The Adidas "strung" upper is, to me, the best upper ever created. It's oddly a touch flexible, but still holds your foot perfectly in place, doesn't warp or stretch, and is VERY durable. Unfortunately, it's VERY expensive to manufacture. You have to really, really like it to pay full price.
I'd actually wait for Y-3 to come up with a rad design using this strung upper. The retail price would 100% be even crazier but they usually go on big discounts after a couple months.
I have 3 pairs of 4dfwd, all 11.5 on a 11.5 foot, they are snug but I use them at the gym and jogging, they fit snug but I love the fit and feel, if I went to a 12 they would feel like boats.

The upper feels a bit crunchy, so it feels uncomfortable when it digs into the middle part of your foot where it narrows. Maybe it’ll get better with wear. I would return if I paid full price, but sub $120… I’ll give it a shot.
These shoes were £250, saw them for £150, so I bought them. Tested them out today and I like them, however I will be returning them and buying the previous version 3 instead. I'm fan of the bottom, but I am unsure if I'm a fan of the STRUNG technology on the top.

My favourite brands are adidas and New Balance, but I would try another brand if it‘s recommanded. Sorry for my english btw, I‘m from Germany. The “String” material actually does anything besides breathes? Or is it just marketing fluff and aesthetics? I have a hard time deciding between the Ultra and the String version, any thoughts?
I luv the shoe but my 12ye old ripped his in half the sole literally came apart from the shoe idk how he did it l. He just wore them for gym. I contacted Adidas they said they couldn't do anything about it after spending all that money. He had them about 3months before it happened, very disappointing
I think the .strung tech is better paired to LIGHTSTRIKE Pro. The adizero team needs to offer a Takumi Sen.strung sooner than later. I recall that .strung with the 3D printed sole. It looked amazing. This is okay, but it isn’t a serious enough runner for me. Leave the best tech to the adizero and TERREX teams. ✌🏽💙👟

I love the 3d printed midsoles but I also can't help but be reminded of dry instant noodles! Maybe a Demae collab
I'm with you on the snug uppers. I prefer a looser for too, as the tight shoes irritate the top of my foot, and make my feet go numb.

Simply soak them in water hot preferably in a 5gallon bucket for a day or 2 take tooth brush gently scrub and they'll be day 1 perfect

Those lace holes at the very back near your ankle are for locking your heel in!

That snug knit upper is a bad design in general. It really clamps your foot uncomfortably.

4dfwd. Even the og 4d. Boost is so soft, but gives foot fatigue after a bit. The 4dfwd gives a good compromise between the two

Had those 4d thingy before, but mine went into pool of mud and can’t ever clean the midsole again. Never use it again ever since

i buy when its first comeout.... used it for run 2-3times and always got a shin split, and never use it anymore
