    Looks like a seagull convention. Lol. We have lots of them caracara around here. They really work on the field mice and rats in the hay fields as well as other small game. Thanks for the adventure, God bless sir.

    What a log jam! Think it will ever be cleared or left in place? Another great video William and thanks for the adventure :>)

      The county commissioner is a member of the Friends group for the park and is planning on removing the log jam at some point in the future. To make matters worse there is a ton of dead trees all throughout the watershed that will move into the creek when it floods again.

      @@FishTales-Reel-Life-Adventure Man these past biblical type floods recently have really taken their toll on the trees :>( Looks like all you could do is count on funding for future cleanups when the time arrives. One of the prices we sometimes have to pay when messing with mother nature.

      Another thought is to just burn log jam in place? Doesn't charcoal act as a filter to cleanse water and once spread out it would help the environment...just a thought.

      @@randallalan4221 I've mentioned that in the past but to burn the log jam would require more legal wrangling then to just remove it with a crane and truck it away.

    How deep is the water from when you launch your yak to the old rotted tree to get to creeks?

    • @FishTales-Reel-Life-Adventure
      @FishTales-Reel-Life-Adventure  5 років тому

      Its about 2 to 4 foot deep all the way to the last hundred yards before the dead tree where it gets real shallow. Most kayaks and canoes can get through 6 inches with ease like I did and just drag the last 20 yards or so.

    Have you seen the 10 ft gator there? He is there !!!!!!! every one should be aware and always keep an eye out for it

      I spent ten years looking for that gator before seeing it just once.. Gator encounters are very uncommon at lake Somerville.
