Ryan’s arc is frustrating. He keeps swaying back and forth between Homelander’s cruelty - and in this one, he’s back to sadistic cruelty. I want to see him slowly distance himself from Homelander to finally leaving him and fighting him in a flash-forward in the final season. That’s my hope of where the show goes.
That’s because for one homelander was easing up on Ryan and wasn’t forcing Ryan to do stuff he didn’t want to do and second homelander is manipulating Ryan’s good nature into be cruel and sadistic like homelander sooner or later Ryan will end up like his dad if this keeps up
Great Video! Some more shit that's nonsense in addition to what you NAILED: 1) Butcher thinks he can just inject Victoria with a dose, when he recently saw a bullet literally bounce off of her head. 2) Putting the virus in a dead body - blood does not pump in a dead body. The virus would just pool around the tissue he injected. Still could work if a sheep ate that part, but it just bugs me that they're implying it's an entirely infected host. 3) I don't care how clean a cut took that leg off - which, WOW, that was like - a perfect deli slice - even if you put a tourniquet on him, he would bleed out from that wound.
Also Butcher wouldn't cut off someone's leg. Earlier in the show, Homelander threatens to tear Butcher limb from limb for information on Ryan's location, and Butcher says that tearing off his limbs would be useless, as tearing off his fingers or toes would still be enough to put him into shock.
To be fair, there are exceptions throughout history where someone survived a complete amputation. If its a clean cut and an artery is severed, they more than likely will bleed out. But when the person loses a large amount of blood, it would result in a drop in their blood pressure and the formation of clots to seal the leak if assisted by application of tourniquet to the arm or thigh. You are more or less right, but there are always exceptions to the rule. I heard about a guy attacked by a great white shark twice. His legs were bleeding badly. He made tourniquets, but one of the legs was too badly injured. He jumped in his car and realized that he had an hour drive. He started becoming dizzy and knew he wouldn't make it. So, he stopped at a water hole to bring up the volume in his body. He was so rushed that he had just started drinking and until he felt a sharp pain in his side. A lion wrapped its teeth on his side. The lion let go, bit him again. He already lost a lot of blood. The lion ends up letting go, and he knows he has to get to his car, but the entire pride starts swatting at him. He made it to his car only to realize that he dropped his keys before he passed out. A safari guide shot his gun and scared the lions away, got him to the hospital, and he survived. There are always exceptions to the rule. People survive and do incredible things.
And here's another difference between some men and women. Women understand that when men are in vulnerable positions, that is the perfect time to let go pent up rage. Clearly, this scene was written by someone who understands how powerful it is to have someone powerful on your side.

A lot of abuse victims still have other emotions but I see where you're coming from. I think we needed more from this story line to have it play out more effectively though.
Yeah, it is clearly implied that he has been constantly harassing her, likely for an extended period of time. She probably has built up rage. It's entirely understandable that she, with 2 of the most powerful supes around backing her up, unleashing her rage on him. He had the opportunity to appologize to her, but it even came off as much more mocking than anything. This likely added to her rage. There are probably other women he has harassed as well. All the characters look weird this season. At first I thought there were a bunch of different actors playing them. But no. And it's horrible what Erin Moriarty did to her face. Yikes. The politics this season are sooo on the nose to me it almost seems too in the nose. I can't explain it. But I've had a laugh or 3 so far. Why did they need make the Frenchman a ghey?

I don't care for Ryan. He is even weaker than Homelander. 😂
He's much stronger than Homelander but doesn't have enough skill yet. He lasered Stormfront, Homelander couldn't do it
