I miss Fishing so much Thank you LFG for dropping content as well as the other Googins keeping me positive and I can’t wait for this Quarantine to be over so I can go out and fish
I’ve been in the mood for some white bass or wipers. Is it weird I like the sound his spinning reel makes as he reels in a fish? Lol Probably the sound the braid makes. Man I love fishing.
I fry panfish for my family. The kids and grandkids love them. In fact my 9 year old grand daughter tells me "Grandpa, your fish are the best in the entire universe". Can't beat that endorsement😊😊😊😊. Stay safe and healthy! God Bless.
Love your videos, just joined your channel and can’t get enough. Just started getting into fishing again now that I retired from military. Keep the videos coming
Waahbam on the paper towel take the moister off waahbam put em in the bowl 🤣🤣🤣🤣I love this guy he’s so genuine and hilarious and the chickens who’s doesn’t love chickens
When I was a kid I had chickens. One hen was like a dog she'd follow me every where i went. Jump up onto my shoulder n chill lol we lived on a highway and I swear she would look both ways n then beline cross the road soon as she saw me...aint gonna lie i loved that damn bird lol
Smart man...I do the same thing and smart with the small ones first for the exact same reason lol I'm not very good so I could use all the practice I can get before going after the big chunk
Great video! White bass, stripers, and hybrids are my primary targets here in Texas. I don’t mind the red meat too much myself, but I usually trim it off and that ends up being a treat for my dog as it has a stronger taste.
Just a little tip on what I do with my fish carcasses. I put them in a plastic ziplock bag and freeze it. Then on garbage day I pull the bags out of my upright deep freezer and put them in the garbage for pickup.
definitely tastes as good as redfin perch . Best perch fishing time here in Estonia is autumn when huge schools of redfins gather on the shallow bays .
A little advice on the redness for the fish especially the hybrids, I learned this in Kansas, if you pop one of those gills and let them bleed out it won't stain the meat
Those drums (and Gar too) were my grandpas favorite fish to make fish chowder. They are firmer so they stand up to the cookin. I’m sure OSG could put a recipe together
Hey justin, what rod and reel make a nice striper/wiper/whitebass rig? I have to do some longer casting from shore, just curious what your selection would be! Love the channel, keep up the catch clean cooks! Between yall Googan squad i stay entertained! Thanks in advance!
When you do eat a drum you gotta grill it on the half shell! Just filet it, wash it off and slap it on the grill with your favorite seasoning. A minute on the meat side and then flip it scale side down to finish it.
White bass, #1 WB Poucher in Missouri lives north of Joplin, MO. His Fav, 3/4 red&white pear float, jig 1/8 oz, chartreuse CHA/flake twisty tail. Caught more White Bass than 90% of the fisherman have seen. Quit several years ago and now is a guard at the Downtown Casino, west of Joplin.
I live in central Oklahoma and lately we have been SLAYING the hybrids. What I do is filet them like you do, but i completely cut out all red meat before cooking. Tastes 20 times better without red meat. I typically just cook it by coating it in flour and fry it till its golden and CRISPY!
Another good video man- u made me so hungry- can’t beat fried fish with those sides. Little Emmy is soooooo cute and she is getting so big- what a lovely family 🙏🏼✌🏻🇺🇸
I remember my buddies and I go throw a net at the docks, catch a bucket of shad and go hit the hybrids when they were running with the white bass. In about 15 minutes we’d tag out! Next day have a fish fry, awesome times. We’d keep the around 15 inchers, they weren’t real gamey. Some of my favorite fish, but I haven’t had any crappie or walleye. Herd wallies were the best.
we call those freshwater drums "Gaspergoo" or just "goo". They are excellent eating, NOTHING at all like a salt water drum. You should definitely try it one day.
Soak the fish in milk for a few hours first, that takes the enzymes fish smell fully away. It also tenderizes the fish more. Also cut that bloodline out fully. Nice vids as always. Love Lake Fork Guy. Boom fish on.
Hey wanted to say thank you for providing these great episodes. I love the “catch and cook episodes.” Would love more! But I really appreciate it, as I had contracted a bad case of Coronavirus and your video’s kept my mood up in the hospital and I’m looking to head out, when I’m better, and catch some golden crispies. Much love, to you and your family from Colorado.
Several other have already stated this but if you cut the bloodline out on stripers and hybrids it takes a lot of the game taste out of them. Another trick that works well with them and catfish is soak them in buttermilk for about an hour before you fry them.
Love this video man!!! Makes me wish I was down south to try and chase some white bass. I grew up in Oklahoma and I remember everyone talking about the white bass fishing at lake Eufala.
Thank you for the great video . I know once and a while you come to Canada . so if ever you make it to NB .. nice bass in Perthandover RIver .. .and in not 41" stripe bass by the Bouctouch Shore .. ..whoot can you sniff that ... Thank for letting my family be part of your Virtual family on all your channels .. Respect From Saint Leonard New Brunswick
Just wanted to say thanks for the tip using Redhot sauce before breading! Just fried some white bass I caught at Possum Kingdom last year I had sitting in the freezer and it added so much flavor!
At the end you rated it walleye 10 and them like a 7ish but what about crappie, bluegill and yellow perch my favorite since I’m from the tundra of Chicago
We cut the bloodline out of the hybrids and stripers. There is enough meat that you don’t lose a lot. Makes a big difference.
ALWAYS Cut out the red meat!
I take take all the red meat off as well, believing that is where some unpleasant tastes come from. We call it the mud line. It tastes like mud.
@@fishnshack1988 Exactly!
We also cut off red meat from white bass and wiper
Ohhh ya it’s a must
Catch n cook Drums next you won't be disappointed. I prefer them over white bass any day.
LFG favorite googan member by far. great family.
My wife helps spawn and stock the hybrids. It's an interesting process to watch.
it's a miracle!!! the 3rd chicky came back to life!
I miss Fishing so much Thank you LFG for dropping content as well as the other Googins keeping me positive and I can’t wait for this Quarantine to be over so I can go out and fish

