Gosh treating your partner is SO important and very overlooked!! Consider testing through GI Map; Antigen stool testing missed my h. Pylori infection; PCR testing caught it though. And oddly I know people who have had negative breath test and ended up positive by biopsy 🤔 Thank you for this timely info!

I had stomach problems my whole childhood and the only reason they figured it out was because I got food positioning while on a trip and ended up in a hospital and they happened to send a test to 1 of only a few labs that tested for that back then. Good background information but it would have been good to have information on HOW to treat HPylori. The sweeping statement on herbs didn’t shed much light on what a functional doctor would recommend.
Your treatment for H.pylori should be personalized to your needs. Otherwise it’s just a cook book recipe. Functional medicine is not cook book medicine. You should find and work with a functional medicine specialist who will know what’s best for you.

The one size fit all treatment for HPylori is antibiotics and acid blockers or just live with it. And the cases are increasing. Knowledge is power. Thank you again.

It's also important to stay off of any anti acid medicine for two weeks before taking a breath test. This could produce false results
Yeah I made that mistake and now I have to go back in 2 weeks to do a stool test. They said that's more accurate

I pretty much have no stomach acid and I noticed on a blood test my iga is 3.2 elevated.. Could that be other bacteria etc?
