You can adjust the cruise control distance on the fly by pushing two buttons: Alt on the right hand and the Up / Down on the left hand.
Ah OK wondering if there was a shortcut like that! I did try some combinations but obviously not that one! 👍if only they would give the handbook with these bikes it would help 🙄
Hi, there is a full searchable version online btw.
Ok thx ! Will try it tomorrow, you made my day 🎉
My dad had the 2018 SX SE and toured most of Europe doing 13,000 miles and had no complaints. Rumour has it he hit 186mph with panniers and all 😉. Best bike he ever owned. Such a pleasure sitting down and watching a chops video
😉👍🏽Yea I’ve been on the limiter two up with luggage💨💨💨
I wonder why they have an 80 mph warning I've had mine faster as well.
@@skts2610 Me too! 😁
You CAN adjust the distance to follow on the adaptive cruise while riding... hold the function button on the right grip module, then used the up/down arrows on the left grip module.
I did a 700 mile long weekend on my SE with bags recently. It was all country B roads and an absolute blast. The ability to sit up and left the cruise manage throttle and brake in the doldrums of traffic is a treat. The real win on this bike is it’s turbine smoothness. I don’t think you can stress how amazing the acceleration is while remaining so smooth. It has a unique perspective of FAST at ease. I know you keep mentioning this. It is so smooth that it’s become the character of this bike. Absolute power in an incredibly stealthy delivery. My RT wishes it was this smooth. It may be up for sale soon.
Couldn’t agree more regarding the engine, superb power plant… I’ve had all manner of motorcycles over a 40 year span, including Busa’s, Blade’s etc and the H2 is by far the smoothest and most exhilarating to ride👍🏽
My ZZR1400 also does FAST at ease. But I do like the look of the H2 SX
@@BibtheBoulder I agree, the H2 SX is so much more comfy though and yeah it looks better. Also I felt the H2SX handled better than the ZZR1400 I test rode.
Finally a tall rider with weight doing a practical test. I'm 6'2" and I have been waiting on this review from a tall rider. It gives the viewer some perspective. Thanks alot
Perspective.
@@Nickbaldeagle02 thanks 😆
I am 6’2.5” 210lbs so I am pleased the bike is suitable for you. Was wondering about wind buffeting on the helmet but you answered that.
I sold my BMW K1200S and bought a K1600GT but I lust for a lighter & more powerful ride. If my wife ever decides she doesn’t want to ride with me, I will get the H2 SX SE.
There was one of these sitting in the showroom waiting on a lucky new owner when I collected my 900RS. I spent a good 20mins drooling over it. What a truly beautiful machine it is in the flesh. If only I had the money and space for it...
Great two part video, looks and sounds an amazing bike, give me this all day long over an adventure bike, Cheers Chopsy.
Awesome Video buddy. You really are the best at these reviews. I've ordered mine :)
Brilliant video chops lovely bike thanks again Danny
Brilliant! Luv it! Great content.. that bike would be a great addition to the stable
Modern video, modern bike, f f f aark how smoooth. For an old fella use to 80's bikes just amazing to watch. Thanks Chopsy
i love these Choppsey reviews, thank you sir!
As someone who rides 15 years in Belgium with all kinds of.. you're talk and chats about the cycle and things around it including some deeper thoughts about for example holding in memory settings made me as a young lad interested in subscribing. Which I did.
You did hit all my thoughts around this bike and I will order one sooner or later when im done with construction.
I'm used to heavy bikes and i just like to have torque, a whistle, own servicing which i have fun things to tinker with (includes knowledge ofcourse), and a plush tour with some massive corners and roundabouts. Thanks alot Sir . No need for wheelies and godspeed, just some tickles now and then for me however. Cheers !
As usual, fantastic video, amazing scenery! This motorcycle is incredible, so much tech, speed and comfort but you pay a pretty steep price for it.
Thanks so much for the great video! You sounded live you enjoyed your day :) I love the H2 SX, will trade my 1000sx in for one next year and I cannot wait! Regards from Germany
I really enjoyed this video, thanks 👍
Great video Chops! Haven't ridden the more recent models but back around 2020 the Z H2 had a slightly different tune for better low down response along with lower gearing, so my ideal combo would be the H2SX chassis/bodywork with the Z H2 tune... miles of smiles.. and a new rear tyre every week 😂 👍
What an enjoyable video, you answered many of my questions re this bike as this is the bike I want to get.
