Such a great video, exactly what I want to see!
The reviews by journalists never speak about this great characteristic of the camera
Just purchased this camera. your videos have definitely helped me understand how to operate it! Thank You
Very well explained. Much better explained than the user guide. Thank you, it was useful to me.
You are REALLY GOOD at explaining things. Perfect examples as well! Great job!
Thank you :)
thank you so much for posting this.. much better seeing you go through this live than reading an instruction manual.. much appreciated!!
You're welcome!
I bought the RX100M7. I've seen your tutorial many times. And I understood the HFR function. Thank you very much.
You are very welcome!
thank you Jay, thank you for the good information about hispeed in sony rx100vi.
Just bought this camera and your video was very helpful for understanding the HFR options.
Glad it was helpful and thanks for the comments!
Thanks. Very helpful video!
Super informative video on HFR mode. Thank you for this!!
You are very welcome and thank you for the comments!
Thank you for your detailed explain, it's really helpful!
I especially like the moment at 8:11-8:16.
Glad it was helpful and thank you for the kind words :)
Excellent review, thanks
One of the best explanations on youtube, thanks for keeping it simple.
Thanks, best video I have seen for explaining the Sony slow motion recording operation. Thanks
Thank you and glad it was helpful!
@@Jason_Hermann Well, the Sony manual is not that good at explaining HFR operation. Even though I am not a photographic beginner, moving into HFR is new and I needed to understand the capabilities and triggering options especially since the amount of time you can use HFR modes is limited to seconds. After viewing your presentation, I was able to make the decision to buy a RX10M4 which operates in HFR like the RX100. I live among many birds, including hummingbirds, so I have the motivation to move beyond the recording capabilities of my A6000. The RX10M4 HFR and the 25x optical zoom is quite exciting. Unfortunately, the camera is also painfully expensive. Your review was among several I watched and read but was by far the best explaining Sony HFR. Thanks again.
Very useful. Thanks! 🙂
Thanks for the video on HFR mode.tip top.
Thanks for the video. I wouldn't have worked that out by myself. Was thinking I needed to do post production or something.
thanx for that, jay!
Nice video, thanks a lot.
Perfectly described. Short n sweet. Thanks man!!
Thanks, Jay! Very helpful!
Glad it was helpful!
Nice job! .. thank you
Good video! Thank you
right, that extra stop on mk5 is very useful for 1000fps. i'll take f1.8 instead of distant reach anytime on a pocket cam...
Thanks for the Video :) What is about the Exposure modes in slow motion? Like Auto exposure, aperture priority, shutter priority. Which one should i use outdoor with natural sunlight? Thank you :)
It depends on what you are trying to accomplish. I usually use aperture priority mode so I have the most control over the depth of field. You want to most light possible for the HFR mode, so I usually try and keep the lens wide open at f/2.8 or f/4.5 when zoomed to the max. This will make sure the ISO stays as low as possible and will yield you the cleanest looking footage.
@@Jason_Hermann thank you so much :)
I realize I am kind of randomly asking but does anyone know a good site to watch newly released tv shows online ?

@Dakari Luca Thank you, signed up and it seems like a nice service =) I appreciate it!
I struggled with this mode for a while and now, thanks to you, I've got it.
Awesome! Thank you for the comments Ary :)
Thanks help out alot
Thank you ... so cool!
Thank you too!
Thanks Brother 🙏🏼
Thank you for the detailed explanation.
Start trigger and trigger descriptions were hard to find on the web.
Glad it was helpful and you are very welcome ;)
Thank you for this video. I was looking for resolutions as well. I'm noticing that higher frame rates usually equal lower resolutions (720p). Is this all 1080p?
very nice review. Thank you. Do you have 90 fps photo test ? it produce 7 photos. I would like to see tennis shorts. the ball landing on the racket string . its quite difficult to catch that timing by normal cameras.
Cheers mate
Thank You Jay. Muy claro y útil, excelente. .El video anterior de MODOS es excelente !!!. Te consulto si podes recomendar alguna lente gran angular , para acoplar al magnetic filter de 52mm. Saludos
I'm sorry I am not sure about that Pablo...
hi jay! i would like to know how many seconds you can record in hfr mode. thanks!!
Thanks a lot. Do you have any suggestions how to remotely (wired or not) trigger HFR recording ?
