Hey Brock. Your channel has been one of the most useful channels I've known. It started with dressing sense and now I just use your advice in many little details in life. Thanks a lot buddy.
I love my three meter USB charging cables. It's awesome for those hotels that have only one outlet on the other side of the room. I recommend the global entry instead of precheck: you get precheck as part of it and near-zero lines coming back to the United States. There's a chance your credit card covers the cost.
Legit one of my favorite purchases ever has got to be an extended mirror to put on top of my cars rear view mirror. Mine was relatively narrow and I couldn’t see my blind spots, but this new one just clamps right onto the front and now I have a full view of my back seats and blind spots, got it about 4 years ago for around $25 on Amazon I think
Well done! The braided belt is a perfect match. I've got 2 of them and they're great for 99.9% of my needs. The hanger ideas are correct, 100% of the time. Clothes costly, it just makes sense to protect them. Every tip makes sense. Sgi which is Cherokee for thank you, oh and yeah, I'm a Cherokee.
I discovered a similar water bottle about a year ago at Decathlon (a French sporting goods store chain) that's also isothermic! 15€. I use it every day. If I fill it with ice, it'll still be there the following day. I love it.
Would also add, a clothes brush. You don’t need one of those horsehair jobs for £50 or whatever as you can pick up a decent wooden one for about £20. Mine doubles as a shoehorn, which is handy. Also, wooden shoe trees.
You should try a reverse umbrella. The one you showed on the video leaves the wet side of the textile outside and you get wet when you touch it, the reverse umbrella leaves the water inside when folded.
Orthotics!!!! Yes!!! I work at a red wing shoes and my job everyday convincing blue collar workers to invest in themselves. Glad to see this because it’s nice to pass on external resources to my customers.
I carry the same spyderco knife and love it. I recommend pairing it with the Nitecore Tiki GTD for an EDC light. It’s about the same length as the knife and incredibly useful for an occasional use pocket light.
Flossers also got me to floss every day. That, along with an electric toothbrush, and my dentist says my teeth look great every time. 10/10 would recommend.
Getting a shoe with a wide toe box will do wonders for your health, much more than insoles. I recommend anyone experiencing foot pain/lower body pain to look into it.
@@prettyboishah2898 it depends which country you're currently residing. There are plenty of options in the states. I currently live in canada and i have purchased from vivobarefoot. I also had my aunt bring me a pair of flux footwear when she visited from the states. Been wearing them for all of summer and they work great. I got these brands from a website called "anya's reviews". I also saw a few brands on my ads and on youtube. I recommend looking up reviews to see what fits your needs. For a starter pair, crocs are good because theyre widely available. I first learned of barefoot shoes through squat university's youtube channel and my life has changed. My plantar fasciitis is gone, pain at the big toe is gone, ankle and knee pain have been reduced and my lower back and hips are stronger. I have also managed to reduced my ingrown toenail. It's crazy how much better i'm walking and i honestly recommend everyone to give them a try. Start off small, with a wide toe box before you go zero drop, because it may hurt you when you're walking on concrete with no cushioning, while wearing a barefoot shoe with zero drop (check out flux shoes. Altra running also has good cushioning for running, but imo the goal should be less cushioning outside sportd). Good luck ! 😊
@@mega-nuke1587 check out squat university on youtube for more insight and just google barefoot shoes for a list of shoes. make sure to research what you need because all shoes are different and each person has different needs. good luck!
Where I live it rains during the hot part of the year, so coats aren’t a good option. Also, a raincoat doesn’t keep your head/hair dry, or the kid you’re holding/walking with.
