Fellas, I'm a High School small engine teacher about 3 hours from you. My intro students build and then race "go-karts" from thrown away push mowers at the end of every school year. If you ever have an opening in your schedule, I would love for them to get to chat with you about your creative and build processes.
No clue but mayby some email or some more likely they will see your question place to try aswel
send them an email!
I have tried, and so have my students, to contact them through other means with no success. I imagine they are very busy between the channel and full time jobs. Some day it'll link up.
I emailed them 4 years ago about doing an electric halo truck and about a long travel Honda odyssey I had build back in 2002 with a Yamaha r1 motor in it. They never responded. They did end up doing an electric car on shortly after my email. Not sure if it had any influence or if it was just coincidence.
Instead of emailing..
Send an actual letter via snail mail.
So looking forward to showing the chopper to you guys in person at SEMA this year!
I went to SEMA a decade too early 😂
Dude the chopper is amazing well done
See you there!
The finished product is very impressive. Glad I've watched it for the year.
Should totally wear Sturgis shirts to SEMA.
Now that that's finished. I need to see the fire truck done. I've waited for so long it has been my most anticipated project of yours for literal years now.
Same. I have high hopes it's up on the list soon, but I know it'll be so epic it won't matter how long we have to wait. They continually build so much cool stuff that I don't sweat the "what is being built" so much as I just enjoy the process and the success when they finish and take a first real rip.
Same
i have loved every second of this, you are a legend
Doesn't he have to finish the house....
The fire truck build has been canceled, they mentioned it in a podcast, something about led paint, the hummer is the new toy hauler
Whoever is your videographer and editor is top notch. The variety of music, timelapse, and key moments are well-coordinated to give a certain feel of progression. Jazzy experimental, classically organized, groovy in-the-zone, and calmly acoustic hustling... It really gives the feel of just enjoying the process and coming along for the ride as opposed to only "show me the product".
Ethan, truly your Magnum Opus. You didn't compromise. Every detail tweaked or redone to your vision.
Ultimate respect.
Amazing work.
Pro tip: with the cup liners in your HVLP gun. Before spraying, start by turning the gun upside-down and pulling the trigger until you see paint. This vacuums the air out of the cup, so it's paint only. You'll be able to spray at any angle, and the volume of paint being sprayed will be consistent until the cup is empty.
I also think he needs to widen the fan angle a little bit.
And it's a 2 stage trigger, leave fist stage pulled to minimize the initial burst of heavy paint
Ah yes, the condescending 'pro tips', even though it came out looking perfect.
@1-9-8-0 not intending to be condescending at all... just offering a helpful tip. I'm a fan, and I wouldn't think to criticize. I been spraying lacquer for 20 years and didn't know until someone tipped me off to it. The gun will spray fine regardless, as proven. Bleeding the air from the cup helps with tight spaces, angles, and consistency. The bike and paint turned out incredible!
@jaredcarpenter323 1-9-8-0 is just cranky he is turning 45 soon haha. Thanks for the helpful tips! Spread that knowledge 🙂
Thumbnail is menacing dude! Looks like a movie poster and the chopper looks straight out of that movie.

@Emiichoco I looked up the batbike again. I guess they put some nice engines in it,probably be Fun as heck!🙂
The bike is so stunningly unreal looking almost thought the thumbnail was something a bad AI dreamed up

We’re so stoked
@@GrindHardPlumbingCoI would have sprayed the suspension and frame, in the plain stainless Steel-It from spraybombs, for multiple reasons.. It still looks great tho! ...Steel-It would also sponsor GHPC.... If the brakes get too hot, maybe try a pair of Wilwood car brakes intended for a light car... 😉
FR its only been a year? I feel like ive been waiting for this day for at least 4 years lol
FR its only been a year? I feel like ive been waiting for this day for at least 4 years lol
They just need to make it a hybrid where there's an electric generator, a battery pack, and a hub motor in the front wheel to give it low gear 2 x 2 capability.
I'm a concept artist in the video game industry, and myself and so many people I know draw crazy stuff like this just for fun. But seeing this beast come to life and be totally functional brings me so so much joy! This thing is rad!
I really appreciate when youtubers put real effort and pride into a build and don't just rush to the finish for the sake of getting content out
A year ago I stumbled across a group of utter nutcases who had the idea of building a monster chopper. Since then I have been obsessed with your videos and project, and just the general energy! you guys are built different
I cant believe its been a whole year, does not feel like it at all
Paused the video just to post this..... I do collision work for a living. And I CANNOT tell you how happy I am to see you using 3m platinum filler on your panels. The love this chopper is getting is everything it deserves and to see you using high grade body filler options makes my heart happy! Keep being awesome. This build is the Highmark of this channel and you should be so proud! Badass fab work, bad ass rider for a bad ass one of kind whip! Most SEMA worthy home grown rig I think UA-cam will ever see! Don't ever stop. GHPC will always be my favorite UA-cam channel 🤟👍
I would’ve liked to see him put a thin layer of glaze on the filler before the primer but oh well
@crzyvaps does that stop paint absorption by the filler?
😂😂 just a shame he has no clue on wtf he is doing and it’s going to sema wow standards are low these days I guess he has one up on most of them his runs but so dose his paint😂😂
@@darrengeorge2308 Bro I think you're talking bout a different Sema, Sema from 'your days' must've been on the moon