Jay, really enjoy your tutorial videos. It's also nice to have someone doing tutorials for the Sony RX100 Mark 6, there aren't many out there! I'm going to be headed on a road trip soon and want to get the best out of the new Mark 6 that I just bought and was wondering if you could do tutorial on how recording video on the Mark 6 works and the things that it is capable of. Thanks and hope all is well.
Hi Chris, be sure to check out the latest Sony HX99 Tutorials I just published. They will also apply to the Sony RX100 series cameras as all the Sony cameras work pretty much the same exact way. Here are the two new videos I just published that should really help you get the most out of the RX100 VI. Good to know, thanks @@Jason_Hermann ! and thanks for the quick response, too man, you've got a loyal subscriber!
@@Jason_Hermann final question, do you ever do time lapsing with the mark 6? was wondering if you know a trick to doing that with this camera or if you buy a remote which is a trusty one. thanks again
You can't do it on camera unfortunately, but you can do it with the help of this affordable highly reviewed remote intervalometer: bhpho.to/2y00n4z
Great video, thanks. I'm finding your videos on the RX100Vii and Vi excellent as I'm new to the camera. One question ... in slow motion mode how do you go between functions whilst taking a video? Or is it all done in editing software at the end of the shoot; can it be done on the go?
Hello, In HFR Slow Motion mode when recording you cannot change settings. You must be in standby mode in order to change the settings.
Hello Jay,
Is there any option to escape from the Buffering while shooting in HFR.
As I am trying to capture continuous action motion , but missing it as I have to wait till the Recording has completed .. then I can press movie button.
thank you the sample video, and i have a question, so if paired the iphone with rx100 m6 the foto and xavs files succes transfer between devices, but if insert the sd card the iphone and ipad lighting card reader the xavs file not displayed when i import the files, why not display the xavs files? thanks..
Jay - good video, you helped me understand the quality tradeoffs between different frame rates and the difference between start and end trigger. My question: in shooting settings mode, prior to hitting record, is there no way to lock focus at a certain focal length via half press of shutter button?
Hi Jeff, no there is not. You must get out of the standby mode in order to focus, and then go back into standby mode in order to press record. The way around this is to switch the camera to manual focus and then it will be locked for sure on whatever you want. For example, use Auto focus to get it where you want, then switch to manual focus. The focus will then be locked on whatever you focused on last. Be sure not to touch the zoom and you should be good to go!
Thanks Bro, I'll use MF and try to use a bit smaller Aperture
Thank you for this video. I bought the RX 100 specifically for the 960 frames per second and it has impressed me but I'm wondering if it's a good idea to go easy on how often, ,in a row, one would get shooting the clips at that high frame rate. I feel like it's a very demanding way to shoot and I don't want to overpower or overheat something and render this camera useless. Thanks for any into.
Don't worry about the camera breaking... If it gets to hot for example, the camera will automatically shut off before anything breaks...
hi Jay, top info again... what do you use for editing the videos?
Hello, I use Final Cut Pro
That's a great videos I have done exactly what you have said my only drama with the Sony Range of cameras even my a6000. Its trying to get video off the camera onto a computer or iPad or tablet etc. I have downloaded a free version of Sony Vegas Pro, that works but takes a long time. How do you bloggers do it? I have set my video file format to MP4 so can easy send to phone facebook etc. Once again great video
Thanks for the comments and excellent question! I agree it is harder than it should be to get the video off the camera. I use FinalCut Pro X and when I hook the camera up, I just hit the import button and it then copies to my external drive for videos. The videos will also import into Lightroom which is nice if I want to keep a certain clip for the family as an example. The only other option I know of is using the .mp4 format as you already figured out ...
Uma overlook your use of "uma" and give you a thumbs up. Very helpful. Thank you.
Thank you too!
240fps could certainly be used in a 2K mastered film. Thanks for these helpful samples.
My pleasure!
thanks, how to setup slow motion video in sony hx99 & also how to setup high resolution pic
Do it have limited recording time ? Have a Sony cam that have slomove feature but only for less than 20 seconds
Nice video, thanks for sharing. But I'm wondering if 480fps is still in 1920x1080 or lower?
It's actually 1824×616 when shooting in 480fps quality priority mode. See here for more: helpguide.sony.net/dsc/1920/v1/en/contents/TP0001138299.html?search=hfr
I have the rxq100va and I was wondering if the camera has to be still in order to record in slowmo?
Hi Jay...loved the HDR feature on my new RX10iv. Wanted to find out how to get this killer feature on a compact...voila...I found it exists on the this camera. But, just spent $1700 on the RX10. Does HDR exist on anything lower in cost than $1200?