Thanks 👍
As you say, this is for touring, you've actually got to go somewhere, and Kawasaki has dialled in that smoothness perfectly. Lucky for us that you had the rain to test the fairing. The electronic niggles, not being able to connect your phone, and the apparent impossibility to save personal settings for the cruise control seem to indicate immature electronics. You made the comment that the Multistrada V4S is more nimble. The weight difference is only 20kg, and I believe this, apart from more mature electronics, is Kawasaki's challenge; to lighten this bike despite all the tech in the next generation. That and adding self cancelling indicators. The SE's electronic Skyhook suspension, which I understand mainly keeps the bike level during acceleration and braking, and adjusts to more weight, only works in the Road Mode, not in Sport, or Rain, or Manual. Not sure it's worth it, but it would be interesting to hear your evaluation of that. In addition I've seen testers saying the rear damper on the H2 SX could be improved. So switching the rear damper for e g an Ohlins, is not possible on the SE as it would render the Skyhook ineffective. Part of the attraction of the H2SX are the panniers are certified for speeds up to 186mph. I've seen German riders saying the bike is totally relaxed and stable, up to 155 mph before the speed requires more attention. BTW, you state the MPG, but what was your average speed?
I just bought one 3 days ago and I absolutely love it!!!!!!
The SE version?
@@SmittyAZ yes
I hope you're really enjoying it. I've had an SE since 2019 and collect my new MY2024 H2 SX SE in a couple of weeks.
Great video, enjoyed it 👍
I've owned mine for a few months now, have had no issues what so ever, as for the fuel consumption ride it like a maniac you'll get around 70 miles, sensible riding I've had 190 so far.
❤️ this bike
This type of supercharger gives you the best of both worlds, efficiency when ridden sensibly and extra power when needed.
Another absolute Banger of a Video Chops!!! I can’t help but wish I was with you on another Of the same bike!!! Would be incredible to ride your roads!!!
Great video Chops 👍. This will probably be my next bike , I just like the all round usability of this machine. The piggy bank will take a hit , but I tend to keep my bikes for few years . Lulworth Cove used to to be a tank range shooting towards the the sea , ( yes I did ) believe it’s closed now. CU out and about.
I sat on one and fell in love. My dream bike 🥰
Ah i know this route well, passed Bovington ranges… great ride. Enjoyed this one Chops, great vid. 👍
Thanks buddy 👍
Another great video. I work that out to be about 44mpg? Never get tired of your fantastic reviews.
Thanks Peter 👍
Wow, really nice video and what a bike😍👍
Thanks Erik 👍
Awesome review. I must be candid.. you have to best voice for motorbike reviews. Thankyou.
Wow, thanks! 😁
@@LambChopRides Very welcome . Miss the UK you have the best riding on the planet Earth!!
At 5’10” it’s so easy to put your foot down when at a stop. Love mine😊
Loved watching the video and Dorset is a lovely place to ride and I see you went passed the roundabout turn off to loomies cafe and after that you turned down a road I love going I see they still haven’t filled that pothole in yet but great video on the green girl
Great review mate. Thanks. Love the green paint… beautiful. I have had sport tourers…Busa, 14, etc..however I really prefer my KTM SAS…much more comfortable for me. But…would love a ride on the green beast.
Thank you SO much for doing this. 🙌 I need to know that buying this was the right decision 😁.
Welcome Trond 👍
What can I say Chops.......love it ❤
A very proffesional video , even with your camera letting you down occasionally. ....you're nailing these bike reviews. Awesome going mate. 👍😊
Thanks Dean 👍
Great bike. Ordinary cruise control suits me. Great ice cream. 😂👍
That metallic green looks awesome.
It does Richard! 👌
Only time i went to lulworth cove was for a school trip, think i was 10, i'm now 27! Think i had £5 to spend in a shop! Great video as always!!
That mileage is very impressive considering the bikes weight and it's supercharged engine. I have a 19l tank too, I managed 160 miles, some of which were very fun ones, very little super sensible ones. I couldn't hear any fuel in the tank when I got home and checked by shaking the bike with the cap open, and that's a 900cc carbbed engine, so still pretty impressive.
Another good review Lamb Chop
Nice review as ever😀 Question: I was wondering about this special jacket or vest you are wearing ?
Do you use it for comfort
or as some kind of protection?
Or for storing little items like a wallet for instance…?
And where did you get it from?
