- I'm playing a 2012 Marshall JMP-1C 50th Anniversary through a 1x12 with a 1963 Jensen C12Q and another 1x12 with a 1967 Celestion G12H25 75Hz T1217 Greenback and the tone is completely amazing! I'm using 4 guitars:
1. 2008 Gibson Les Paul R9 Standard
2. 2021 Fender Custom Shop Telecaster 60 Relic
3. 1978 Fender Telecaster Deluxe
4. 2016 Squire Affinity Telecaster with CS Twisted Tele pickups.
Johan consistently delivers the most superb guitar sound I know of 🤟
Thanks Eric! Makes my day to hear that!
Sounds so good!!! Man I wish Marshall would make these a permanent part of their line up!!!
The designer of these left Marshall and works for Google now... those 1 watters are insanely good
I’m sure Marshall with their contract with him would own the the design.
Superb sound. Classic vibes through the roof.
Thanks, glad to hear that!
I love Johans lp , it's the perfect looking burst with the right amount of flame. Great video I missed that guitar its definitely my favorite.
Thanks Dan!
Love it! Always thought the JMP-1 was one of the best amps Marshall ever made in terms of pure tone.
I love the anniversary 1w amps ! Thank you Johan ! 😊
Thanks Mitchell!
Beautiful playing regardless of the gear
Thanks, glad to hear that!
Tasteful playing and beautiful tone. Thanks Johan! 🎸👍
Killer tones as usual Johan!
Thanks J!
Such great little monsters! I have the JTM-1, and if people smile at it at first, all of them found it exhalirating to play with. Looks like the JMP-1 is similar!
Always enjoy your videos Johan, they remind what is so great about electric guitar :). That Marshall sounds *really* nice.
Couple of points there Johan… you completely channeled Keith Richards!!
⚡️👍🏻⚡️ sounds great as usual!!
Thank you for your work in making these videos always!
Such ear candy!
I have two Jmp 1 watt anniversary amps. One hooked up to a Studio vintage 1×12 loaded with a 1971 Greenback and the other to a 1974 X . And I totally agree with you. Sounds ridiculoulsly good !!!
Cheers Gary! ;-)
All your videos are so amazing and so helpful. It's not like you can just walk into a store and try out a bunch of different vintage amps. At least not in Phoenix Arizona. Once again thank you
Fellow Arizonian here, and I feel you on that. Wish there were better guitar shops in general here
That is great sounding amps!
I like the combination of intelligence and art. 🎸
you are an very good observer!
I want one!
That black tele sounded extremely good!!
Hello Johan, truth to be told is that those Jensen and Celestion vintage speakers are ACTUALLY ridicolously good!❤ You can connect literally any amp to them and the sound will be great!👌🏼Cheers!
Yeah they certainly help! :-)
People.. are you MAD, or what ?? This stupid 1 watt toy, and you rave about "vintage speakers"... lol, gimme a break 😂 ... there is a sucker born every minute, they say.
beautiful tone !
Thanks Rodrigo!
Sounds great!
Thanks Phil!
The CS Tele sounded divine.
When I saw the title.. was thinking of the JMP-1 preamp? lol . That amp sounds killer Johan!!! Marshall have done a excellent job of emulating the "Marshall" sound in solid state and valve devices over the years. Yesterday I found an old 90s pedal/preamp in my stash called a DRP1..needed a little bit of love/deoxit on the pots and a touch up on some solder joints. Its like christmas day for me today ..I now have a great little toy for direct recording ;)...rock and roll in a can.
Wow, great video, pleasure to listen to the excellent sound and tonal quality. There wasn't' one combination of guitar/amp/speaker that I didn't like. That Tele deluxe is a hidden gem.
Great job all around Thank-you.
Have played a couple of 50th anniversary 1 watts and they were both great , this one sounds even better, I much prefer them to the DSL1s. I was hoping they would re-release the 50th 1 watters for their 60th as people seemed to really enjoy them and I would have been keen to buy one.
Thanks Chris! Simon is selling this one at Musikbörsen
@@JohanSegeborn Thanks , I am guessing there will be a fair amount of shipping costs to uk + import duty since brexit though
+ since last week , I need to find money to repair car ..... rather than spend money on things I enjoy!
How much do they cost?
😊 To smile or not 😢
Nice amp.great playing from the king.🎸⚘⚘🙏🙏👍👍👍🔥🔥🔥
Thanks!
I actually got myself two JMP1 50th in 2012 because I thought they were the best anniversary amp only rivaled by the Andertones anniversary the year after with full EQ. the Marshall 1 Watters are really cool and good amps for home players! Great playing and demo as always Johan! :)
I love my jmp1c it sounds so good with a jazzmaster
I had the JTM-45 version of this 1 watt series. Really cool amp for the house.
I had that one when it released. I also had the head version. For my taste , that jmp and the csjtm145 from anderton’s are the best 1 watter for sure
Sold one of these cheap 😢. Bought for cheap three, no four! of the 50th anniversary 1 watters, they looked so cool, but you kinda had to crank em louder than I was comfortable playing them at home. Happier with the Astoria at low power, no overdrive without a pedal but beautiful big rich booming cleans. Also an amp that Johan’s videos helped me decide upon
EPIC sound! HOW did you GET that stereo phaser sound from 1 amp/speaker? OR did you add in post?