All cameras can do HDR if shoot in manual mode and take multiple frames, or are you talking about the Auto HDR feature?
Hi Jay, Robince from India. Thanks for the video. I have got a Sony RX100 M6 and Please help me with the optimal shoot settings for vlogging, frame rate, focus and metering. Thank you.
Hello Robince and you are very welcome for the video and thanks for the comments/ question ;) For basic standing in front of the camera vlogging I would recommend using center weight metering mode if you plan on having your face in the center of the frame. This will insure your face is exposed properly regardless of the background brightness for example. Frame rate wise I would recommend 24p or 25p if that is what your camera has if shooting PAL. When in that mode your shutter speed should be double, so 1/50sec for that. Focus wise I would use the wide area focus mode and make sure facial recognition is turned on. It should be on by default. That will insure the camera prioritize your face. I would also consider setting your white balance to a fixed value for each different lighting condition, because it may wonder a bit if the lighting changes slightly and this makes it much harder in post processing when putting your various clips together if you want consistent color. I hope that helps and please let me know how you make out ;) All the best, Jay
@@Jason_Hermann Thanks a lot Jay.. Your vidoes helped me a lot to learn about my camera.. I was using a mobile phone to film till date. I ll be using my new Sony RX100 M6 from now in shooting the vidoes. Will let you know the results.. Once agian Thanks a lot for your valuable time for me.
Hi Jay,
Great Review!! Beautiful sample footage.
I'm considering to buy an RX100VA ("RX100M5A") because I need the f/1.8-2.8 for low light, which I understand it has the same image processor, so the HFR should work the same, I think..
Could you please tell HOW LONG can the camera record video at 240, 480 and 960fps? (At 24p, for instance)
Because I understood the matter of the buffer, but I don't know how long the camera records at those respective frame rates IN REAL TIME (e.g. 5 seconds from start to end of CAPTURING FOOTAGE, or how long?).
I suppose it will depend on the frame rate too, since it has lot more data to capture and buffer at 960fps than 240fps.
- Could you give us that info in detail please?
Thank you very much in advance for your time and help!
Hi Pablo, all those details you are looking for can be found in my full article on High Frame Rate Mode here: www.sonyalphalab.com/sony-rx100-vi-slow-motion-video-high-frame-rate-mode-hfr/
Hello! Pls help me to figure out 1) how to take nonstop photos when setting on self-timer? I mean: I own Sony RX100 since it came out & want to upgrade it to this new version. However, I only see this new camera allows taking only 5 images in 2 seconds. With the old camera, I can set it up on "self-portrait- one person" mode & gather my little kids & cats then let it take nonstop photos till I stop the camera & then select the photos I like. 2) old camera has a "?" button on camera which tells me the set-up features will give me what kind of shots. The RX100 VI doesn't show this even I still see that "?" on the camera. - Thank you so much for your time & help!
Hi Jay, thanks for the tutorial. You explain things quite nicely. I am trying to film in slo mo birds coming to my hand for a seed. Almost every video is out of focus. Can you tell me how to get the camera to focus on the bird? It does fine in regular movie mode (most of the time).
When recording Slow-Motion HFR Modes, the Autofocus does not work once recording. So, you need to set the focus on your hand for example and try to not move much while it's recording.
@@Jason_Hermann Thank you. I will give it a try. The little birds move so fast and here and there, so might be near impossible to film them in focus.
Jay, really enjoy these tutorial videos. I am using this camera at an indoor baseball facility to capture ball release from a pitcher's hand in 960 fps. The lighting is not that great, what are the best settings to capture video in hfr mode for low light conditions? Thank you
Yeah, I don't think you are going to want to use 960 in that lighting environment. I would go for 240fps and have the camera movie settings at 24p. The problem with this mode is how high the ISO will need to be in order to capture the frames per second required. If you have really great light, then you can use the higher frame rates and get good quality, but in low light the quality will be poor. For the best results with the RX100 VI I would have the camera set to f/2.8, 24mm and 240fps, @ 24p... That will yield you some awesome slow motion at the best quality possible. If you want even slower then try 480fps and see what kind of ISO numbers you are getting and that will reflect how good the quality of the footage looks. I hope that helps, Jay
@@Jason_Hermann What about recording at XAVC S HD 120 fps and slow motion it in post-processing? The quality seems better to me on my laptop screen...
