I'm glad to see these companies are offering real technology to improve the radio experience and not just gimmicky crap. Definitely will own one of these.
I appreciate the time that you put into this test. Excellent representation of noise and sound quality. You are the first to do any broadcast type tests. That NRC really filters out the background noise. I agree excellent audio on the mic. Itappears to be a nice upgrade . Thanks for your in depth test, best on the net!
Pretty awesome. Great job on this review! With that Mic being adjustable for noise reduction ( Without losing Modulation) it opens up new options. Well done!
Excellent A/B screen comparison Mr. 390. I'm a fan of President and love my Lincoln. However, I was a bit dismayed to find out the DigiMike has a delay. Big deal, right? Well, If you wear headsets you'll hear a half second delay! The result is it throws the brain off while talking and not being able to listen to yourself in real time. Quite frustrating. It's not a big deal if you don't wear headsets. So OK I give up the headsets...i lose not only mic monitoring and tweaking but also zeroing in on those far away QRP tries. Nicely built DigiMike from President ...... but the delay!!!!!
I have a President Ronald in a 2018 pickup. The mic gain is all the way up and I am told it is loud and clear. However, other drivers tell me they can hear substantial road noise. I am hoping the DigiMike, which I just received, will help with that. Thanks for a great video, very detailed and leaves out all the usually yammering people do. : )
Did you use your "O" scope, or your computer Mike? If your using your computer, what sort of program did you use to measure "AF" waveforms??? Great review 390, your reviews cover the subject at hand very well, and without being over technical to where a "new to the hobby" person, like myself, can understand what yer talking about!!!🤠👍
I don’t hear any difference between DIGI and stock microphone when noise reduction is off, and I’m listening on good headphones. I think you should buy this microphone only if you’re using your radio in a noisy place, otherwise it’s the same as stock one from President Radio…
Is it compatible with most radios? It sounds good. I’m a bit concerned about it taking power from the radio because K-40 tried that for a power mic back around the 70’s or 80’s and it didn’t work. But this isn’t a power mic.😊
I think its a good New step twrds a noise canceling mic, As the RK56 got cheap (which was my go to mic in the old semi trucks) I found just messing with mic gains and possable adding some sort of batting/padding inside the mic case to absorb any "road noise" was almost as good, but it wasn't a RK56..lol I just tested the center pin on the 980 Bearcat and got 7.94v. I wonder..... I do have a Linc2+ stock mic but I think its bunk/broke, no audio. I may use the 980 as a back up in the semi truck (new job around the corner in June) So it'd be nice if the NRC mic worked on it. Good compairison Sir. thanks!! 2WR15117/2UDX15117 Greeley, Colorado
I bought one and put it on my president II plus. I couldn’t get the noise reduction to work. Push buttons no light or voice telling if off or on or what level.
Hi 390 WagonMaster. There are 2 different schools, one of them teachs us that power microphone is the best and the other that the noise reduction microphone is better. I think that this kind of microphone is only usefull in your car or if your wife is screaming about you ( lol ). Other microphones exist like Astatic 636 (without Up/Down ). 73
I’m looking at your radio in the background and I’m kicking myself in the ass last week. I could’ve picked up a GTL 2000 with a speaker for $120 and I didn’t do it. I do have the guys number I think he still has it Since I got involved with 10 m radios like any tones I have no interest in old radios
I imagine It could be wired up to different rigs, most hammy ham radios with B+ on the mic connector could power it. Now that I think about it... the DIGIMIKE gets 12v from the President/Uniden radios and most hammy ham rigs output 8v if I remember correctly. IDK Might be worth a try.
@@390WagonMaster I was thinking same thing about the 12v .. maybe build a little box to plug mic into th could power the mic.. run a six wire cable as to power the mic and also wire a typical four pin like cobra/galaxy/stryker etc… i mic give it a go! Btw 390 , great job on the video ! Informative and Well done comparisons!
This was possibly the best demonstration of a noise-cancelling mic I've ever seen. Kudos 👍

Best microphone review I have ever seen, Well Done 🙂
Walcott had a flash sale I bought one for $29.00 shipped. Something else I don't need.
That’s a good deal. I use my DIGIMIKE whenever I use the President radios. It is a natural sounding mic. Not muffled sounding like the stock mics.
Nice clear modulation it sounds better than the stock mic and the d104 hand mic
Absolutely fantastic
Hello Mike have a great weekend

Can you program the roger-beep to say "Get outa' my chair!" ? Love the review there Wagonmaster!
I wish!

Modern 6 pin Presidents and the BearCat 980 type radios as well.
an adaptercable can be made to use that mic with on an Icom IC-7300 and other radios.
NRC for 2024
Great review and I think level 3 was the best. Thanks for showing this in detail.
3 is my setting in the mobile as well. Cheers.
nice mike . i wish it had channel up and down buttons.
It does have up/down buttons. Stay tuned for more details about this mic.
great video TY
Digi-mike GOOOOOD!!!!!
Very good review!
I suppose this microphone has an electret element?
Yes, Electret for TX Voice and a micro speaker so you can hear the menu functions

It is a great upgrade to the stock president mic with the Lincoln 2+ and it changes the channel

It sounds like 390 WagonMaster✌✌
Great video
Thank you. I use this mic exclusively on the McKinley II FCC it sounds great.

Can we get a review on the digi mic ran with the president richard
Great review
Level 2 sounds good
I wish I have one.... hi hi hi hi 👍👍👍🙏🙏🙏
46 bucks and your good.............
I think what you were looking for is,
" Digital Artifacts " ?
Also known as,
" R2D2 " sounds !
Want to get one for my president Richard
How did it work with the richard?
I just ordered one of these for my lincoin 2+ even tho I get compliments on my stock mic all the time.
You will not be any louder but you voice wil be clear with more detail. Get ready for more compliments.
Hey dosnt the harrison already have NRC? I wonder if it doubles with the digimic .
The NRC will pull double duty however the big advantage of using the DIGIMIKE is the upgraded audio quality of the DIGI vs the stock mic.
It's good for the president Lincoln?
Yes
Can you use this mic on any radio??? Or only will work with president radios

Think it'll work on a Uniden bearcat 980?
@CB.PUNISHER.1900 Thanks!
Any Bearcat/President with the 6 pin and 13V on pin 6
@@390WagonMaster To bad it won't change channels like the original mic...
President DIGIMIKE , work for president bill 2 ?
Yes it works very well on that radio.
# 25...for the like button
Do you need to change the settings on the radio?
No. EL is the default. FYI. it will work both ways.
Thank you WagonMaster....I appreciate the quick response. 73's to ya.

Personally I think the Florescent Green PTT, is a deal breaker !
Will the guts fit into another microphone shell ?
🤔....?
good mic for the beginner Ill take my 48 volt MXL 990 mic
