      I’ve stop taking my statin and switched to berberine 2x daily. I’ve started doing intermittent fasting as you suggested. In 6 months I’ve lost 55 lbs down from 276. I feel like a whole new man. Turning 67 next month and I feel incredible, 5-7 miles a day walking. Thank you again for your sharing your knowledge and videos

      Internist here... don't forget that with CHF, CoQ10 must be combined with a high quality source of L-Carnitine and 2400 MG of wild Atlantic salmon oil.... this is the trifecta of CHF care resulting in amazing results for the patient, often reversing their consution. Gary Null did a presentation on this about 20 years ago and was laughed at, but now many-an-MD currently use his protocol successfully for CHF.

      Hello Dr Berg. First and foremost. I would like to say that I greatly appreciate the information that you are sharing with all of us. That being said I am curious About one thing wich I was not able to find any Information on. I always crave either lemon in my water or oranges. Everyday all day. When I drink water a feel continuously Thirsty. But the craving For Fluid is a little bit less If I add Lemon or something sour to my water?. Was not able to find anything on it? I'm not sure if anybody else has that simular issue.
      Thanks

    My biggest downfall always was exercise. I was never committed to exercising. I move around a lot. I keep myself busy. I gardening too many things but I’m not big on exercising. When I was a kid, I was very active riding my bike climb in the monkey bars, dancing all the time Playing with my hula hoop etc. Always in great shape and always had a lot of energy. But not in my old age I just keep very active but other than that I eat healthy and I have my ferment semi be vitamins in my eggs, but I’m not big on meat I don’t eat a lot of meat. I eat a lot of fish tuna, shrimp & cod, I have sardines on occasion. I don’t drink alcohol, and I don’t smoke. I was never big on drinking alcohol not ever. Not even wine sometimes with a steak dinner that’s about it and it had to be Bordeaux.

      Hey Tyrone. I had an sTBI almost three years ago now and had lost all of my sense of smell and taste as well. So long as you eat a healthy diet consistently, you'll probably be able to get some of your sense of smell and taste back. For me, it took around 1.5 years to get a tiny bit of it back. And another year later a little more of it came back. Granted, it is nowhere near as strong as it used to be, however, that isn't all a bad thing. I mean, I don't notice the horrible smell that could occur in public restrooms anymore, haha.
      My worst lasting issue is that I got sensorineural hearing loss in one ear and a broken bone in the other ear...and the doctors near me are rather unknowledgeable and so I had to travel far to get a CAT scan analyzed and then get the broken bone replaced with a 3D printed one.
      In the end, it definitely takes a lot of time and is often stressful when things are different than you remember them being in the past. But don't worry and try not to stress! Because you'll eventually get it all back! I'm hoping for more recovery by my five year post-accident mark! And you will definitely see some beneficial changes within the next year!
      Best of luck, brother!

    I have a Dominican friend who often buys beef heart meat and grills it along with his other bbq meats - it is delicious - very rich tasting. You have to marinate it in a little acid (lemon or vinegar with some olive oil - there is very little fat) and grill it hot and very fast. I'm sure you can stew it too. Many - or most - canned chili con carne has heart meat to make it taste more rich. Also, some of the best liver I've ever had is the frozen calves liver from Kroger- Skylark brand. It comes in individually wrapped thin slices which thaw and cook very very quickly. It has a nice mild flavor and is very tender. Great with onions slow cooked until golden and a little Lea and Perrins sauce, or cider vinegar and black pepper.

    I’ve been watching Dr Oz for about 10 years.. long before the whole Dr Oz incident. Which really ticked me off btw. I was suffering from chronic arthritis and was looking for alternatives to the meds they prescribed that were full of horrible side effects including seizures and blindness. I am WAY healthier now, no medications at all, not even advil. I used to pop ibuprofen like candy. I don’t do full keto but I have improved my diet a LOT and take lots of vitamins and supplements. I look and feel so much better than I did ten years ago. Thank you, Dr Berg, your advice has added quality years to my life. Thank you so much, I wish you the best always.