Keep up the good work and your infectious enthusiasm for riding motorcycles 💪Thx Chopsy
Really good review. The swimming discussion reminded me of deploying into RAF Mildenhall one summer in the early 90's. Much hotter than normal, so a car full of us Yankee airmen decided to go to the coast and swim in the North Sea. Picked Great Yarmouth as the closest place to make that happen. About five miles from our destination, the seasons changed and we went from 80's F to cold and foggy as we got to the beach. Left the shorts and towels in the car and spent the day in coats. The locals paid it no mind. Might as well have been in Hawaii. Swimming, and general frolicking. We got drunk, visited the cheesiest amusements this side of Atlantic City and learned from our intrepid hosts that it was, in fact, possible to play Frisbee in a light gale.
Haha love it John 🤣👍
Great video👍I had a 2019 H2SX,really great bike but I'm over 6ft and I found it comfortable for about an hours ride then I began to feel it on my wrists, the bike is amazing but I did feel it was too much on our roads, you really can't use all the power because I was always worried about get caught speeding because it is so deceptively fast,so I traded in for a versys 1000S,my fourth kawasaki, great comfortable bike and enough power for the road,I'm not flying around all the time, going for a ride is a more relaxed affair now😄glad though to have owned a H2SX👍enjoying your great videos LCR👍and I had three sets of rear wheel bearings changed ,one was a recal but the others, kawasaki changed free of charge because it was a known fault, have you had any problems with this? No it wasn't due to me having it on the back wheel alot😂
Great video Chopsy. I have a 2021 Ninja 1000sx and love it, especially now it has a full system on it 😁😁😁😁
Back in my stomping ground again (I live in Swanage) 👍👍
What did you go for? I assume you had to flash the ecu to suit?
@@markharrison2484 Delkevic headers (full de-cat) with a GR Moto end can. Haven't flashed it yet but will do soon, although it runs spot on at the mo I'll still get it done.
Nice machine Kawasaki always .
Best bike Ever🎉! Love mine ✌️😎
This is the coolest dad bike for sure
Really enjoyed this video. Thank you. I love this bike. Shame it is so very expensive though...Wonder if lease deals is to blame for bikes being this expensive....
Fabulous machine. And yes, I suspect 90% of GS riders would be far better off on this than their german road barge.
I understand why Kawasaki don't allow fiddling through menus while riding. Watching you stop and scroll through at the end, there, illustrates it is no different to a driver scrolling through a phone, let us be very honest. My bike has very little to scroll through by comparison, but there have been times it has distracted me ever so slightly from watching the road, and again let's be honest, on a bike you cannot really afford to be distracted for even a second.
A detail you appear to be unclear on: The engines in the H2 and the H2 SX may look similar but are VERY different. Capacity may be the same and they may both have a supercharger but there are only 1 or two parts that are common to both engines.
Another fantastic video as always Chopsey 👏 Please keep em coming!!
I'm so glad that I didn't say anything about mine in the comments after episode 1 because you have come to all the same conclusions as me 👍
Two things I must add....
1, Ride it like you stole it, and you'll be paying regular trips to pumps!! However when running the Beastie in, ( no more than 4000 rpm for the first 250 miles) the range regularly showed 270 miles after a fill up..... How do they do that???
2) The cruise control works as slow as 19mph. You just have to down stift, 3rd will go down to 30mph any slower you need 2nd or 1st 👍 And happily, up or downshifting doesn't effect the cruise control 😉
All the best Russ 👍
Thanks Russell 👍
PS i forgot to tell you thanks for the review..
I'm smiling cause i know how good the machine is and thanks Kawasaki
I was toying with the idea of an H2 SX, but I ended up with the ZH2. I just couldn't find the value in the increase in price for the sort of riding I do. Some days when I'm on the highway, I do wish I ponied up for the SX. Great video.
Gotta get both bro. One for the city one for touring
Should be your next bike mate it suits you. Very nice machine.
Just off to pick mine up. Weather looking sunny at dealers ready for the 165 mile ride home
Should be OK with one fill up then 😁 enjoy it!!
Another bike I never even considered when buying ..I do like that blind spot detection
Nice vid. 😎👌
Very nice comprehensive review Chops. Looks like a great machine overall with a few minor niggles. Looks like it could be a decent one bike solution for a lot of people. As mentioned before, could be worth doing a Hayabusa comparison one day with Greg if you can get both bikes at the same time.
Thanks RR 👍
Great video LC Kawasaki have done a really nice job with this H2sx real all rounder 👌🏻. Tbh it didn’t look a bad route either bit of everything which is always nice 👌🏻
I had similar issues on triumph tiger couldn’t get my phone to connect to use sat nav or turn by turn, you cant go wrong using a phone best option really 👍 nice bike but its pricey and can it be a only bike at that price
Great vid LC, do you think the electronic suspension would be worth it and this or KTM SD GT?