Just wanted to say, Amazing cinematography and photography! It really elevates the entire build video.
thats edwin's work. The music is great too
I'd really like to see just a regular shot from the side so I can see what it actually looks like. Less is more sometimes.
I just wanted to say Good Luck, we are all counting on you.
I love how grindhard separates themselves from other people that build stuff with insane cinematography and sound all of this is on top of there insanely creative builds and I love that they don’t swear. You guys are a thrill to watch keep up the good work
1:14:49 it's amazing how much a packed tip can change the tone of the exhaust. I did the same thing to my straight piped Dakota in highschool and nobody believed me that the tip made it change its loudness. I took that idea to the Clean Snowmobile Competition and we took quietest snowmobile with a two-stroke engine! Thanks for showing everyone that I was right!
What an exciting transformation! Fitting race car parts onto an LS Humvee is a bold and innovative idea that blends rugged durability with high-performance engineering. This project showcases creativity and a willingness to push the boundaries of what a Humvee can do. It’s fascinating to think about how these enhancements will improve speed and handling while maintaining the vehicle's tough exterior. This kind of cross-pollination between different automotive worlds is always inspiring and could lead to some thrilling results on the track. Can’t wait to see how this project unfolds , definitely an exciting venture
Ed march of C90 adventures has done small some videos with a mini Jeep, including making it float so he could cross a lake driving 1000 miles to Moab and tank tracks so the drive it to area 51 in the winter. He’s a lunatic in the best kind of way or as we say in England, he’s a bit eccentric.
C90 Adventures is amazing!
Ed is a legend!
Love his videos
Came here to say this! Love his work
That final reveal in the shed with the smoke around the chopper makes it look like it's CGI, it looks so unrealistic but so amazingly beautiful. What a bike... 👍👌
Great video work. I guess that's Steven's magic.
Needs a really nice stitched leather seat. This build has been dope as hell. Amazing work.
I agree on the leather seat, It would be a shame to sit on that paint and wear it off.
matte black leather with orange stitching!
@@jerryffvt3722tan leather
@@jerryffvt3722An homage to its KTM roots 🙂. Great idea.
A dark brown leather gets my vote, I feel like that's a beautiful combo with drab green
Missed opportunity to paint it black and dress up as batman!
A Batman theme would def be sick on that bike
Predictable man. Been done a million times before as well. Glad he did something different.
no way robert pattinson could handle this thing
Very true, but then it would be the bat pod, not the Monster Chopper
Just an AWESOME build and with that "muffler" it sounds just like it looks.
Ive watched this whole build ITS FINALY DONE
We’re so stoked!
After SEMA it'll get put up and forgotten like every other build. Probably dissected later for parts on another build.
@@JarofMayonaise Naw this is Ethan's engineering baby, there are tons of people with hot rod barbie jeeps and mini jet boats. This is completely one of a kind.
@@JarofMayonaiseNot a chance. This is a masterpiece that will never be stripped for parts.

