now since your last Jmp-1 vid. May you be so kind to share your tip with me? Thanks alot
I'd imagine the tubes in these amps must wear out quickly.
+Benjamin Only if you keep turning them on and off again. If you leave them on standby they last for 5-10,000 hours. Most guitarists I know keep a spare set just in case.
its a traditional with the pick guard taken off

I wonder how it turned out...
if only my 2203 had such gain stage...
This is a 1w series.
I would like one of these, ohhhh dear Iv'e already spent My money on a new Guitar
Warning you may not want to buy a Marshall !! WHY because they sound so fing good you cant stop playing marshall is the original rock Amp there is nothing like it!!
Would be nice

Vox and Marshall are completely different
I can just hear playing the "bark at the moon" riff with one of these!

I can do one for you.. I have the 2555! :)
How long do you suppose it will take for BUGERA to copy these and sell them for $300? LOL
Not that it will come even close but i know it will happen!
I work at a music retail store and I have personal sent out 4 DSL amps for repair within the first week of their launch. Marshall's quality control has gone down just like Gibson. It's sad the two rock legends are going down hill
plug that beast in a 4x12!
What the fucking hell, that miniature head costs 660 euros!
lol they do use a 10"
...but for this price i would buy a AC 15 C1 ! LES
....i own a TSL 601, i know it, but for this money you get with a AC 15 a lot more Amp, than from this small box ! LES
I absolutely love my JCM-1. Still in love with after half a year. Check out my youtube clip of it at my channel
cheers and rock on!

hmmm
This is the first one I haven't liked the sound of
I wonder why all your amps you have a microphone in front of it. How will we know what they really sound like when you have to amplifi the amplifier?
Robert Brumley i own one, sounds fantastic
Geile Scheiße!!!!

this guy can that's who
I bought a jcm1 for 5 months ago. Jcm1 is so fucking good. Definitely Worth the Money