Rockin'! \m/
That Affinity Telecaster with the phaser sounds exactly like old Early -mid 70’s Stones. WOW!!!!! What kind of phaser is that? Love your videos and all 4 guitars sounded spectacular.
Marshall would sell tens of millions year in year out if they brought these back .
Damn that’s sounds good.....
Nice! These are really cool, wish the used prices for them in the States wasn't so high, usually $1200-$1400. Granted they were a limited release product, but still..
What a great sounding little amp. New to your channel Johan, love your vids. It would be great to hear you demo the Marshall sv20c combo.
Thanks Matt! Glad to hear it! Will do the SV20C first chance I get.
Look forward the SV20c review/demo. Johan , have you done one on the JCM 800c ?
What are you using for the phaser tones? Wonderful sound
Thanks, I added the Phaser in post on Cubase
@Johan Segeborn it did sound like an old EHX 3800 phaser though didn't it !?
Disappointed he didn't say "let's go".... :-)
Great sounds Johan, but where are the crocs?
Thanks! We actually take off the shoes indoors here in Sweden 😉
Absolutely agree…
Both cabs are 1933?
Yeah indeed!
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸
Sooo sweeeet sounds
I hear some Page, and Frusciante tones in the amp.
I've never heard you make anything sound not ridiculously good.
We have boutique and vintage guitars, boutique and vintage amps, boutique and vintage electronics and pickups, even boutique and vintage strings and picks.
How come the modern speaker market is so *dull* and why is it so seemingly impossible for anyone to make speakers that sound even half as good as 50 year old ones? 🤣
Edit: And why does every guitar speaker have to be 100db sensitivity?!
Great cleans on the Seat. Stones like tone on the tele but amp is not as loose. Third tele sounds great. Les Paul works. Break up on the small anp is accurate unfortunately breakup isn't always about being accurate.. good amp but to sanitized for me me. Like the Les Paul and strat the best.
Cheers Johan from Hawaii. Darrell
Thanks! Darrell! The CS Tele does indeed sound like a Strat
Hi, Johan!
Jensen is not bad! I think, here is a lot of Jensen fans. The black Telecaster is still different than your old good LP. I can't understand, why the neck is looking like Stratocaster? This is the special features, or just replaced neck? Don't know why, but I like Gibson and the yellow gray Tele in this video. Jensen is going well with Les Paul. But still your telecasters are awesome, you are an old boy, so you know better, what you need from the instrument. The black one is not so much well known, I am generally listening to the Gibson in your hands, and I think, that this is the best sound. But time will tell - I am still not ready for the Telecaster vibes in your sound. More and more interesting! See you!
Siegfried
Hi Siegfried! The Telecaster deluxe actually had a Strat headstock. I think it looks weird too. I’m planing on dubbing riffs with that one and the Les Paul like Ace Frehley does. Cheers!
@@JohanSegeborn Even if the black Tele is a little funny looking at first, I like it and think it sounds great.
@@NightOwlSpirit No problems with the guitar - just looks a little strange. The shape of the head is not doing the sound different! Just interesting to see if from the close distance. 😉
@@siegfriedwashburn3484 Agree.🙂
If you go for the Tele Thinline from the same period you get the standard Tele headstock (and a lighter body too). ☺️ Mine’s a ‘78…great guitar.
are you using the power station to add more volume to the amp ?
A tele deluxe with a rosewood board might get even closer to the LP sound.
Would you recommend a 10" speaker upgrade/change for the combo cabinet ?
👍👍
Hey johan what phaser effect were you using here? Thanks
what speaker is in the black cab?
The black cab has the 67 G12H25 and the brown the 63 C12Q
@@JohanSegeborn thanks i like that one the most of the two
Isnt it too loud for playing in flat ? I dont want to disturb my neighbours.

Which would you choose between the JTM-1 and the JMP-1? Both seem really rare and hard to find. Cheers!
It was long ago I played both back to back but I think I slightly preferred the JTM1 then but both are killer. Cheers!
what mic is that on the cab ?
There is phasing on the reverb on the squire?
what phaser are you using?
What flanger did you use with that one riff?
That’s a Phaser actually. I added the Cubase phaser in post
I have the anniversary DSL1 and it will rip your face off. you can exactly replicate Screaming for vengeance era Judas Priest with no pedals
I have the regular stock DSL1 head unit and it's awesome !
the les paul sounded superior. but i must admit, i prefer humbuckers.
Thanks Ed
Man blir aldrig besviken på ljuden på din kanal. Bara för jämförelse, kan du inte kittla en skarv någon gång? Misstänker att du skulle kunna göra vacker musik av det också.
come on John, break down and buy a WIZARD and prove or disprove all the hype. its time.
I hated mine 😮
these fingers are a symbol of the devil, the demon?
Jim Marshall would cringe.. no, he woud squeal.. ONE-WATTER.. 😂 Lordy, where have we got... and you support this nonsence.. as if you never played those great old Marshall plexis.. shame, man..
I can't play loud at home, and even the 20 watter needs to be cranked to reach its sweet spot, many say these 1-watt amps are actually TOO LOUD for playing at home! I prefer clean tones, so the JTM-1H is perfect. More watts does not equal more tone!!
