    Great video bro !! I recently learned I have tendinitis in both my knees and I won't lie it kind of discouraged me and I thought it'd just always be like that but I'm about to look into the program you mentioned that will help me with that! Keep the vids coming, cant wait for the next one.

    Great video, Grant. You make quality content. I appreciate your transparency, and your use of graphs is pretty smart. When I was a teenager all I really knew about increasing my vertical was plyometrics. It’s great that you’re trying to help kids who today have all of UA-cam at their finger tips. Keep up the good work.

    Great video. I’m in my 40s and am on my dunk journey, and can dunk 9’ 10’’. If you were to start again, would you do the ATG/KOT exercises from the start, or only when you felt pain? I do them once a week when I’m lifting twice a week.

    5'11" barely touched the rim, now I'm doing 100 squats a day, 100+ calf raises, 100 box jumps a day and I'm biking to school everyday, my legs hurt every single day, but it's worth it if I improve

      @@Milanlundandersen do Bulgarian split squats, with both forward leaning and straight, and do plyos, dunk on a low rim, though don't ramp up work load too soon as it really could easily cause an injury, get good sleep and eat well, fat don't fly too so get less than 20% bf or probably u will be injured from overuse in the long run. coming from experience

    I can hex bar deadlift 335 x 5 at 200lbs without any real training. Is that a decent enough base of strength potential already? Should I start focusing on explosive movements with lighter weight + plyometrics maybe?

    • @SmartHeartBasketball
      @SmartHeartBasketball  3 роки тому +1

      Probably ... but your weight room numbers shouldn’t be compared to the average joe’s. They should be compared to your jumping/sprinting numbers ... if you were already jumping 40” you pry need even more weight room. If you think you’re a “stronger” athlete than you are an “explosive” athlete then it’s pry time to switch up and vice versa

    • @SmartHeartBasketball
      @SmartHeartBasketball  4 роки тому +2

      No you're probably just like I was and haven't been rewarded for your efforts yet. You have built a decent base of strength, so now it just comes down to how fast you can express it and technique. I would take a break from lifting and focus on sprints and jumping. 👍