@@NanonerMcKologico YEah, 120fps will yield you better looking footage than the 240fps in most cases due tot he higher ISO required in lower light. In good light they will look pretty close though. But again, yes the 120p will yield better looking video quality, but not as much slow motion of course...
@@Jason_Hermann Thanks for taking your time for replying. I just did other test and it is accurate to your message. Thanks!! 😉😄
Is there an actual difference in quality between the modes in terms of resolution or is it just that the shutter speed needs to be higher therefore less light and higher iso causes grain?
Yes, the resolution is lower on the higher frame rate modes, but mostly the higher ISO is what causes so much grain. You really need awesome light to keep the ISO down do to the higher shutter speeds for the higher frame rates to look good.
Quality Priority vs Shoot time priority, is there a difference in Image quality or is the difference basically in the file duration/size as it will record longer in shoot time and take up more space?
Hello, Yes you have that about right. I have noticed when using shoot time priority however, I have gotten dropped frames. This has never happened when shooting in quality priority, so this may be the downside of the extra time. It happened on 2 clips out of about 20 I would say. The clip was still usable, but it had a black frame instead of the flawless sequence when shooting quality priority. So 24fps and 1 of those frames was black which I had to edit out of the clip... The image quality otherwise looked the same as far as I could tell. Good light is really the key to getting the best quality when using this mode. The camera has to jack up the ISO to very high levels in order to shoot at such high frame rates in lower light. This results in very grainy footage I have noticed, but with awesome very bright conditions, the footage looks great in 480 for example. In lower light, 480 looks like garbage however... I hope that helps? Jay
Thanks alot for the reply Jay.I have a Sony A7RII and i just bought an RX100 V an hour ago.So far I have been really impressed by the image quality and the main reason i bought it is the HFR and the ability to shoot 1080p at 120fps (A7rii shoots 120fps at 720 only, with NO AF) .This little thing is a beast! Subbed for the awesome Content!
I wonder if using the 240fps option but then exporting it to 60fps and then halving the speed in editing software actually produces even better slo-mo. Or if it's just duplicating the same frames you would have in the lower frame rate exports. Possibly the lower ones are missing some frames that you could work with, just a thought
Exporting at 60fps will just put it in that format not yielding you any more or less frames in the end that would make a difference. The purpose of that option is so you have the ability to match your other clips for a given project without having to convert again. I almost always use 24p for my video projects, so I usually have it set to that output myself and can then always speed up if I want in post.
Thank you, but im kinda new to the camera thing. How did you do on slow motion and then back to normal speed within the same video? You did it by camera function itself or edited the speed externally in the computer?
I did that on my computer using final cut pro. There is no way to do that on the camera itself.
Jay SonyAlphaLab thank you :)
Very nice video!!! Can you please let me know how you record more seconds in HFR? I'm a bowling coach and need to shoot about 10 secs. Thanks in advance
You need to change the HFR Mode settings to time priority mode instead of quality priority, but I don't think that will go for 10 seconds. More like 5 or 6 max I think off the top of my head.
@@Jason_Hermann Thanks a lot, I will try it!
Great Video Jay!! I tried HFR 240fps Quality Priority Start Trigger at 30p 50M. I did this under a couple different conditions, one under incandescent lighting with the other under fluorescent lighting. I realize both situations are not the best but, it's currently raining outside. Both situations gave me consistent flickering results. I'm assuming it's all about the lighting I used. Would this be correct? Ray
Thanks and yes you're correct. The lights flicker at a specific frequency's and this will show up if the frame rate coincides. Clearly it did/ does ;)
Thanks Jay, The rain let up in which I had a quick chance to give it another try outside. Worked great under natural light. Thank you for the great video! I'm definitely going to use this mode, especially on nice sunny days.... LOL. Ray 👍😊
Raymond Sherman Anytime, and remember, the brighter the conditions the better for HFR! The ISO tends to get jacked up by the camera for the high frame rate modes due to the shutter speed requirements, so if it's dim the ISO will be really high and the footage more grainy. Super bright out and the slow-mo looks awesome even with 480fps....
Can't wait to to dive into it! 😊👍
What do you think about previous version like rx100 mark IV? Is it good for slow motion?
Yeah, it's pretty darn good and has the High Frame Rate mode which is the same. The sensor itself is not quite as good though in lower light. Still very good though overall.
Hi Jay. I'm looking for a camera, not expensive, to use to record slow motion in a booth. For example, instead of having a Photo Booth it would be a Video Booth, but I need a camera that can also playback the slow-motion footage directly from the camera. So as soon as I recorded the scene, people can look at it without going to post-production or editing. Can this camera do that? Which other cameras can do that? Thanks!
