Thanks so much!!! These videos are amazing!!! So glad I ended up with the truck I have with this transmission. Hope you continue making these videos for other vehicles so others can repair their own too.
Great Videos! I have a question, problem with my tranny is it's difficult to engage drive or 1st when hot.. (not so much when cold) Is there something i can replace on the bottom half where the ball bearing go that somehow affect oil pressure to the internal part of the tanny? Or do you recommend just tearing it all apart wich someday i will eventually have to do?
I know that this is not related, but do you have a video on a 4T45E? I have one in a 2009 Chevy HHR that has a lot of miles on it, and I'm noticing some problems with it,
So I took apart my 1993 e4od, strange thing is I didnt have a wavy cushion plate on my low reverse clutch pack? Can I rebuild without it? Or should I find one to put in once I start putting it back together?
@Trey Chastain I haven't got back to the trans yet. I'm finishing my 460 first then back to that one. What I plan on doing is putting it back the way it cam off. It worked for years that way the 9 years I owned it.
@@oponce0592 so from the research I did, the early e4od didnt have the wavy plate. So if yours didn't have it and it's a e4od it probably doesn't need it.
@@gman21583 well he did say in the video all models have it. Plus someone did transmission work in The past which led me to believe they forgot to re install it
@@oponce0592 I'm sure he must have misspoke, many people with the e4od have said the same thing of not having the plate. I couldn't find the wavy cushion to buy but could for the 4r100. And a local shop is the one that confirmed my suspicious and said that they dont have it. You could call a local shop to see.
I pulled the trany out because I was snow plowing and it started to blow trany oil out the front seal I thought maybe when we put the engine back in we bump the seal the ring must of blew out when I was plowing
Unbelievable
I this is a unbelievable learning video all 16 videos are 10 / 10 it’s better than anything else on u tube 👍👍

Side note: the direct drum will not have the #8 thrush washer if the drum doesn’t have the 4 notches. In 2000, they changed design.
JIMMY!! You really should pin a note about this fact on this video!! and perhaps put in a note in the flash drive package!
There's nothing more satisfying than when you get all the guts loaded in and there's no thrust bearings left over.
My out put shaft didn’t drop out after removing snap ring. Any suggestions why this is? Thanks
The 16 that down voted this need to stick to tuning up lawnmower engines : )
How do you take the parking paw off the tail to replace the rear seal?
Mr. Williams is a Jedi Zen master! Watch and learn...
this is my second transmission rebuild. if it as good as the first i gotta get some business cards printed up.