Thank you to the whole GHPC team for documenting and walking us through the whole process. Many UA-cam channels build cool stuff, but few show the level of detail you guys do. The extra effort does not go unnoticed!
You have a good natural flow to your spraying technique. With just a little refinement you will be excellent. Please practice tapering your air fluid transition at the gun. What I mean by that is try closing off the fluid as you end a pass but keep the air flowing. This will enable you to taper your fluid to what is just needed and will also reduce overspray. This will be a big help especially with clearcoat. Practice a bit by never stopping the airflow but squeezing enough fluid to coat your part. Once you get this, you will never go back to your ON OFF spraying you are doing now. Trust me, I have sprayed thousands of cars bikes, aircraft boats and furniture. I am 67nyears old and still spraying because I enjoy it!
I love that the community came together and watched this build enough to turn into a truly finished product! I hope we get to see more long term projects like this that get to make it full completion. You are a master mind Ethan!
Looking into your sandblaster cabinet, you should have an entry hole for clean air and an exit hole connected to a vacuum cleaner just to remove all dust from inside of it while sandblasting. You should also have a removable glass attached (with some brackets) beneath that plastic sheet. Is more durable and you can make it removable from the lateral door hatch. When the glass becomes too scratched and opaque, just replace it with another one. I have a similar cabinet and it works well this way. Awesome, awesome job you've been doing. Cheers from Portugal,
I was going to say exactly the same thing.
Yeah the exhaust of the cabinet is non existing. In cabinets you want negative pressure gravity resisting flow, as in filtered intake channel back of the cabinet that prevent heaviest material from flowing out with air and sucking dust protected fan on top that pulls dust out and into filter. Would not use vacuum cleaner since its low volume high speed extraction, when you want large volume low speed extraction. With my blasting cabinet i have troubles on figuring suitable all year round filtering system, but one would be if used little and/or warm climate, have pumps spray mist of water that traps the dust particles and drops them into bucket that then has sediment filtering and pump to recycle water to nozzles. Another would be some fabric type of filtering or if it does not bother you, just pump the air outside, but that is loosing lots of air in cold climates, so maybe cold intake into cabinet and then pump the dust outside, though it will cover large area with the sand dust.
For the window, thin sheet plastic cover on both sides is the most cost effective solution, though if you can deal the with replacing sacrificial glass then go for it, but here glass is more expensive than sheet of plastic. Regardless you want to protect the main window from both sides with something optically clear.
You guys are a huge inspiration to me! I always LOVE watching your stuff. I feel like I've learned so much since I started watching you. Thanks so much for your commitment to this channel!
Thank you!! And you are very welcome! Glad it’s been an inspiring for you!
You say we've fallen in love with the rusty look. I've been screaming inside about how much time, sweat, blood, and tears that went into this project and it has been left without the protection of paint to prevent it from rotting. I'm happy to see you finishing it up right.
Hot take: The rusty look gives it more characteristic. It's too cleaning looking for a mean-looking handbuilt "offroad" bike,.
@@CGGS_0 -- No, that's the appearance a rattle can paint job gives you. It isn't like getting it professionally painted, but it DOES protect the metal and can easily be touched up if it gets scratched. The rusty look just makes it appear that you dgaf and just slapped something together, not really intending for it to last any amount of time, or even really work right, in the end. If you care about it, even a little bit, painting only takes a tiny portion of your build time and assured that it won't be a rust heap that's falling apart in a couple years.
@@kender1412 I don’t recall asking… But, thanks for the obvious answer to a none-existent question that was never asked…
@@CGGS_0 -- You replied to my comment, prick. I responded. I could just ask easily say your reply was unsolicited, but I'm not a douche canoe, like you are...
@@CGGS_0 -- Ok, troglodyte. You replied to MY comment. I responded to your reply. If I was as much of a perfect specimen of a male with INCREDIBLY small genitalia as you are, I might have said your reply was unsolicited.