Yes, it can but would be way to slow for what you are trying to do in my opinion. I'm honestly not sure what would be best for that unique application, sorry.
When you poured the Guinness (my fav) I noticed that it seemed to record for much longer - or is that my imagination. My question to you is... how many seconds can you actually film with this camera? When you used the 'End Record Button' you seemed to just tap it once and it recorded several seconds prior to pressing it. So how did you get the Guinness (yum) pour to go for much longer?> Thanks for the tutorial. Well done.
Thanks for the comments!! You can change the way you record from quality priority to time priority and get up to 7 seconds recording as apposed tot he default of 4 seconds.
Thanks for the comments!! You can change the way you record from quality priority to time priority and get up to 7 seconds recording as apposed tot he default of 4 seconds.
Hi, thanks for the great introduction! May I ask a question? I recently have an rx1007, I tried super slow motion. My setting was 24p 50m, 240fps. Why most of the videos I got lasted only 1 second, while one or two reached 4 or 7 seconds (before editing). This is so confusing to me. How can I control the duration of a super slow motion on this machine? It's really disappointing as I can shoot slow motion on my iPhone with whatever duration I want. On sony, I had to turn to a HFR mode, then hit center button, then hit movie. For lots of situations, the scene has gone by then.....
Only 1 second does sound right. See here for the specs on HFR Mode and the difference in time between quality priority and shoot time priority at various frame rates: helpguide.sony.net/dsc/1920/v1/en/contents/TP0001138299.html

Hi I have mark 4 when I record HFR at night (Flurocent/Led light) get Flickering, can not shoot HFR at night any condition due to flicker, Is there any settings ??? I am from India 25p50M, Thanks
Hi, question! Not sure if I didn't understand something in the video but my question is, how can I make the slow motion footage last longer? It only lasted about 10ish seconds or so
That is all it's capable of doing in HFR Mode. You can get a few more seconds by changing it to time priority mode as opposed to quality priority mode though. It doesn't just record indefinitely like regular video though in HFR mode. Just small little bursts, so you must set-up your shot can time it carefully.
Question : if you choose 60 p and 240 fps, can you turn it into "480fps - 30p" in your editing software ??? With good quality i mean...
That is a great question, and technically yes. I don't know if the quality will be better though, because I have not tested it and the bit rate is still 60M for both 30P and 60P. So, 60p is going to have less quality than 30p because of that don't forget. Great idea worth trying though for sure ;)
Did you speed it up the videos in post production?
Yes, I played around with some of the footage in Final Cut X to show you what can be done. The footage straight off the camera is slow-motion, so speeding it up is really easy in post...
How did I do so far without you?!?!??!
Jay, I have been trying to get this camera hooked up to a monitor or TV to watch playbacks after recording HFR videos. Every time I hook it up to a monitor it doesn't pick up a signal. Do you have any work around that or advice? Enjoy the videos. Thanks
Yes, you might need to change the HDMI Output settings. Try changing your output to 60p and let me know if that fixes your problem ;) MENU → (Setup) → [HDMI Settings] → [24p/60p Output] → desired setting.
@@Jason_Hermann I tried changing that setting and it still wasn't picking up a signal. I tried 2 different monitors and a TV and none of them picked up the signal.
on my rx100 the orange loading bar only goes a quarter of the way before it goes back into standby so i dont get the full shot. why?
Hi, is there a chance to record at 120fps using rx100 vi? I am interested to record a longer video at 120fps. Thank you.
is no limit for 120 fps
Thank you. I found that you should have NTSC as current. By using PAL, you are not able to record at 120fps. NTSC can be found in yellow tab (Setup1). Happy slow motion movies!
Does autofocus still work while using HFR mode? Thanks!
No, it should stay locked where you had it at the start. You can also use manual focus if you are having a hard time keeping the focus where you want it.
Hey man, I have the M4 and I am shooting at 1000 fps at 2000 shutter but my video looks choppy. Got any ideas how to fix it ?
Does it look choppy when playing back on the camera?
How long does this situation last
With what video quality we can record 960FPS?.
How we can change slow motion to real speed and then again slow motion every thing one ☝️ shooting
I found this while searching for the HFR recording time limit for the ZV1. Enjoyed the video and found in the comments the time length for the RX100 VI - 4 to 7 seconds. Does anyone know if this is the same for the ZV1, or shorter or longer?
