Love your videos, you make me want to move to UT lol I was a chef for 7 years, highly recommend cooking less fillets in the pan at one time. It drops the temp a lot so you dont get as crispy of a fish.
In Oklahoma we catch those and usually throw them back, but I learned a trick from a guy from Galveston. He took the fillets and first rubbed them down with French’s yellow mustard, then battered and fried. I keep a lot more now.
I caught 4 sun fish and 3 small large mouth. I used a 6 inch leader. With a size 6 baitholder and a small split shot weight a 1/4 inch above where main line was tied to 6 inch leader with a baitholder hook. The bigger sunfish swallowed the baitholder laced with a Canadian night crawler. Was the same rig I saw you TroutNBass have used to catch fish
Loved the video and your shirt SB. "GO COUGS". Next time you come back to my neck of the woods give me a call. I would love to throw a line or two with you. These white bass are so explosive and fun.
The spicy version is the best out of all the Louisiana style ,HERES a lil hint if dont habe peanut oil the best way to take the fishy taste outta your fish is simply out about five peanuts in your oil while cooking the fish. It’s an amazing secret and works great. If the Louisiana spicy is to hot then use a lil lemon at the end it helps with the bite of that spice .Great vid as always brother r
As usual, Another great video! I know you didn't make them on this vid, But your vids always make me want a fish taco lol! Nice work on the new truck too, Well deserved!
The peanut oil takes the fishy flavor away bro. That’s why they use it in which is why try a couple simple peanuts in your oil works great for the fishiness
Yeah, the fish you were catching may well have been skinny because they had already spawned. I know almost nothing about the bass family, but I'm guessing that unlike salmon they don't spawn once and then die. So once they've spawned they'll feed through summer and autumn in the hopes they'll pile enough fat reserves on to get them through winter and have enough for spawning in spring... and if they live in waters that don't freeze, they may feed through winter, too.
Nice work Brother! I went and caught me my share of white bass last week too! Those little guys are fighters! By the way, there is no limit with white bass! Nice video!

Peanut oil is one of the worst to fry in man. Gotta do the avacado oil. Not here to tell you what to do really, just looking out for your health!