Here's an alternative to men who have uneven hairs like me who cannot enjoy the benefits of an electric shaver : get a women's razor like gillete venus razor its super smooth, no knicks and cuts unlike disposable razor, and it shaves cleaner than an electric shaver especially with uneven hair growth. Only thing I would say over circular or rounded parts of the area you're shaving you might not get it all in one shave sometimes, but hey it gets the job done clean & safe.
something i find very useful is buying and carrying a second wallet. one for extra cash , papers , id's, credit cards, licenses and other stuff you do not need that often. and carry an other for everyday use like with a little money and a banking card you use most. the few times i lost my wallet was after using it like leaving it on counter or missing your back pocket, example is part of your shirt goes in your pocket and it pulls the pocket out later.
A Zojirushi travel thermos for coffee. Hands down the best travel mug I’ve ever used and lasts forever. I’m also a big fan of insoles but I’ve been enjoying the Fulton ones best recently. They have real cork so I feel like they form to my foot nicely.
Thank you for covering all these - esp. house slippers! I’ve been looking for a good warm pair that’s machine washable. I will have to try the Luca brand out. And i love Bombas socks. Oh and nice feet btw (liked and subscribed)!🦶🏼😅
I strongly agree with the watch, a pair of good shoes and socks. One of the first things I bought after getting my job was a pair of shoes (not too expensive though) and socks. One of the best purchases I made at that time of my life.
Best Investment for me is having sharp knives, A decent leather strop with compound and a whetstone from shapton or worksharp. Having a sharp knife makes cooking tasks so much easier.
I have a tiny Gerber knife. Fits in the watch pocket of my jeans or the change pocket in my wallet. I also have a USB-chargeable Streamlight on my key chain. Both are very handy.
I recommend a getting a vacuum insulated water bottle. It keeps your cold drinks cold and your hot drinks hot for hours! I got a Yeti and it was 100% worth every penny I spent, especially in those cold winter months.
Instead of the Casio F105W I recommend the W86. It has the same electroluminescent backlight, it has higher water resistance at 50m and its strap is also more supple.
Ik you dont like them but Hydroflask is easily my most used item since I bought it 4 years ago. 40 oz so its a bit clunky but honestly the sweet spot for amount of water I drink over a workday or out playing sports. If you dont care too much about looks buy a open box one or one that has a dent already. I mean your already gonne be tossing it around lol. Just put a sticker over the dent and ur good
I hate stretchy belts. Stretch prevents a belt from doing its job. Haven't found underwear at the price point of Tommy John that comes close to Tommy John. Best and easiest place to get matching wood hangers on the cheap is usually Ikea. Added bonus is they're the retailers most likely to still have the same type of hangers available 5 or 10 years later. Your mileage may vary. Use only as directed.
Great list! Very sensible and well thought out. I was always skeptible of "premium" boxers until I mistakenly bought a $13 pair that were on sale for $8. Since then I've been converted. But as you said, just because a pair of boxers exceeds $10 doesn't mean they're great for everyone. 32Degrees Mesh Boxers is my favorite budget premium brand. Separate is another one I've recently become fond of. Contigo is a superb budget brand for water bottles AND travel coffee mugs. I also love how easy they are to clean/wash. I like the idea of a mini pocket knife on a keychain, but having been stopped by over zealous TSA agents, I quickly abandoned this as I've had to part ways with these many knives on more than one occasion even after showing that the blade was much less than 2-inches.
A Victorinox pocket knife (called Manager) for around €25. Two knives, two screwdrivers, toothpick, scissors, even a ballpen included (which I always forget). Especially when you have little kids (mine are teenagers now) and have to change those batteries of their toys all the time - the screwdrivers are indispensable!
Alum powder. If you get canker sores frequently it’s the best thing you can buy. Just rub some on the sore as soon as you start to notice it and it will be gone much sooner and hurt way less.
100% agree with matching hangers. Just did my closet with 1 style of velvet rose gold hanger and it looks so much better and the clothes sit way nicer together so less wrinkles
I actually have on of those little flash lights but I feel like that's actually intended to use by doctors or medical practitioners.i will keep your advice in mind from now on
Not $50, but you never know if you catch a good deal, a travel steamer. A good portable/travel clothing steamer goes a long way. If you take a few neutral colored polos, tees, and a white or light blue OCBD shirt, and avoid sweating, you can expand your travel wardrobe for a good week. My spring and summer travel tops breakdown, (1) navy polo shirt, (3) tees - black, white, sky blue - works against my skin tone, (1) light blue OCBD shirt.