Thank you man!
Such an awesome build! A stitched leather seat, and some subtle pinstriping on the tank and fender would be icing on this rad cake!
Rusty Paint Job had a mad max feel to it, new paint has more of a cyberpunk feel to it.
Like a bike fit to ride with the Nomads
Turned out really beautiful. The metallic gun metal really shows off all the work put into frame & swing arms.
The green and orange look good together. And so many little improvements on reassembly. What a killer project. Very well done.
Can't believe we had the ENTIRE build to watch. You did yourself MEGA PROUD gentlemen. BEAUTIFUL JOB! Whoa yeah.... O, and I almost forgot to say that I didn't think you'd ever disassemble the WHOLE BIKE and watch it get PAINTED - JUST BEAUTIFUL !!!!
You guys are outdoing yourselves across the board, with every new video. The cinematography, the builds, the soundtrack, the improvised sketches, the editing... awesome stuff.
Took me 3 days to finish the video…coolest build ever…period. Thanks for letting us be part of the journey!
Watching you guys build, test, revise, brake, and rebuild has been borderline addicting. Truly a dream come true to see all these machines come to life.
I was driven mad when the shaved tyre was swapped, yet there was no showing of shaving the other. The freshly painted guard sitting on the (as I was aware) unshaved tyre.
I’m amazed at your patience and drive to pull every little bit apart, prep for painting (ugh!) tweak and refine and reassemble carefully.
Outstanding!
I live in Northern Montana. Worked at a Glass Shop/Bike Shop. In the winter we would create custom motorcycles. Take a big Kawasaki and replace what we could with aftermarket Harley parts. We would show the bike at our spring car show. Polish all the aluminum, etc. I would lay my project out exactly like you do. My favorite part was making the throw away pile. Been following this since day one. Details, details, details.
The attention to detail along this entire build is unbelievable. I haven’t seen a cooler build series ever.
You guys are amazing...an inspiration! I've been wanting to start my own platform on you tube and watching you is pushing me over the edge. We are going to call it Scrap Masters. Everything we build will be done out of scrap Materials.
Sandblaster cabinet tip: put aluminum window screen on standoffs about an inch below the plexiglass to keep it clearer.
My dad used glass instead of plexiglass. Single pane glass is cheap and it lasts a reasonably long time
Ad them ideas up for the best fix😊
Looks like it doesn't have a evac fan either would make a world of difference on the dust buildup
Great tip ,thanks !
Ethan’s internal scale never ceases to amaze me
1:16:49 definitely it's best angle!
I Am a Mechanical Prodigy, been my entire life,my father got me interested in automotive and beyond,my first build was a 37 chevy coupe. I am retired now and tinker when I can, just love what you can create, keep up the fun.
What an amazing build, so unique and beautiful. Quite the vision and determination to see it through. The filming and editing really brings this all together, and I hope he appreciates his support peeps. All around, really enjoyed randomly finding this series! "Chef's kiss" as he says.
This monster bike is a masterpiece! She deserves to be admired at every chance given... don't keep her locked away...
I know you plan to pair her with the Humvee... I remember what Ethan said about painting it THIS color... so there's a pattern... DON'T SEND HER ''TO THE WOODS'' TO RUST!...
c90adventures did a 1000 miles adventure with a mini jeep like you guys bought. He transformed it into a boat to cross a lake too. He's doing an other series where he transformed it with sled tracks.
The rachetstrap bike swing 👌
The words "flying motorcycle" were echoing in my brain the whole time.
I am just so blown away that thing is easily the coolest thing I’ve seen in a very long time. I can’t imagine how much better it looks in person. Just wow congratulations!
Could've also kept some bits rusty, and the rest, gray as you did. Wouldve had a different aesthetic, but probably equally as dope looking. Either way, dope
Love watching this build and the long videos! You talking about trimming trees and the dog's lack of F's to give reminds me of the saying " he has a full 6 pack just lacks the little plastic thing to hold it all together"
Yep. That's like the military/USAF 'squawks' that were communications between aircrew and ground crew in WWII. Other examples,
'Targeting radar hums.' Response, 'Targeting radar reprogrammed with the words',
'Evidence of an oil leak on right main landing gear.' Response, 'Evidence removed.'
'In altitude hold mode, autopilot produces a 200ft per minute descent.' Response, 'Difficult to reproduce problem on the ground.'
Etc.
We need to see Arnold Schwarzenegger ride this beast!
Yes

This is incredible! What a piece of engineering.. There's 2 things it needs in my opinion. A nice design for a seat. And a front wheel 🛞 mudguard! Apart from that, it's absolutely awesome! 🔥🔥
The Editing on this episode, is great. not to long on shots, not to slow, good variety of shots, while still visually connected. also pulls in some of the old GHP songs. This is good stuff.

Please don’t let this one rot in the yard after SEMA. Put it up for auction at Mecum’s or something. Someone will pay a lot for that chopper, especially because the entire build is documented.
5:40 should definitely develop and sell a Monster Chopper™️ model kit. That would be badass!
I hope the paint holds up better for yall than it did for me. I painted a minibike with a different color but nearly all the same products. I used the matching clear for the paint is about the only difference. I had my frame sand blasted and baked before priming and painting too. Chip resistance is VERY low. Hopefully the clear youre going with is tougher
I can't believe they didn't powdercoat. Looks like duplicator sponsored this. Seems unfortunate.
@@s13kuminachu given where they are, and availability of powder coating services, it makes sense to a degree. I don't blame them but I also can't disagree. I think they'd have been well suited to build a large DIY oven big enough to do this on their own for less than the cost of sending it all for powder coating.
I can't speak for the exact availability of powdercoating in their area, but I live in a much less rural area and we only have like two within a reasonable drive. And one of them is barely reasonable. Dropping off parts and coming back takes all day. The other one is 45 minutes or so from my house.
@@goosenotmaverick1156 they did take the frame parts to a powder coating shop to have them Sandblasted… He had every opportunity to powder coat them if he wished
@desertvet1990 I guess I should pay more attention.
Also I've used powder coating shops before for sandblasting and coating. It's usually easier to get a quick blast in than it is to get it coated. Last time I had it done it was gonna be like 2-3 weeks for coating. It took them 3 days to sneak it in and get it sandblasted.