Love a good white bass, striped bass, and hybrid video. 👍🏼
Great One Bite score! Definitely not an amateur.
I’ve been in the mood for some white bass or wipers. Is it weird I like the sound his spinning reel makes as he reels in a fish? Lol Probably the sound the braid makes. Man I love fishing.
Catch rockfish (striped bass) in the Chesapeake Bay on jigs with my bass rod in the winter. Talk about an awesome fight.
Love your excitement for white bass !
Nice wiper! And ya, fish roe + chickens = VERY happy chickens!
The video I was waiting for!! Awesome thank you LFG and OSG!!

Beautifully done. Ten thumbs up!
Probably my fav type of video from Lfg
I fry panfish for my family. The kids and grandkids love them. In fact my 9 year old grand daughter tells me "Grandpa, your fish are the best in the entire universe". Can't beat that endorsement😊😊😊😊. Stay safe and healthy! God Bless.

Outdoor Greatness with the best! Thanks LFG!
Smart man...I do the same thing and smart with the small ones first for the exact same reason lol I'm not very good so I could use all the practice I can get before going after the big chunk
If you get another hybrid grill a filet over oak firewood. Season with whatever just let it get some smoke on it. Freaking delicious!
My PB hybrid is 8-07 on a solid white crank bait on Herrington lake in KY
Ever tried soaking the filets in buttermilk and old bay? It really works well to get rid of the gaminess and adds a lot of flavor!
Great vid!!! Got my mouth watering..and I don’t usually eat fish!!! Good job LFG!!
love your video's man, keep up the great work, quality stuff
Great video! White bass, stripers, and hybrids are my primary targets here in Texas. I don’t mind the red meat too much myself, but I usually trim it off and that ends up being a treat for my dog as it has a stronger taste.
Looks Delicious! That was a Fat Bass!!!
Those look like they would make great fish tacos, throw some coleslaw on the side or on top. Be delicious I bet
Watched about 15 videos back to back and loved them all gained a new subscriber bud looking forward to more!! 👌🏼
I will have to try that recipe next time looks good great video
Just a little tip on what I do with my fish carcasses. I put them in a plastic ziplock bag and freeze it. Then on garbage day I pull the bags out of my upright deep freezer and put them in the garbage for pickup.
definitely tastes as good as redfin perch . Best perch fishing time here in Estonia is autumn when huge schools of redfins gather on the shallow bays .
wipers or hybrids are really good, much like white bass as far as taste....and they fight like hell when you catch em
A little advice on the redness for the fish especially the hybrids, I learned this in Kansas, if you pop one of those gills and let them bleed out it won't stain the meat

