I love the colors. I tell you I could watch you do your beautiful painting all day long. So so beautiful. The colors you use could go in any house decor I think. Just pure perfect to me. Thank you for doing these videos so we can see the beautiful perfect pieces that you do .
Wow, you are so patient with your pieces - but it pays off as you produce stunning finishes. Thank you for your videos. I am a furniture-painter and I have been greatly inspired by watching your techniques.

Hi Kim!!! Thanks so much for the kind words!!! There are quite a few videos I made during COVID-19 quarantine so I hope you are binging on them! 😂🎨🙏❤️❤️❤️❤️

Oh boy!!!! Loving ALL the details on your very own dresser... saltwash is amazing. You are a true artist 👩🏼🎨. One of a kind. GREAT work. Have a fantastic weekend and enjoy your piece. PS: I lived in a place where all the floors were done like the top of your piece. Brings back great memories 👍👍👍👩🏼🎨💫😎😷☀️🌸🌺🌷❤️❤️❤️❤️

Hi Jeanne!! That is so sweet!! 💕💕 Annie Sloan is a huge inspiration for me with her amazing eye for colour and artistic expertise and her books are a great source of ideas for me!! Hi @anniesloanhome I am available!!! 🎨🎨 I would love to work at the chalk paint factory! It's my version of Disney Land!! lol!!! Thanks for support to my channel and feedback greatly appreciated!! 🎨❤️🙏
So beautiful. I have had a can of saltwash for 2 years...kind of timid to use it because it seemed so much texture. Never thought if using it dry like this. A very beautiful effect
Hi Teri I felt the same as you!! If you can try a small project with this technique and let me know what you think. I am still learning how to use saltwash, I like to play with products and see what I can come up with. As I learn something new I will share with you all!! 💕🙏❤️🎨
Gorgeous as always❤️❤️❤️ Your tutorials are so easy to follow and your explanations for each step you do all comes together in the end to create a masterpiece🥰
Cristina, sei fantastica! Lavori come se tu stessi dipingendo un quadro. Sono sicura che sei una pittrice. Sei molto creativa e conosci perfettamente come si usa il colore. Ti seguo e vedo spesso i tuoi video. Ho però un problema; spesso non capisco cosa sono alcuni prodotti che usi. Non importa, continuerò a guardare i tuoi affascinanti video da cui ho già imparato molte cose. Grazie!🌼🧡🌼
Just Amazing Christina! Lots of hours went in to that one and boy does it show! Bravo! I'm loving all the color and texture! Wow!! I love the fresco, but I am curious as to how white, brown and black speck with maybe a bit of blue and maybe a graphit/red speckle added🤔
Nikki Lloyd ... you are the sweetest Nikki 🤗💙 Thank you so much 🙏 You have an amazing eye for details!!!!! I did add a few fly specs 😬 I honestly didn’t want to confuse people and I try so hard to make the videos shorter than 20 mins but I did not add to much, I was happy with just the fresco on top of the wax! I am going to remember that lol 😂 I know Nikki will catch any details so mention it anyway 🧐☺️

Looks amazing! I’m looking for some inspiration and colour guidance. Hope you can help......🙂. I want to do this effect on a wardrobe cupboard and love Annie Sloan primer red. If I’m looking for this colour to really come through, should this be the base coat or used on top of another colour? Also, which colours do you think might work well to use together with primer red and salt wash technique, please? Again, thank you for an amazing tutorial. Really love your tutorials! Clare
I would start with a base coat of graphite with Paris grey random areas for full coverage and then add the primer red and I would mix a bit of Graphite with it. With the salt wash you can use it with your base coat. once you are happy, with the colours formulate, then you can add the salt wash as I demonstrated in this video! 🙏🎨❤️
Hello Christina! I've been binge-watching you forever! I love your work! I am a furniture painter as well; I typically use kosher salt as an additive to my paint for texture; could you tell me how Saltwash differs? I have been considering trying it, just not sure what the difference is, except maybe it looks like a little finer grit out of the can? Thank you!
Milton's Daughter ... thank you so much for your kind comment and support 🙏💙💙 The kosher salt is a great idea 💡 great idea! The difference between the Saltwash and kosher salt alone is the Saltwash as additional textures in it so it makes for a thicker texture medium when added to paint , almost like a dry wall compound as an example ☺️ It adheres very strong and the salt is very fine ! Definitely try a small sample size and see if you like it 😉💚💚 Thanks so much for watching and hope some of the videos are inspirational for your projects 🤗🎨💙
Hi Cristina--is your hand really moving that fast, or do you speed up the video?😯 Thank you so much for all of your tutorials. I'm addicted. I think I may need rehab.😂
Love the finish. Im curious about how you use the gel stain. The reason being, I have used that brand for years, however I have always wiped any excess, or wiped back. I noticed you dont. Understandable it would be difficult with the stencil. But on the other you didn't. I've also used a rag to apply. Does the foam brush make so there is no excess? ( ps I'm going to use your stencil idea on a ice box I'm refinishing.) Maybe I'll try a foam brush, I have many....lol
Julie ... thank you so much Julie for your kind words and comment 🙏💙 You are right to wipe back the stain! In my situations I am actually trying to cover up a lot of flaws so I want the gel stain to be thick, even in previous videos. I love the dark rich look and any stains on the wood I can’t sand out it covers beautifully! If you have a nice even wood with mint condition, I do recommend using a clean cloth and wipe it back! The main reason I don’t so it looks like wood without the look underneath to show through😉 Just like the demo on the chalk painted surfaces! You won’t be able to tell it is paint underneath. It’s a bit of a fast track for anyone wanting a wood appearance and not sand off especially in hard areas 🤗💙
Good afternoon and thank you very much fot the beautiful presentation. I am eager to trz to make something similar, as I got inspiration. Thank you. My problem is, I cannot find the product you used in the end FRESCO, rusric texture....I really do not know where to buy it. May be you have a shop with the products...I would gladly put the order with your shop ...Thank you for the answer. Natalija.
Hi Natalija! Thank you for the kind words!! If you can't find fresco, you could use the salt wash product as an alternative. Another product that can give you the same texture is baking powder. I hope this helps! ❤️🎨🙏
Catherine Miles ... I just added the Saltwash to the paint as I was painting using the sea sponge and the water that remained in the sponge 🧽. I did it this way to control the amount of Saltwash as I was working to add less in certain areas and more in other 😉🎨💚💚

Plaster of Paris works practically the same way as this “ salt wash”.
