Best description of what I am going through, for now over 3 months! My vestibular physical therapist is so far the best help with this condition. I agree that this is diagnosed only through testing via exclusion of many other possible diagnoses. Thank you.
Everyone who may have vertigo: this is probably the most informative description of not only cervicogenic dizziness but also other types of vertigo on YT, if not on the entire web. I can tell you that the so-called 'famous' hospitals like Mayo Clinic Rochester MN, USA, are unable to even look into these potential causes. So enjoy this video. And, right now the knowledge on vertigo is very limited even among the medical professionals. For instance, there are no medical terms to differentiate the 2 types of dizziness: one during motion of mostly the head, and other while in perfect stationary position like while sitting or lying on bed. Obviously as such they don't indicate same underlying problems and hence diagnosis and treatment should differ accordingly. But there are no such differentials clinically at the present as far as I know. NAT, Thank you very much for sharing!
l have imbalance spasm right neck..xray show straight neck. feel slight pain c6c7 right side. slight headache on side of forehead. sae chiropractic 7 x. made imbalance worse..2yrs now.started with bppv. now just imbalance feeling yes pain at corner of right neck.god l really miss my old self.dont know what to do?
I suffered for many months with this type of dizziness. The only thing that really cured me were STRONG AND ALMOST PAINFUL MASSAGES ON THE UPPER NECK AND NECK. All due to muscular contracture and anxiety disorder.
When i stand up i have dizziness, also have tmj displacement, also my ohysical therapist think i have cervicogenic dizziness when i walk unsteady and my normal balance never go back to normal, its been almost 2 months my balance never back to normal everytime i lay down i feel like swaying when my tmj hurt my ear affected.and neck in pain i dont know ive been to vestibular therapist, acupuncturist, ent specialist, mri says i have osseos changes. Starting to get tinitus
If I get it a lot when I am laying down in bed or with movement in random positions, could it be this? It comes and goes but i have been having this for several months, I have always felt my neck to be sore and weak so I have been doing neck strengthening exercises but is there anything else I would need to do to eliminate this possibility? It’s so frustrating to be through this, I went to the ent, neurologist and my gp, they all said it was fine, but never mentioned anything related to the neck. Originally I had a neck X-ray but it was fine. However, everything is still present
Not necessarily bppv. I have gone through exactly what he is mentioning above, mri scans, CT scans, everything. Then I went to vestibular rehab and bppv was ruled out. Been doing rehab for months and still hasn't been solved. Absolutely a neck issue. When I accidentally crack it, vertigo spikes
@@kirk1208 do you ever feel wobbly when you walk? I think I’m experiencing something similar to you. For me, when I walk and move my neck around (I think it’s my neck) I feel a sense of wobblyness, almost like a lack of balance. BBPV has been ruled out for me as well with clean scans etc. Started physio last week and honestly felt a bit better this week!
Please reply actually my mom suffering from cervical dizziness and she is not able to get up on the bed , and before two days she is suffer from dizziness and laying down on the bed , since yet she is not able to get up , when she is trying to get up on the bed so she feels like dizziness too much , and when she turn her body on right and left side so she also feels like dizziness, I gave medicine of cervical dizziness but not improvement , dizziness is not stop , it coming continues, please can you tell me how to treat this , and what exercise I can use on laying down on the bed please tell me the solution ?????????
I'm sorry she is going through this. I am going through the same thing. Been dealing with it since April. I have been just like your Mom and not been able to get out of bed. It's pretty crappy. I would try vestibular rehab. Even though that really is supposed to be for the ears and bppv, it still helps with the dizziness and vertigo. I would also tell your Mom to go on small walks, even with you by her side if she needs help. Keeping moving is very important. Laying in bed will unfortunately only make it worse. Lastly, look up vertigo exercises. In particular, focusing on a certain object and moving your head sideways as we well as up and down. Start off with 30 secs and then work up to a minute. Several times a day. Tell your Mom to stay strong, she will make it through💪
Can u plz help me bcz many doctors I vist just diagnosed anxiety and depression but I think I'm suffering from cervical dizziness .....I feel like swaying, inner spinning, palpitations, dizziness and the most worst symptom is my balance problem....I can't sit still and feel like I'm just going to faint ....plz tell me what's the cause....its been 1 year and my all test reports are clear ....I'm very restless and in pain,I can't do anything, my study ,my life .... Just want to be normal again
Hi @iceprincess6120, Your symptoms really sound like a BPPV problem, so an ear nose and throat specialist would be one consideration. Also a physio therapist who works with dizziness, vertigo, balance would be a good place to start. Thank you very much for your feedback. Did u get the vac?
Hello, how are u now?
Is bppv and cervical same? What is the difference between them?
Bppv is an ear disorder. Cervical dizziness is originally from the neck.
If I get it a lot when I am laying down in bed or with movement in random positions, could it be this? It comes and goes but i have been having this for several months, I have always felt my neck to be sore and weak so I have been doing neck strengthening exercises but is there anything else I would need to do to eliminate this possibility? Which side it's more prominent? Did you notice any trigger points in and around the neck or any difficulty or pain in neck movements?
U have bppv go to physiotherpist

How’s your mom? I went to an Upper Cervical Chiro and that’s helped me but I need to see a PT. I have to go twice a week currently.
Can Jaw joint damage cause this?