I would love to test ride one of these 👍🏼😎
I put a powerbronze double bubble screen on mine, made such a difference, also put a powerbronze hugger on it and pyramid extender on front mud guard and a radiator guard and sports pegs which are lower than the rubber OEM one's,did make it a bit more comfortable, has the new model got the plastic bottle to catch oil from supercharger?was a bit awkward too empty!
You sir have sold me on a purchase of H2 SE. I’m a yank who was stationed in UK Cotswolds in the 1980s. My first true sports bike was 1984GPz 550 A1 Galaxy silver from George White Kawasaki in Swindon. Tracy White was my sales gal. Never forgot.
Great video looking into depth of what really counts before buying a bike. Just one question what would be the main difference between the SX SE with the automatic suspension and is it better and therefore worth buying than the 'basic' SE? Love your videos... Cheers
Thanks!
Thanks buddy, really appreciated
Hi Chops , at the moment I’m deciding about which bike to purchase , would you buy this as an only everything and everyday bike. I’m considering this as well as the pikes peak . Love the videos mate .
The market for touring bikes seems to be going up. Can you do a video on the best 2nd hand tourers I have a 2013 triumph tiger sport and in the forums people have 10+ year models still going strong. is it because were all getting older? I go to meet ups and 90% of the people are over 50! great video. every time you ride a new bike I go to auto trader looking for one to buy. then I relise i'm skint :)
Nice one chopsy! Not been there for a few years now, was a nice little pub down there too! Did you get a parking fine??
Not yet Dave... but there's time yet! 👍
Off to watch V4s video again … I’m in the market for a tourer. Swaying towards RT initially but this has completely changed my thought process. Bennett’s done a bud too on the SX but slated the comfort. Need to try it for myself I guess. Kraken Vid chopsy. A little trip to the B500 please on one will really tell us about comfort 😜
No comfort is excellent, well certainly for a larger gentleman 😁
I have had mine for 3 weeks and clocked up 3950km and have only ridden it between friday arvo (go home) and sunday night (back to work) 4.5hrs away.. last weekend i spent basically 13hrs in the saddle went home 4.5 hrs up to nieces 3rd bday 1 hr away, over to mates 54th bday another hour, 2 hrs home then 4.5 back to work... AWESOME MACHINE did get to 220km/hr when i sneezed it did tell me the range was 411km once full..
Sports tourers are my choice for a road bike. The H2 SX is a beaut but very expensive. It's great that it is very different because of that supercharger but I can't get by the cost myself. Personally I keep looking at that Super Duke GT for a one bike garage but really you need more bikes for all occasions. At least that's what I tell my Mavis.
If you want to test out the sport tourer / adventure bike argument you could seek out and test the VFR 800 and VFR 800 Crosstour (or the 1200s) to see which you prefer but as a Superbike School graduate I can probably guess the outcome.
I sat on this bike and the standard H2 and I tell you what the fairing on the SX in person it actually looks a bit better than the H2 naked , it’s sooooo comfortable too I was surprised 👍🏾
Get the akra exhaust on it, it sounds great 😁
wait till you ride the SE' model brotha' Lamb - my Goldwing is covered in spiderwebs at this point !! Love my Dragon - BTW can ya' say "Its an incredibly powerful machine !!"
Mr Chops, I have been watching your videos on the hx SX, multistrada V4 and the BMW 1000XR - Im the same height as you so am cautious with the h2 and if I may bet uncomfortable after a while. Im used to the H2 SX style (Currently Ninja 1000 SX) and thought the Multistrada / BMW XR 1000 might be more comfortable but not sure about the riding position after a test ride on each. Any thoughts
My old Ninja12 didn't like the rain. Heading back along the 272 from Andover to Haywards Heath in heavy rain I was lucky I didn't switch the ignition off as the lower loom was destroyed by water ingress. After I got home it would not start.
I've had mine for three years now, done a couple of tours in France and Spain two up with luggage and i use to fill up every 150 miles with two bars still showing! So yea, they're pretty damn good on the go go juice... Excellent bit of Kawasaki wizardry...
Stopping every 150 miles/240 so kilometers would do my head in my Bmw 1250 gets 380 / 400 klm & still that’s not enough, in Australia out of the city we need more than that !!
@@kwakaj14 All due respect my friend, it’s really not in the same category as the GS and you don’t get the thrills and performance of an H2…
@@skts2610 I didnt say GS my is a R1250R .
@@kwakaj14 you said BMW 1250 so I assumed it was a GS! Still not in the same class especially performance wise!
