    Ryan’s arc is frustrating. He keeps swaying back and forth between Homelander’s cruelty - and in this one, he’s back to sadistic cruelty. I want to see him slowly distance himself from Homelander to finally leaving him and fighting him in a flash-forward in the final season. That’s my hope of where the show goes.

      That’s because for one homelander was easing up on Ryan and wasn’t forcing Ryan to do stuff he didn’t want to do and second homelander is manipulating Ryan’s good nature into be cruel and sadistic like homelander sooner or later Ryan will end up like his dad if this keeps up

    And here's another difference between some men and women. Women understand that when men are in vulnerable positions, that is the perfect time to let go pent up rage. Clearly, this scene was written by someone who understands how powerful it is to have someone powerful on your side.

    Great Video! Some more shit that's nonsense in addition to what you NAILED:
    1) Butcher thinks he can just inject Victoria with a dose, when he recently saw a bullet literally bounce off of her head.
    2) Putting the virus in a dead body - blood does not pump in a dead body. The virus would just pool around the tissue he injected. Still could work if a sheep ate that part, but it just bugs me that they're implying it's an entirely infected host.
    3) I don't care how clean a cut took that leg off - which, WOW, that was like - a perfect deli slice - even if you put a tourniquet on him, he would bleed out from that wound.

      Also Butcher wouldn't cut off someone's leg. Earlier in the show, Homelander threatens to tear Butcher limb from limb for information on Ryan's location, and Butcher says that tearing off his limbs would be useless, as tearing off his fingers or toes would still be enough to put him into shock.

    • @charissa6648
      @charissa6648 17 годин тому

      To be fair, there are exceptions throughout history where someone survived a complete amputation. If its a clean cut and an artery is severed, they more than likely will bleed out. But when the person loses a large amount of blood, it would result in a drop in their blood pressure and the formation of clots to seal the leak if assisted by application of tourniquet to the arm or thigh.
      You are more or less right, but there are always exceptions to the rule.
      I heard about a guy attacked by a great white shark twice. His legs were bleeding badly. He made tourniquets, but one of the legs was too badly injured. He jumped in his car and realized that he had an hour drive. He started becoming dizzy and knew he wouldn't make it. So, he stopped at a water hole to bring up the volume in his body. He was so rushed that he had just started drinking and until he felt a sharp pain in his side. A lion wrapped its teeth on his side. The lion let go, bit him again. He already lost a lot of blood. The lion ends up letting go, and he knows he has to get to his car, but the entire pride starts swatting at him.
      He made it to his car only to realize that he dropped his keys before he passed out. A safari guide shot his gun and scared the lions away, got him to the hospital, and he survived.
      There are always exceptions to the rule. People survive and do incredible things.

    though i do agree that the producers didn't really build up to the slap scene too well, I think the slap scene was perfect as is. bonnie has probably been harrassed by the producer guy a LOT more than what the show lets on, and that scene paints the picture to me that what the producer was doing was a LOT worse than when big wigs were around. I don't see why she would be uncomfortable unless she got her anger out and Ryan told her to continue. however, I would have loved to see the other peoples reactions to what was going on, and how they took to Ryan becoming a tyrant in a morally grey situation

    • @Stark-Cinema
      @Stark-Cinema  3 дні тому

      She seemed like a very timid girl so her immediate jump to just senselessly whaling on the guy seemed out of character even if she was abused. A lot of abuse victims still have other emotions but I see where you're coming from. I think we needed more from this story line to have it play out more effectively though.

    • @calvinwilson3617
      @calvinwilson3617 2 дні тому

      Yeah, it is clearly implied that he has been constantly harassing her, likely for an extended period of time. She probably has built up rage. It's entirely understandable that she, with 2 of the most powerful supes around backing her up, unleashing her rage on him.
      He had the opportunity to appologize to her, but it even came off as much more mocking than anything. This likely added to her rage.
      There are probably other women he has harassed as well. He seems like he was somewhat based off of someone like Harvey Weinstein

  • @tombirmingham7033
    @tombirmingham7033 2 дні тому +2

    he did not, he saw justice. That producer was sexually abusing his employee, is an insincere liar he has two personas and is totally fake. He knew what he was doing to that girl and it's what aroused him. He's intrinsically evil. The meek little girl made him feel the pain she had in her over what he had done. Ryan, the child of an abuser, 100% will take that out on his father one day. I was about 8 the first time i beat my dad in a physical contest, He was Drunk and i was practicing. When i was 14 or so he was being abusive to my grand mother, so i broke his ribs to make him remember not to fuck with my grandmother. (Love you Grandma!) Anyways, Ryan's just fine. He's the Hero that knows what he must do. Now he's seen real justice. He wants to empower the weak and make evil quake in fear of punishment and retribution. Who is he to judge? He's the one God Chose to give that power too. So Homelander, his abusive serial killer father who has wronged so many, He'll see Justice and i hope compassion and pitty too.

    And here's a difference between some men and women. Women understand that when men start making these 'little comments' that men are building up to something else. Personally, I am glad we the audience didn't see what typically comes next. It's something many women and men have already experienced in real life, so I'm glad the actual actors didn't need to play it out.

    • @Stark-Cinema
      @Stark-Cinema  3 дні тому +2

      It’s not all men. Are we saying we can’t call a woman beautiful anymore 😂
      Not every man that calls a woman gorgeous is a sexual offender.
      I think we gotta take a step back.
      I kind of see what you mean but come on now. This was way too soft of a take.

    • @gracewheeler20
      @gracewheeler20 2 дні тому +1

      @stark-cinema around minute marker 24:00 of episode 5 after he tells her she looks gorgeous he asks her if she’s gotten his text. She skirts it by indicating she’s on the phone. Love the subtle writing because it’s clear there’s more going on behind the scenes and he’s just being a typical pervy boss, and like the above comment said, he’s pushing it to lead somewhere because he’s already gotten done something, seemingly with impunity
      At work it’s definitely inappropriate to call attention to a person’s physical appearance, and that you like their physical appearance, ESPECIALLY if you are the boss. Come on now.
      But this is the boys, so anything goes. I think it was the point that he hadn’t done anything big with her yet. The punishment didn’t fit the crime, but this was Ryan’s first experience with giving “justice” and he has already gone too far. Such good writing, in my opinion.