RovyVon Aurora A8. 4 brightness levels from the main LED and 3 auxiliary LEDs. (I got the UV/Red/White version.) The aux white has 2 brightness levels and the aux red has on, flash and signal. I chose the UV model not for checking currency, etc., but because there is NO better light source for charging lume on watches before I hit the lights.
@@BrockMcGoff It's fantastic. There is more than one iteration of the A8. One, for example, uses blue and amber LEDs. Make sure your'e aware so you can pick what's best for you. But as a budding watch guy, I think the UV model would suit you best.
Recently upgrded to Philips Norelco Multigroom - Ultimate Precision All-in-one Trimmer. It truly is multipurpose. I think its a good investment specially under $ 50.00 at Costco.
Contigo water bottle is durable. Seeing my father-in-law using it daily and the hook broke and pushed on until the some mechanism finally gave up due to age, after like 5+ years. However, I don't like that one can't throughly clean evey inch of the botyle as you can't dismantle all parts for brushing. I came across the laboratory analysis on water bottle and mould growth by CNA Insider titled 'Is you reusable water bottle a hotbed for harmful bacteria & mould? " The other recommendation you have is good. Thanks and haooy weekend.
USB lunch box/portable food warmer. No microwave at my office and the free food at the cafeteria is choc full of of salt. No way they're using healthy oil. So I just cook, freeze, and heat up at the desk.
Any advice on skin care routine. I know many influencers are on the Tiege Hanley bandwagon and I’ve been using it for years too as it’s easy. Wondering if there is anything of similar or better quality that I could switch to.
I would recommend to get Global Entry for people who travel abroad, Its $20 more but totally worth the money. It also includes TSA pre. So its a win-win. Saves a lot of time at the Immigration.
Yeah there’s no way I’m swapping out my Apple Watch Ultra for one of those watches Yes I have to charge it But I just put it on the charger when I’m in the shower every other day and except that I wear it 24/7 It tracks my sleep and it helped me fix my sleep schedule And I love seeing notifications on it cause I don’t even have to pull my phone out often, unless something important happens. Also im Australian, lots of swimming is important and I love being able to track it Water bottle I have a ridiculously overpriced water bottle called the hidrate spark pro (1L version)
Pick style flossers really are a lifesaver. Buy 5 packages and put them wherever you might have idle time. Take hygeine out of the bathroom and you'll do it more often.
Pleased to say I’ve got a few of these. Best one is probably a night light. We bought a box of 2 off Amazon, they are circular and have that circle light effect. We mainly bought them because we have an en suite bathroom and it means we don’t have to find our phones in the middle of the night, or switch on the big light if we visit the bathroom! Just a caution with long chargers. They are usually unofficial as I don’t think Apple sell any longer than 2m (not in the UK market anyway) which would be fine but we bought a pack of 3 that were something like 3m or 4m. Loved them for a while but one stopped working completely and another almost caught fire as my wife was using it! Needless to say we binned the remaining one 🤔🤨 I use an electric shaver but mostly just for the bits I’ve missed after wet shaving. I finish off with the electric. I hate shaving anyway so tend to try and string it out as long as possible but I only have to yawn and I grow stubble.
My addition would be looking into minimalistic shoe wear (the go-to is Vivobarefoot if u have the bucks). U can still easily fit in your insoles and I guarantee u ur feet will feel better after a long day in shoes.

Good content, but one quibble about water bottles. If I use a hydroflask or other double walled bottle, I can keep stuff cold or hot for more than 24h. Hey Brock. Your channel has been one of the most useful channels I've known. It started with dressing sense and now I just use your advice in many little details in life. Thanks a lot buddy.
