- We LOVE a good thrift flip! Today we take a recommendation from the audience (as we do, a lot) and made over some dresses that we found at the thrift store. AH. These thrift flips are my favorite!! especially Kelsey's kimono turned out so good
Both of these give me great ideas. I get very complicated when I think of making over a garment... because of my old sewing training. I think of how I'm going to make facings, etc but, you show me how I can modernise the item and say, just create a little fold over hem. So cute. Love them both.
I love how you guys capture the creative process! you keep in just enough for it not to seem..... too easy. it makes me think, "the aren't simply "talented...." They work hard!"

The starting dress was so boho bougie (think anthropologie / free people / chloe) and was so beaut!!! Hurt my heart when it was made into something a little sweeter but I guess everyone has their own style :)

I want to see more like this!! I love your videos and I LOVE restyled clothing videos, so this definitely works. It's hard to say whose is better because they are both amazing. The kimono style top is a little more trendy and the dress is a little more practical... ah I can't decide. Both are great!

Right ! I recently started working at a TS, which I volunteered a lot. Never thought of doing flips, but definitely going to try that. She did great.

I would like to see a bridal gown hack, from one wedding gown or two or three gowns to create one updated wedding gown out of the fabric and form of one to three old gowns.

1st time viewing this. great idea on the black floral! I'd like the blue one with a v neck tank sleeve instead- the neck band makes her look like she's uncomfortable, & it brought the hemline up a little too high in the back. but what a great way to repurpose thrift finds!!! good job, ladies!
I LOVED the idea of using a long dress and how you used it. I would wear that a lot. The other dress looked so cute. Loved the way you joined front to back. Could be longer, but for young ladies, that's just fine. Comfy and cute for summer.
Very nice. I like both pieces. I will definitely be making myself a kimono because the ones in the stores are overpriced and i can just use old clothes at a cheaper price point and alter it to what i want. Plus the fabric and colors are ideal. I will be making a few kimons for myself out of old dresses instead of throwing stuff out.

WOW. I am so impressed. I wish I was this creative and skilled on a sewing machine. (I'm intimidated by my machine!) I couldn't even pick which one I loved more. Amazing!
I love to alter thrift store finds. Just made a skirt from a dress like the red print ruffled spaghetti strap ones modeled in the video. Mine was black with lilac and purple flower print. It's so much better as a skirt with a black quarter length sleeve top.

Ive started doing the same thing. I cant find anything that fits anymore. Companies buy everything thats horrible for dirt cheap and sell it to us for triple the price. So I started doing this very thing. I also found a place in China to purchase wardrobe completers like shoes and bags....because their shoes are way soft and I cant find any shoes to fit here and bags that I can actually afford. When our companies start making products I want....Ill start buying....till then...I bypass them.

That flower dress is so early 90's! Everyone seemed to love them, they were everywhere.
These were great! I feel like a lot of the other thrifted flip fashion type videos on UA-cam are complex, but these were great ideas for simple flips! Definitely doable!

No i don't live near Bonaire. Bonaire is a Island which belongs to 'The Netherlands. The language they speak there is Dutch, but it's really far away. The Netherlands belong to Europe!
