Me and my dad just did my 2007 Honda accord yesterday! We watched lots of videos in preparation, and your video was our favorite! Very helpful and it calmed our nerves. We were so worried we’d screw it up. It turned out great
I actually did mine last night and I use an orbital sander with a 40 grit sandpaper took it right off in less than 10 minutes. I had it done with no damage to the surface underneath.
Looks way better! Two questions... How many cans of Permatex did you finally end up using? Also, that cable that goes down through your dash, and up to the front dome lights, brake light, etc.... does that have to come out? Versus disconnecting each connection, and leaving the harness and cables in the truck. Maybe taping the cable to the roof itself... Is the cable actually attached to the cable channels in the top of the headliner?
my neighbor needed his fixed in a few spots so i used some of a can before hand not much to repair a few spots since he didn’t want to have to take it all the way down. I ended up having to buy three cans but i also feel i layed it on thick. an ext. cab 2 cans will be plenty. You will find its much easier to go through and release it like i did the harness is almost part of the headliner. (at least for me!)
