The house box is to protect the splice from indoor to outdoor. I used it low because that was where the other company was, so putting the box over the hole protects more of the weak indoor fiber. Also the condo owner wants these done a certain way to make them all look the same.

For exemple 1 cable of 48 core means 48 clients can be connected trough this cable ?
Is there any kind of switch for that ?

I think i see your question now, the black cable going into the enclosure should hold 144 strands of fiber or customers, and around 10 fibers are layed out in top tray for techs to hook up customers.

So, Switches are not used in optic fibre to make more than 144 custumers in 1 cable of 144 core.
Is that right.

one OBSERVATION ... it is not OK to touch the fiber with the hands after you are cleaning with alchool.... beacause the hands are greasy ... otherwise its ok ...
