Joke's on you! I actually play the game with weapons that I've not yet mastered and try to learn how to "get gud" organically! 😂 (Sarcasm aside, I'm happy to grind out "weapon mastery" so long as I can figure out the ins-and-outs of my gear.) >_
I am so happy that you can essentially make your own God rolls on weapons now instead of searching shop or rolling for good stats and then getting low end blessings and perks on transcendant
@@shotgunammo yeah, all you need is to pick a dump stat and make sure the max on that is 60% something useless like stagger (impact). Previously you needed to roll to try to get to 80% on all but your dump stats, and then upgrade to transcendent and hope you get at least 1 good perk and 1 good blessing so you can use your two rerolls to make the weapon as close to perfect as possible. But now you just roll for a 60% max on dumpstat and just upgrade the weapons till they reach 80% on all the others, quad 80s are fully on the menu and no longer a dream, and now that modifications are infinite you can perfect your weapons truly to your liking. Still a little bit of gambling but previously quad 80s with good perks and blessings were a myth, now they are the norm.
Anyone can now make the perfect build for their favorite weapons they wanted to make after this update, which is a big plus. Basically got rid most of the rng of this game from the new update.
Great, thx. Because they were saying it needs to be at least blue. While i have tond of weapons i didn't consecrate further. I wasn't amused anyway when my almost complete sticker book didn't translate to full mastery. Now with the dreaded locks out of the way, one can only wonder why they couldn't just keep the old UI and remove the locks. Broken builds, broken menus, klicking like 1000 times to distribute blessings, new names, alphabetical sorting broken, wtf was that needed?
i like to use zealot with a spiritual chorus build, and the backstab regenning ability cooldown perk, get some carapace dmg and CC on him, and use ordo docket curios on him, with this you can get extra dockets but also the build helps ensure that your team makes it through the mission by increasing survivability and making things easier so you increase success efficiency and assure more reward bonuses
You get a lot of exp just from playing with the weapon too. I was getting about two levels per weapon per mission last night while doing damnation. Couldn't tell the difference between normal, auric, and maelstrom
If you got surplus Ordo but not plat, get the mod for the nexus that lets you sacrifice items from the shop screen and just hit up the greens and or blues there. It takes longer but some weapons you probably aren't in a hurry to max. Its a good way to slowly work up some off weapons or ones you aren't directly focusing on as you grind plat or other things.
Good info video. It's a great system overall - easy to customize with minimal barriers, gives penance points when you do it, and feels like progressing again
If you have credits and materials to waste you can do it even faster. You can just buy a bunch of the same gun level it up a little to like, blue or green. Then do what the video says.
So my question is, is it faster to master a weapon naturally or to beat some auric and auric damnnation and then just put the money towards upgrading a weapon while just using a meta build instead
All blessings you previously have should be unlocked when applying them to weapons. They don't show up in the mastery screen but they do when applying blessings I'm pretty sure.
Quick question, what’s the difference between blessings and masteries? Can a blessing be the same as a mastery? If so, does it just act as another stack of the mastery? New player here and VERY confused lol
The mastery system shoukd be called the misery system. I was halfway through leveling Ogryns melee weapons when i realised "what the hell am i doing, i dont play ogryn and i dont like these weapons. I am literally grinding for nothing." I am addicted to penance points. Send help
Hard disagree with the consecration then sacrifice method. That's a good way to burn through all your resources and now you have nothing to empower weapons with. The mastery exp goes up pretty quick if you just used the weapon in missions. Use the weapon and sacrifice the emperor's gifts
This is the FASTEST method and not material efficient method. If you simply have the mats to do so it with leftovers then good. If not then go to the missions. Simple as.
I'm just starting out. The whole game is confusing atm. I had 3 mastery points and just randomly selected some. Then panicked as I couldn't undo it. Does it matter? Can I unlock all of the mastery when I get to 20 anyway?
@@MrUnc Thanks for the reply. I just started off and put points into blessings I wish I had back to reinvest elsewhere is all. Like resetting talents by right clicking and removing them. Not sure if it’s possible, though.
So they finally made the game fun ? In Vermintide 2 the game only got fun to me once I had some fun weapons etc. Really hated that the game had so many different weapon traits which were looked behind rng Really hate it, if games do it that way to give you a goal to "grind" or extend play time.
Why did this update take away all the blessings I already had? Lost every single tier 4 blessings and now I gotta regrind 75% of them. Feels like my 1,100 hours have been flushed down the toilet
Because they were all converted into mastery. Also, the weapons that you've already had before the update haven't been stripped of the blessings they already had on them.
@@MrUnc I didn’t say all my weapons were deleted. I said I lost the blessings. Most of the weapons aren’t high enough lvl for me to unlock the tier 4 blessings I already had. That doesn’t feel very good.
@@yondeefeedz true but it's so easy to get to the tier 4 blessings again i had enough weapons to get me maxed out in like 5 mins and playing missions is an ez level or 2

Short and to the point, earned a like and a comment for not stretching this for +10 minutes.
This^
Funnily enough, many of my favorites were already "pretty high up there," thanks to the enchantments I had accumulated over time before the update.

It's the best thing that they've done for this game ever since the talent tree reworks in patch 13.
You still have to roll the 80 on the right stats to upgrade into right? (New player here just making sure I understand)

I approve of this, thank you Mr. Unc! I hadn't even thought of it, I may lack some resources, but I can work on that!
To economize plasteel most efficiently, try to upgrade the low power weapons as they are cheaper
Now i can become… full master.

DO NOT UPGRADE WEAPONS TO PURPLE OR ORANGE IF YOU PLAN TO SACRIFICE THEM. they are worth the exact same as blue.

Did you happen to check to see if its more worth it for blue vs green investments of upgrading the sac weapons?
A few auric runs with any and you’ve got it done

Does everyone start at 0 and 100? All my weapons show matery level 0. No roll over from my previous use of them?
@tand_tube your progression from before was tied to the amount of blessings you had on that weapon family before the update.

So i can burn my old “god rolls” and build the weapon of my dreams from it ?
Yeah.
Too... Expensive
Do yourself a favor and upgrade to blue.

It's not a random crapshoot loot casino which is a big improvement