Nothing fights like a Wiper. 🎣 We have the Palmetto variety here in Kansas.
Mucho bueno primo .
You need a cold MODELO ESPECIAL
Hey justin, what rod and reel make a nice striper/wiper/whitebass rig? I have to do some longer casting from shore, just curious what your selection would be! Love the channel, keep up the catch clean cooks! Between yall Googan squad i stay entertained! Thanks in advance!
Great job Justin!! Love your channel!!
We have the Hybirds (Wipers) here in Utah. Try landing one around 5 lbs in a float tube. It is a fun ride.
When you do eat a drum you gotta grill it on the half shell! Just filet it, wash it off and slap it on the grill with your favorite seasoning. A minute on the meat side and then flip it scale side down to finish it.
Smells like fish a little bit (kills water hose) I LIKE IT !! 😂🎣
We always cut all the red meat out of are hybrids and it’s makes it just like white bass
Justin-Man!! That was a healthy hybrid! Nice stringer Bro!!! Gonna be some damn good eating!!!
Thanks for some more awesome content! Definitely need to see stuff like this in these days, I can't wait to go fishing here!
You should try 99 bridge in Tilden Texas next year when the white bass run
These are awesome. Obsessed with the catch and cooks

Love the catch and cooks! Need them more often.
Great vid man! You ain’t lying about hybrids putting up a huge fight. I have landed quite a few and they put a smile on my face every time I hook one.
Hybrids in NY are called Wipers.. They sure do fight! Great video as always!
The Drum we catch in the bay are good eating. Wonder if freshwater Drum are the same
Awesome video LFG!!
Love the videos always looking forward to the next one and Now I want chickens too, thanks LFG I'm itching to go fishing for striped bass can't wait.
Hybrids are always fun to catch!
Lakeforkguy I recommend just filling your coolers/live well with ice and bleed em out helps with the taste as well!!! I do it with all my fish.
shadyroids do you just cut their gills, and how long do you let them bleed or sit on the ice?
The striped bass in my local lake get huge. Lake Cumberland KY striped bass record is 58lb. The hybrids get huge also.
Another good video man- u made me so hungry- can’t beat fried fish with those sides. Little Emmy is soooooo cute and she is getting so big- what a lovely family 🙏🏼✌🏻🇺🇸

Off the wall question for ya.......what kind of wrist watch are you wearing ? I’m kind of a watch freak and I like the look of yours.
Nice 1s! definitely cut the red out makes a big difference

Love this video man!!! Makes me wish I was down south to try and chase some white bass. I grew up in Oklahoma and I remember everyone talking about the white bass fishing at lake Eufala.

Just wanted to say thanks for the tip using Redhot sauce before breading! Just fried some white bass I caught at Possum Kingdom last year I had sitting in the freezer and it added so much flavor!
You ever try and find like a good horseradish or like a good white dipping sauce to go perfectly with those golden crispies
At the end you rated it walleye 10 and them like a 7ish but what about crappie, bluegill and yellow perch my favorite since I’m from the tundra of Chicago
Love all your vids man and I’ve learned a lot from you thanks you
I’ve been dying to get out on the waters! Need to renew my license and restock up on my fishing gear too!