It appears based on the help guide to not be as long recording in HFR mode... helpguide.sony.net/dc/1910/v1/en/contents/TP0002867845.html?search=hfr I have not gotten my hands on the camera yet myself though to actual test.
Jay SonyAlphaLab Thank you. Very informative page. Seems to be extremely short 1 to 3 seconds. Good to know, and a pity no reviews touting the ZV1 HFR slo-mo don’t mention this important info.
Can you tell me how to shoot a movie in slow motion (RX100vii, 120fps) as when I try to shoot it, and play it back, it does not slow down? Thanks
Hi Charles. Basically you set the camera to 120p and then you need to process that footage using a video editing program. For example I use Final Cut to edit my videos. When I create a video project I set the parameters of the video I am creating. One of those parameters is resolution and another parameter is frame rate. I always create my videos with a frame rate of 24 frames per second. Therefore, if I record a clip with the camera set to 120 frames per second, I can then retime that clip from 120fps to 24fps which will intern slow it down 5x speed and create the slow motion effect you are after. In short, this needs to be done in post processing and the camera does not create the slow motion video for you when using this mode. The reason being is so you can speed up and slow down the clip as desired to create very interesting videos. I hope that helps, Jay
Thank you very much I'm sure I will enjoy this camera as I have read so much about it.
I have one other question for the expert though. Can you tell me what the Custom key operation is for? I wanted to set up my favorite operation and I believe that this is where I can do it but it won't save it? I wanted to set up continuous burst of, say 10fps, as I am shooting my grand-kids hockey game (when he gets a good shot) but I can't figure out how to save or set up this one function without always having to change the settings on the camera. Thanks for the great help, I tune into your "UA-cam" channel regularly but have only subscribed to it recently.
Give good settings for long length slow motion video
long length slow-mo can only be achieved using 1080/120P. High frame rate only works for a few seconds....
is 240fps in 1080p or lower resolution?
It's 1080p ;)
Is it possible to record for a minute using the super slow motion feature of this camera? Do we need to buy a special memory card to record using super slow motion?
No it's not possible. It only does short clips when using the High Frame Rate Mode. Here are some recommended Memory Cards: bhpho.to/2MxSu0g
@@Jason_Hermann Thanks for your quick reply Jay! Please, would you know if I use a 256 GB memory card I will be able to record for at least 20 seconds?
What was the maximum time you were able to record using that mode until now?
@@iloanx www.sonyalphalab.com/sony-rx100-vi-slow-motion-video-high-frame-rate-mode-hfr/ Check out this article where I show you all the record times with various HFR Modes, but at the end of the day 7 seconds appears to be the max time. The memory card size has nothing to do with the HFR record time, it's just a limitation of the camera itself. Although the larger the card the more video footage can be stored ofcourse, but it's not something that will affect the HFR Mode in particular. Does that make sense?
@@Jason_Hermann Actually, it makes a lot of sense since the camera have to process the video using it's own internal memory after recorded. There is where the limitation lays.
Thank you a lot for your help Jay! You are the best!!!
Which memory card good for long length slow motion video Sony zv1 camera
I would go with this one: amzn.to/3dkC588 and perhaps get a few of them ;)
Sandisk
Extreame , 150 mb/s v 30. 120 go. Is good for long length slow motion video?
@@vavavava1984 Yes, that is why I recommended that card.
Jay SonyAlphaLab thank you bro
In my HFR setting my camera has frame rate showing 500 fps instead of 480 fps and 1000 fps instead of 960 fps. Why is like that???
Change your setting PAL/NTSC
So i the sony rx 100 vi i can't film in 240 fps more than 4 second??
Not exactly. In quality priority mode it's 4 seconds, but in shoot time priorety you can get 7 seconds. [Priority Setting] and shooting duration
Can we extend the recording time in any way
Lack of (1) 4K 60fps, (2) Timelapse, (3) Bokeh, (4) GPS Location, (5) Type C charge, (6) Audio Jack.
Still don’t get it..... why sony can not make it easy to operate in HFR mode as smart as today’s smartphones.......
I agree, it's harder than it needs to be, but we must work with what we have ;)
Homie the quality is terrible. I have this camera and the slo mo quality kills me
When using this feature you must have very good lighting! The brighter the better. Under low light conditions the quality will look terrible, because the shutter speed required for the high frames per second are very high. What kind of lighting are you dealing with?
Lack of time-lapse.
Lack of bokeh. Sony should implement advance portrait mode for the camera.
