he was the son of a hell fire wholeness preacher woman, they say nobody was wilder...except his brother.....I called him father🙏 now i got me a favorite picture.....i am broken too
I´ve been listening to them for almost 10 years but never dug into their whole catalogue. I´ve just found out about this song today and it´s AMAZING! made my day O/
Totally. King's X are the prime example of a band that should be playing sold out arenas and stadiums..yet as we see in this video, they are playing county fairs and fly-in shows. It sucks and isn't fair! Sure, they were picked up by a major label and other musicians love them. But for whatever stupid reason, the general, album buying public, didn't catch on to them. I don't understand it. Every single one of their albums is killer. They are absolutely amazinig musicians...esp Ty, who should be doing the G3 tour with Via and the gang. He really is that good.
there was only about 50 people there I think roughly... and being outdoors at a waterpark in their hometown made this a pretty unique show... plus this was the mini "best of" tour... the set list, to me, is the best they ever did but this tour was super short but luckily there was a bunch of great bootlegs along the way
...I didn't do the math..but he is already in his 40's here, I do believe. It is pretty crazy that he is approaching 70. Yet he only looks like he is 40. I hope that he keeps making music until he is 100. hehe.
he looked amazing (still) when I saw him with the Hendrix experience tour just a few months ago... he was always doing mad push ups in the bus back in the day and he really really is obsessed with being in shape (in a good way, not manic), he also was always a big believer in royal jelly.... and weed ... but also has longevity in his genes...
Yes thats live folks..i know amazing right..we can talk about it till time goes away..best band on the planet..
The best 3 piece ever!
One excellent song.
What a beautiful, beautiful song. And great performance. These guys are, hands down, the most underrated band on earth.
Only underrated by people with no musical sense or ability....
One of my all time favourite King's X songs.
Love love love this song.
I really liked Ear Candy, and this really is a gem from this album

While I love this tune, my favorite song from this album is A Box!

The last line of the song and outro is so epic. The look of joy on Doug's face as he sings it stabs you right in the heart. Powerful.
Exactly!!! You know that line is for real - no BS!!!
The lyrics are very touching and deep. Great song!
Jamming on an outro like that is what every musician aspires to. Amazing.
I can feel every single note that they play. What a wonderful musicianship
Rest In Peace Momma Pinnick: Guardian Angel in Heaven; watching over her Beloved Ones

always moves me quite deeply--the poetry of it; the simplicity of it; the truth that somehow springs forth from it
This song is so fucking good. What a great performance. Beautiful.
Wow! 14 years ago. I can't believe it's been fourteen years, Suck's getting old. Thor!

so absolutely pure and uncontaminated by success.....now i got me a favorite picture......deep love for you guys
Look at it like this .....we ( the King's X fans ) get to listen to a band for over 30 years that wasn't RUINED by the music ... Industry .
great recording for an audience grab.
My fav X song.
Ty my one and only guitar hero
I don't know how this was recorded, but does the audio sound splendid to anyone else considering it's from 1997?
deep love and adoration for you guys and your gift to us🙏
What's better than a picture? A video. Great tune
Sooo good.
Man I love this band.
I used to have that guitar - serial no 007
Did you sell it to James Bond???
Love them!!❤
Wish I discovered this decades ago.
In this time period Doug looked a lot like Phil Ivey. Great live version of a much underrated KX song.
I played on that same stage and it's right above the motor that runs the wave pool. It is annoying as hell!
not underrated by those who know
Praised by their peers
that is so good
Incredible.
Fucking good!
Dug looks so young here.

A young Ty reminds me of a young Mike Portnoy ..
