I'm still working on the "dad can I have your credit card information because my steam account got hacked and I need to show proof?" part xD

For me it took 3 hours, i believe the more evidence to show that your the ownership of the account the faster it gets replied because its easier to resolve. i got hacked just now from some random bot because my email and pass and phone num was changed. i told the support ticket how i do not know any of those details and told the support my card details.

Another tip: If your account is indeed unsafe and compromised it will get locked so no one can log in until you do the password reset and prove that this is your account.
I never even clicked a link or gave out a password. And I never downloaded anything, so I'm really confused as to how my account was compromised. I really hope that steam support get's back quickly. I just got hacked today by a bot, where a trusted friend of mine sent me a link to an official-looking trade website, where it then asked me to sign in. I then signed in and instantly got the notification on my steam desktop app that the credentials were changed. If you have like Disks like for example Call Of Duty on your account that is bought from store take a pic of the code and send it to them they can check the code in the database and confirm it was activated by you on your steam account

Yeah ... the Steam-Support takes ages to reply ... no matter what problem you have ... Normally 1-3 days and the worst part is ... mostly it isn't worth the wait because often you can cleary see, that they not even read your message or just skimming your text and reply with some standard message. So you have to reply with kinda the same text or with "pls read my message" and wait again.

I just got hacked today by a bot, where a trusted friend of mine sent me a link to an official-looking trade website, where it then asked me to sign in. I then signed in and instantly got the notification on my steam desktop app that the credentials were changed. I am now in a steam support chat, with the last message from support being sent over 6 hours ago. very worried because i have over £300 worth of steam games, which could all get deleted, and the fact that i have over £30 in my steam wallet.
I actually got my account stolen a different way one of my steam I friends supposedly accidentally reported me for fraud and told me to go to a steam administration he lock my account and said I need to pay $50 to get it back but it did took me a week to find out he would just be a scammer can they still get my account back or is it too late

If you have like Disks like for example Call Of Duty on your account that is bought from store take a pic of the code and send it to them they can check the code in the database and confirm it was activated by you on your steam account

Got a new laptop after being without a working computer for like 5 years, trying to get back to steam but dont remember my password.... send them a support mail but I guess it could take them months before they reply me... would be crappy to lose all those games which i invested a lot of money in back then.
Yeah ... the Steam-Support takes ages to reply ... no matter what problem you have ... Normally 1-3 days and the worst part is ... mostly it isn't worth the wait because often you can cleary see, that they not even read your message or just skimming your text and reply with some standard message. So you have to reply with kinda the same text or with "pls read my message" and wait again.
