- In today's tutorial, we will teach you what to do if you forgot steam password.
Launch Steam App. Click on ‘I can’t sign in’. Select ‘I forgot my Steam Account name or password’ from the list.
Enter your username and click ‘search’. Select ‘Email an account verification code’. Open your email and find a letter from Steam. Copy and paste the verification code. Click ‘Continue’.
Select ‘Change my password’ from the list. Enter and re-enter the new password. Click on ‘Change password’.

Does not work and you have to jump through so many hoops and over hurdles to "prove" you are who you are it is ridiculous. In the end I gave up. Never forget when you buy steam titles they can lock you out in a heartbeat.

Change steam passowrd, has to be the most useless shit ever made, why cant they just be like Battlenet ? A app where you actuatlly log in with the autenticator... When i try to set a new password it says all the time "use another password" then it allways end up with "your have try to reset to many times"... This is by far the most useless shit ever. Easy solution, you need to use your autenticator with every log in. Type your username, confirm log in with autenticator.

Sorry, but this is misleading. This is how to change your password not how to recover your password. At no time is the password recovered. It is changed. There is not even an option to recover it.