Wow, thanks!
Those mesh bags with the holes in it that you put your dirty socks into in the wash/dryer.
I travel a lot, and a non-metal belt has helped quite a bit for customs.
I have both a tan and black braided belts. They go great with most of my wardrobe, even the colored pieces
I discovered a similar water bottle about a year ago at Decathlon (a French sporting goods store chain) that's also isothermic! 15€. I use it every day. If I fill it with ice, it'll still be there the following day. I love it.
I bought a braided belt back in 2014, still using it in 2024. 😅😬
I like the Swiss Victorinox nail care 580 "knife". Great for on the go. $38 Also comes with a toothpick
Sounds gross.
I’m gonna check that out!
What shoe brands do you recommend?
Good luck ! 😊
I've been wanting to get some myself but I never know what brands to look at lol
@@mega-nuke1587 check out squat university on youtube for more insight and just google barefoot shoes for a list of shoes. make sure to research what you need because all shoes are different and each person has different needs. good luck!
@@prettyboishah2898 look up some barefoot shoes reviews on google and get what suits your needs. good luck!
Why using umbrella when good raincoat has the same size folded, but really helps even during the wind and you have both your hands free
Where I live it rains during the hot part of the year, so coats aren’t a good option. Also, a raincoat doesn’t keep your head/hair dry, or the kid you’re holding/walking with.
Look like dork
The Uniqlo Supima T-shirt is the best except the white one it is opaque and off white color.
I bought a couple Stanleys years ago, the 22oz push button ones before they got expensive and "cool". Great bottles really.
Here's an alternative to men who have uneven hairs like me who cannot enjoy the benefits of an electric shaver :
get a women's razor like gillete venus razor
its super smooth, no knicks and cuts unlike disposable razor, and it shaves cleaner than an electric shaver especially with uneven hair growth.
I have a zojirushi travel flask which i have used for 10 years. Keeps hot drinks very hot. Expensive though.
Loop earplugs and 3d eye mask. Under $50 for both and lifesaver for sleep when I travel
A good battery pack for your phone. Anker makes bar none products and I don’t go a day without my spare battery pack.
Finding a pen body you like and yhe refills for it. A game changer if you are someone who always has to write something down.
A rechargeable handheld fan. You can get really good ones under for under $30. They have saved my life so many times😩
I recommend a getting a vacuum insulated water bottle. It keeps your cold drinks cold and your hot drinks hot for hours! I got a Yeti and it was 100% worth every penny I spent, especially in those cold winter months.
Yeti’s are nice!
I agree with the watch. I got a Casio ae1200, and love it.
Brock is literally the cool older brother we all wish we had. Thanks for the info brother🤘🏻
Two items in and you already mentioned my go to t shirt and belt haha
Instead of the Casio F105W I recommend the W86. It has the same electroluminescent backlight, it has higher water resistance at 50m and its strap is also more supple.
Loved the video. Straight to the point, no long intro. All great products. Keep it up man
The little keychain Swiss Army knives are my go to. The knife and scissors are excellent quality
Use only as directed.
this video is genuinely good and not trying to sell me overpriced junk i don’t need like all the other product recommendation videos
I love the Manager! It’s a great combination of small size & utility. I’ve got it on my key ring along with my Olight i1r.
Believe it or not, the solid color George brand t-shirts from Walmart are the best I've ever worn. They're $5 and I have a dozen of them.
Everyone makes fun of my Casio DW5600E. I love that watch! Love your list here. Thanks for sharing!
That’s a classic watch!
Alum powder. If you get canker sores frequently it’s the best thing you can buy. Just rub some on the sore as soon as you start to notice it and it will be gone much sooner and hurt way less.
Excellent information, thanks.
just found you bro love your content and production quality and no nonsens vidieos keep it up
I appreciate that!