    Thanks for this doctor for giving me good advice!, my blood pressure has gone extremely down and I am losing weight. 125/75 my blood pressure was at 148/89. 👈😮
    I don't sleep a full 8 hours and I also don't feel tired when I get up, that is strange I get 5 hours of sleep and I am not tired for the rest of the day and it's really strange been like that for months!.
    I believe it's been over a year. My body has made a strange 360° turn around I cannot explain it. I'm doing cardio boxing, tennis, I go out for walks, walk up the hill, walk up the stairs and I don't even get tired. These are things I couldn't do before and I eat very large amounts of meal but a very low keto diet and my weight keeps going down and stabilizing.
    If I did not find this channel?, I think I would have been obese!. I would have been about 240 lb right now maybe more!. I love my doctor she's extremely smart but these are things that doctors when going into practice they are not there for eating advice they only practice medicine pharmaceutical scientific stuff. She just tells me you have to lose weight😐 and I am like is there some kind of book?. She just says you have to lose weight.🤷‍♀️😂

    Diabetics are soooooo deficient in ALL nutrient, and that's why they have " complications " which is NOTHING to do with the diabetes itself, but from being so deficient for too long, the same goes for pretty much all health issues You either are consuming too much or too little of same foods . It takes about 20 to 25 years for " diabetes kill you" If are dealing with diabetes focus on nutrients that keep your heart and kidneys healthy. Dont forget also the nutrients to keep your nervous system healthy. I Lost my mother from diabetes " complications " the first sign she had was lower legs edema ( low B1 and low potassium) then the pains ( low maguinesium low B1, low vitamin D, low COQ10)then confusion short term memory loss( low maguinesium low B12,low choline ,low B1,low omega 3, later enlarged heart, enlarge spleen, enlarged kidney, from low zinc, low Lysine, low everything else. Later heart failure, kidneys failure, difficult breathing, very fatigue, excessive abdominal edema, face edema, whole body edema, extremely weak heartbeat, then death from sepsis lactic acidosis. Despite all my knowledge from research, watching seminars, conferences, podcast, too many informations, doctors refused to listen. I suggest trying extremely high doses thiamine with very high doses vitamin C and maguinesium intravenously, information I read on Pubmed about how this protocol can reverse this condition in 4 days in most cases. It would have decreased the chances of death by 75%. The doctor refuse told me if I could provide the supplement they would administer, then he called an hour after saying she was on thiamine already a dose of 100mg 3 times a day. I told him it was not enough to make any difference....She passed 2 days later. In case anyone working in a hospital setting, please give the patient NUTRIENTS intravenously, 80% of all patients hospitalized are deficient.

    • @Joe_C.
      @Joe_C. Рік тому +2

      Just in case, maybe I can help with the research I've come up with since the debate started years ago... There is no difference physiologically. Your body will convert ubiquinone to ubiquinol as it needs to. This debate began with a 2 week study in older men saying that ubiquinol was better. Studies since have not proven that claim... Some say that because ubiquinol is the reduced form it is a better antioxidant, but again no studies have proven this claim either. The confusion continues to be proliferated by ubiquinol manufacturers because they get to charge a premium for the product. Besides that, do many of us really need more antioxidants if were already on a pretty healthy regimen, probably not. Too much antioxidants is not good for us either

    • @MeesterJ
      @MeesterJ Рік тому

      Ubiquinol is the active form of Co Q10, whereas ubiquinone is the passive form. There is your explanation.

    • @-xyz-012
      @-xyz-012 Рік тому

      @@MeesterJ It’s a deeper understanding I’m after, eg how the body each reacts with each. According to a compounding pharmacist who says if it’s activated (ubiquinol) the body eventually stops creating it itself.
      As it no longer needs to, it forgets the memory of making it itself. Which I imagine not to be a good thing. My cardiologist recommended i take it for life along with Red Yeast Rice. Gaining as much knowledge as I can about it.

    For "food as medicine" the Chinese TCM doctors has been prescribing heart for treating heart related diseases which was ignored by the western medicine for a long time.
    I guess that explains their life quality and longevity.

    • @donnaanderson2846

      That’s because “western medicine”, is about creating a continuous stream of patients, for doctors, and hospitals. If you actually heal people, they won’t keep coming back to you, and your best friends, in the pharmaceutical industry. Also, helping people to have poor health, means they won’t be able to stand up, against the status quo.