Great video as always Chopsy, there are some dealerships in the north west selling the 2019 base model brand new for about £14.5k, you don't get the TFT, QS, heated grips, cornering lights, braided hoses or centre stand but you get everything else from what I can gather.
Do you reckon it's a good deal?
Sounds like it Andrew! 👍
I believe you have to download an app on your phone to connect to the bike’s dash by Bluetooth. And did you try the QuickShifter? I test rode the 2019 model SX SE, and it was buttery smooth.
What’s your wet gear of choice? I tend to use Richa typhoon over the top but would love to find something that doesn’t need me to jump off to put on the onesie in desperation
Very nice.
Great video! Once I'm getting older, I need one of those. Got any great plans for when you hit 100k?
Thanks Rutger, no plans it's still a few months away at the current growth rate but getting closer!
I kept wondering why mine doesn't have the 2 green bushings at the bars' Duh I've got the SE-SX with the active suspension (also lots of dead or weak batteries in the FOB's and the tire pressure monitors being reported on the forums')
Sneaky segue with the phone case there chops, been on that ‘Marketing for UA-camrs’ course I see 😉
Haha oh yes 😆
That Candy Green is a fabulous colour. I suppose this is a successor to the ZZR1400R, big, plush and mind bendingly rapid. 44.5mpg is very impressive given the performance. plenty of us get that when pressing on on humbler steeds. While I'm at it my mate has just put a deposit down on a Speed Triple RS. Many reviewers (usually race spec physique) complained it was too stiffly sprung but you said it was great. On that basis he tried one and was smitten. Turns out 20 stone or thereabouts does make a difference!
I had both the ZZR1400 and the H2 SX SE and interestingly enough despite the marketing about the supercharger the 1400 smoked it.
@@Kurlach Wow, did not expect that!
First used adaptive cruise control on my Subaru XV/Crossover. You can reset the distance from the car in front on the go. It's brilliant.
Water too cold for the sharks.
An Electrified lamb chop- sounds gruesome.
Yeah I love cruise control and the adaptive stuff is brilliant.
I think this will be a worthy upgrade from my k1300s
You can adjust the cruise control distance on the go, use the right function button and the down button on the left controller as you ride 9:36
Bovington Camp is where Harry did some of his training.
It will be great to see if you do detailed review of Yamaha R1 and R1M
Yes would love too if Yamaha ever respond to me 🙄
Off at a tangent, but when you get a chance can you post the footpeg (top) height of your H2 (not the loaner SX) with it upright please with both wheels on the ground - I'm looking at them but I'm not sure I can get my leg up :) An S1000RR is 42cm. Thank you!
This bike is just fantastic, it has everything. The only sad thing is that sport tourers aren't trending as years ago. People wants crossovers, people wants nakeds...
Great vid Chopsy!
Why do people get so giddy at 200mile on a tank though? This is a sports tourer and will do 200 on a tank, I will do over 180mile on a tank on my blade on a Sunday thrash...doing over 50mpg and I'm a big guy 😂
Seems like it should do more, like 300miles
Great vid did you get anything in the post
Not yet.... time yet though
This is great and I’m with you on the preference for sport touring over adventure bikes.
As for MPG, I have yet to see a frugal V4 yet, my VFR1200F gets about 38mpg on a sleepy commute, 34 with luggage on, >30 when abusing it.
Great second video love the bike, Kawasaki make great quality machines 👍,
For me too costly ,personally I would rather have 1000 sx ninja and money left over to perhaps have another bike if I had the room, i still run sx 1000 get a average of 54 miles to the gallon seat is a bit uncomfortable , but don't think its worth part exing for the new model for a better seat cruse control heated grips and aTFT 😀 ,
That's impressive Chops, you averaged circa 42mpg!
Is Hill-Hold control applying brake or burning the clutch for you?
Be a bit longer to get anywhere if the fun police get the blanket 30mph over the countryside bike seems amazing covers a lot of bases ,,be a bike for every job 👌👌👌☘️☘️☘️☘️ getting out John it's like medicine for the head and body glad to see you out on a bike ride 😜
If that happens may aswell chuck in the keys! Fingers crossed it doesn't 🙏
@@LambChopRides they are piloting the idea in parts of England and Wales with a view of expanding it ,,, sneaky by keeping it low profile 😞😞😞😞😞
Pretty sure as the people of this country we decide what happens to things like this. Maybe everyone could do 30mph on alllll roads including motorways and A roads as a protest.
Nice bike👍🏻
Are you going to do a review on the Yamaha MT 07?
I would love to try all the new MT range but Yamaha don't have any press bikes 🤷♂️