100% agree with matching hangers. Just did my closet with 1 style of velvet rose gold hanger and it looks so much better and the clothes sit way nicer together so less wrinkles
I actually have on of those little flash lights but I feel like that's actually intended to use by doctors or medical practitioners.i will keep your advice in mind from now on
My favorite tshirts are Carhartt ones, specifically the midweight. They can be a little pricey for t-shirts but they're so worth it.
I’m taking notes ✍🏼
@@BrockMcGoff It's fantastic. There is more than one iteration of the A8. One, for example, uses blue and amber LEDs. Make sure your'e aware so you can pick what's best for you. But as a budding watch guy, I think the UV model would suit you best.
good list. orthotics and retinoids are great for older guys and never wear shoes inside!
Recently upgrded to Philips Norelco Multigroom - Ultimate Precision All-in-one Trimmer. It truly is multipurpose. I think its a good investment specially under $ 50.00 at Costco.
I’ve got that too!
Finally someone mentioning Contigo, nice video Brock 😊
You’re part of the Contigo fam?? Niice 🤝
@@BrockMcGoff Yes, I've been using their products for years, never looked elsewhere
The other recommendation you have is good.
Thanks and haooy weekend.
As someone guilty of not exercising best practices, is there a best method for cleaning? Soaking the whole thing in vinegar water?
USB lunch box/portable food warmer. No microwave at my office and the free food at the cafeteria is choc full of of salt. No way they're using healthy oil. So I just cook, freeze, and heat up at the desk.
I really enjoyed watching this video! Great production quality and amazing to listen to. Thank you!
My thoughts and prayers are with you, as you opened an umbrella indoors.
Any advice on skin care routine. I know many influencers are on the Tiege Hanley bandwagon and I’ve been using it for years too as it’s easy. Wondering if there is anything of similar or better quality that I could switch to.
This is my best skincare advice - ua-cam.com/video/b1cdS3zeSic/v-deo.htmlsi=YKH7FPh1CJNlJsFL
That mini spyderco is amazing!
I love it!
I would recommend to get Global Entry for people who travel abroad, Its $20 more but totally worth the money. It also includes TSA pre. So its a win-win. Saves a lot of time at the Immigration.
Yeah there’s no way I’m swapping out my Apple Watch Ultra for one of those watches
Yes I have to charge it
But I just put it on the charger when I’m in the shower every other day and except that I wear it 24/7
It tracks my sleep and it helped me fix my sleep schedule
And I love seeing notifications on it cause I don’t even have to pull my phone out often, unless something important happens.
Also im Australian, lots of swimming is important and I love being able to track it
Water bottle I have a ridiculously overpriced water bottle called the hidrate spark pro (1L version)
Not a fan of antiperspirant. Any recommendations on actual "deodorant"?
Needless to say we binned the remaining one 🤔🤨
I use an electric shaver but mostly just for the bits I’ve missed after wet shaving. I finish off with the electric. I hate shaving anyway so tend to try and string it out as long as possible but I only have to yawn and I grow stubble.
Thank you! seriously never thought about the socks, underwear, and storing winter clothes 🤌🏼
My addition would be looking into minimalistic shoe wear (the go-to is Vivobarefoot if u have the bucks). U can still easily fit in your insoles and I guarantee u ur feet will feel better after a long day in shoes.
Buy organic cotton. Protect your endocrine system. This goes for shirts, underwear, pants
Hi, Brock! I've been watching your videos for a while. I know they are ment for guys, but I don't know, I always learn something that I apply to myself. So thanks! Keep making awesome content as usual 😄
So glad to hear that, thank you!
Good content, but one quibble about water bottles. If I use a hydroflask or other double walled bottle, I can keep stuff cold or hot for more than 24h. I will still have ice north of 18h later usually. That matters.
Also the love of god why is there not a compact travel electric toothbrush that charges directly via USB-C in 2024??
Take this comment down and make that toothbrush before someone steals your million dollar idea.
I just discovered your channel, i love your practicality!
