I think we can all agree that when Spider-Man No Way Home came out, the honeymoon period for Phase 4 in the MCU was pretty much over at that point. The stuff that came after during that Phase was like a death spot. It’s like everyone else saw No Way Home and were like “fuck! We can’t top that.”
I would say black Panther 2 and GOTG 3 is probably the end of great marvel material
But also those films were being worked on well before phase 4 and 5 so it makes sense.

He's the reset bottom that brings Peter's and MJ's relationship back to zero, he's the needless over the top misery that must happen in Peter's life because "spiderman is only relatable when he is suffering" which is bullshit! Spiderman's relatability doesn't come from the fact that his life is a living hell, it comes from the fact that he deals with regular things like rent, his job, his relationship.

I think the fact that I can still point out issues with spiderman 2 is what stops me from putting it above into the spider verse and across the spider verse. I can't really point out issues with those movies, they genuinely do everything perfectly, including actually making miles an interesting and different person from peter.

Tasm one is underrated. He was more of an outcast than just straight up a nerd, which makes more sense that the outdated 60s nerd stereotype. I liked the parents angle it just should've been dealt with better. The movie also cut some important scenes for whatever reason
Plus he had that confidence even as Peter before getting bitten which A LOT of modern adaptations forget. Peter wss NEVER shy. Not sure where Raimi got that from...AT ALL💀😭. He had game and stature too😂

I think that across spiderverse is honestly the best spider movie, but I believe into the spiderverse should also be in S tier because it introduced the concept of the spider verse so ATSV could go bat shit crazy with the concept. However if we are talking about which movie is the best traditional spiderman story than Spiderman 2 easily is the best. For me it's Across the spider verse, Spiderman 2, Into the spiderverse, No way home, spiderman.
I understand why some people didn’t mess with the first one, miles to me didn’t reach his peak yet but it was a 10/10 for me (leap of faith scene alone is goated) part 2 however elevated the story to the stars and if three hits then it’s the goat for me

I would say though tasm2 is the most visually pleasing live action spiderman movie. The colors are so bright and vibrant, the webswinging looks amazing, and it also has the best spiderman suit in all of the live action movies(imo)

I honestly agree with this list, but I feel like people don’t care and hate Andrews acting in TASM2, but it was great, his acting as Peter with Gwen’s death was amazing, especially that deleted scene with him seeing his father alive saying “where have you been”, I feel like most people don’t appreciate Andrews acting in TASM at all
I love Andrew as Spider-Man he feels like Spiderman I even remember before they recasted for the mcu I wanted Andrew to stay with a better script but he was the only good points of these movies

The venom movies are so bad that they’re entertaining. The only good part about those movies is tom hardy talking to himself aka eddie and venoms dynamic.

If its one gadget that should be brought back its the WEB WEAPONS. I miss those so much. And Peter is smart so other Gadgets like web wings and the iron spider legs and a couple web mods aren't that bad
I'll say Spider Armor Mk4 handled the gadgets the best without going TOO overboard

I can see how you wouldn’t like Spider-Man’s gadgets but Spider-Man’s intellect is basically one of his powers, I feel like the gadgets showcase that the most.

Agreeable peak cinema Morbius is truly the best vampire story. The twilight reboot series coming up should take some pointers.
the raimi movies are still peak spider-man cinema and it will take something revolutionary to top them off.
Nah it’s the most iconic but the movie quality keep dropping same with the others, if spiderverse 3rd film hits it’s over, that will be the most consistent and best Spider-Man trilogy
@@GladwinAbel nope, there's no way you can say the quality keeps dropping when the reality it's the opposite, it ages like fine wine with the animated movies being the only real competition in terms of reaching the same level of quality.
Always love seeing Homecoming praise. Easily one of my favorite Spider-Man movies.
My tier-list like if you agree with most of it:
S: spiderman 2, across the spiderverse
A: spiderman, into the spiderverse
B: spiderman 3, homecoming, no way home, tasm, venom
C: far from home
D: tasm 2, venom 2
Id put put no way home in A just off of nostalgia but if it’s because of nostalgia its not so much that this movie is great but it’s getting credit from great characters in past movies so i put it in B and the plot was a bit sloppy but when you first watch it was like so damn good
Marc Webb is amazing, and people should NOT blame him for the failure of TASM series
They should blame AVI ARAD for stuffing so many characters for the sake of toys sales

I think that’s the most accurate rating of Raimi trilogy I’ve seen. All of them are amazing and 3 deserves more love.

I think the main villain of Venom 1 was Riot or something. One of 5 artificially-made symbiotes from Venom by the Life Foundation in the comics. And he wasn't even the MAIN one of the 5. That was Scream.

The thing holding the tasm back is the villains, the story overall and pacing. There was too much going on especially in the 2nd movie. The villains designs are horrendous imo, especially green goblin. The only thing making it alright is peter/spiderman and gwen stacy.
ATSV was great and i actually came out of the movie liking miles more than when i went in didn’t really care for him before it ngl

It’s three Spider-Men fandom against one, obviously they will think that. Movie was a dope character development but honestly the amount of dump stuff they made Peter did downgrade the whole movie

Great list except Venom. I dont even know why I love Venom, it's how Eddie and Venom interact with each other, the special action style. I would also but no way home in A tier, and I havnt seen Across the Spider verse so no opinion

I'm probably one of the minority of people that thought NWH was ass. Like I loved the MCU side of characters and loved what they did with Green Goblin but everything with the other Raimi characters and the TASM characters felt really shoehorned and was butchered imo. There were plotholes, hugely missed character opportunities, misrepresentations of parts of the older films that were either used for narrative or (probably) used for foreshadowing purposes. The list would go on. I know most people disagree with me on it but that's my personal take

I remember my neighbor made a joke when Tobey showed up in NWH that he looked like a " cool hip child youth pastor ".
So you can imagine how much we were fucking dying when Andrew actually said it.
when it comes to Spider-Man 3, objectively there’s a lot of stinky stuff because of studio over-involvement but I think the Sandman scenes alone and the way he was humanized, not to mention the “I forgive you.” scene at the end, I think what it gets right puts it in the B-Tier or even A-tier. The Birth of Sandman scene alone will never not hit me in the feels
Spiderman 3 gets way to much hate. Way way to much hate. Its goated
Spider-Man 1 and 2 are the GOATs for me. Amazing Spider-Man is alright, although the sequel baiting did it no service. Spider-Man 3 and Amazing 2 are mid at best and suffer similar problems. Tried Homecoming but I didn’t like it at all, and I haven’t bothered with any Spider-man movies since then (in fact I have not cared much for Spider-man after Marvel character assassinated Peter Parker with One More Day, and they’re still doing my boy Peter dirty even now).
Good tier list, just a recomendations:
In the Morbius movie post, instead of "CINEMA" you would have put "Morbin Time".
And as for the Nicholas Hammond movies, they're fine in that position, I've seen them and even though they're somewhat good, they're very forgettable.
Once Spiderman 2 on the PS5 comes out (a day before my birthday WOO) you gotta make a teir list on the Spiderman games next

Spider-Man 3 was never intended to include Venom or New Goblin. Sam Raimi originally wrote the script centered around Sandman and Vulture as escaped convicts. The movie was supposed to be centered around the concepts of humanity and forgiveness, with Sandman attempting to make reparations for what he’d done and Vulture being too far gone and delving into the point of no return. Sony productions forced Sam Raimi to include Venom and New Goblin because they were popular at the time, as was the emo vibe of the early 2000s.
Big Spiderman fan especially Toby Maguire I grew up watching him and I’d have to say I agree with all your rankings 💯💯 as Spider-Man 2 is and will always be the goat. I think it’s the best Superhero film of all-time due that it’s the the closest movie that relates to real life day to day issues we face 💯💯 such a masterpiece
The relationship between Eddie & Venom is probably the one thing that's good. Other than that, I don't know how the Venom movies made so much money.
I think Raimi spiderman is best, spiderverse second, No way Home third everything else was trash.
