Lol thanks! I agree that they wouldn't want to send us tools! Maybe its because we actually use them... But we have tools that have lasted years of use and I'd recommend to anyone then there are the others lol!
Just got myself one can’t wait to get into some framing with it. Picked it up yesterday and gawd damn it’s heavy compared to the paslode but it’s not something I couldn’t get used to. Another kiwi builder
I would enjoy doing build videos on how we do things here but it would be time consuming and difficult with trying to keep production up. Maybe someday.
Great review! You handled the important stuff. I am getting one of those especially because of the long mag. I hear you on something to hold a clip of nails that will not quite fit in front of the spring on the slide, shooting a few, and then pulling the slide again. I hope milwaukee hears you too. Looks like they have a winner here.
Best review I’ve seen, thanks! I hope you post an update video, I like that you have multiple guys running it so you get a more diverse review. I have their 18ga Gen 2 and I love it, especially the belt clip, I put on my hammer loop as well. I’ve been looking at this nailer and the weight seems pretty heavy, but I just frame basements and bathrooms so it might be something I can live with to cut the hose. Cheers!
💥💥 Excellent review. Now to see how durable it is and how often it has to be sent in for repair. I’m lucky to have an authorized Makita repair center 12 minutes from my house and shipping out a tool is not pleasurable. They should have some sort of feature that adjusts the driving force to adjust to the length of the nail. I had just returned three Metabo 21° framers because each one of them was defective. Their customer service was the worst that I’ve dealt with in 35+ years along with many other companies with personal use items. I’m excited to buy this gun and free myself from lugging a heavy compressor for small repairs. 🤟🏼
great video my brother has some experience framing and swears that cordless framing nail guns are worthless I showed him this video and he's thinking of buying this cordless framing nail gun
In a professional environment, I get the impression that a new product, it has several small issue that just get under your skin. Mind you, a new out of the box, should be a few months before you see those problems *I'm gonna rethink purchasing this nailer* Thanks for sharing your thoughts 👍
I just picked one up finally for a pretty good deal today, got the whole kit for $400CAD then sold the charger. Into it for $365 for nailer +5ah batt and bag. Lol I know you said they're all in for warranty, I don't do production framing by any means so I'm hoping it'll hold up.
Hello from California! I just barely got myself one of these nailers but for joisting im noticing I’m having a hard time accommodating with it. Maybe it’s the transition of a Hitachi NR83A to the Milwaukee nailer? What I loved most is that I was able to put hangers/hardware with the nr83a but with the Milwaukee it’s near impossible! Might just have to get me a legit hardware gun now!
Got 21 degrees. Boy, that’s one heavy nailer. I am building my character, now. I absolutely love it. I love their Sawzall. And now this. I am definitely buying more Packout. Too bad it ain’t made in US or by US company.... the reason that I am staying with Festool and Woodpeckers
2 days in & I removed the belt clip. Feels good otherwise. I’m sure it will be the go to gun for trusses. I have not done any production wall framing yet.
I have a question with regard to the actual nails. Have you had ever used scrails these are by fasco fasteners. Please come back if your had any experience
I hate the belt clip. The gun is so heavy I can’t hang it off my belt and walk straight. Agree with everything else though. Especially wanting a retainer in the bottom of the magazine to hold more nails.
I'm not sure if my wrists are weak or the longer magazine makes a difference, but it felt super front heavy to me building walls. I think some more balancing would have helped it feel wayy lighter. Have you had any issues with it splitting plates/material like crazy?
Could be because on walls we were running 9 amp batteries? What we think of as balanced might also be different. Did you come from using coil nailers? Yes they do split lumber a bit sooner but try reducing the depth helped for us.
Oh no. You just regurgitate the Turds words. Now it's gonna be banned too with that extended magazine. 😂 That nailer was designed for one thing and one thing only. To shoot as many nails as possible in the shortest amount of time.
@@gingrichconstruction7242 I've read a complete handgun and detachable magazine ban is coming down the pipe soon, from pretty reliable cnd distribution sources. Not cool. I already have a bunch of items on "the list" that seems to expand everyday with new models. It's ridiculous.
How are they holding up any problems? My hikoki nailers magazine is already refusing to push up nails to firing mechanism (keeps dry firing) after a year of infrequent use . I'm tempted by the Milwaukee
@Phelebas only time nails get wet is when I'm working in the rain I'll try the silicon spray though never had problems with my DeWalt or any of the 4 paslodes I've had f I'm guessing 15 or so years
We replaced our paslode nailers with these. When new the paslode were just as reliable and consistent but we had problems with longterm reliability because we used them almost as much as air. Also the gas cost adds up. These are quicker have more power and you can get the longer magazines so yes I would buy these over paslode. BUT we had our paslode for quite a few years and well they did break the actual repair costs were very little. How will these last in mud, snow, rain etc? Time will tell...
They are not as good as I hoped so far all have gone for warranty. I will be doing a update as soon as I have time. Currently over worked with trying to keep customers happy.
Glad to hear that the hitachi are working for you! We didn't have any real problems with the one we used either. We prefer the Milwaukee and it suits our battery platform better as well. Hopefully Hitachi and Milwaukee keep pushing each other to make better and better!
I build hog barns the same style he is with trusses 4 foot center Perlins 2 foot center for one they look pretty square to me for 2 perlins don’t have to be perfectly square up and down have 3 and a half inches too make a straight screw line too center of truss is way more important to make sure the building is plumb
I’m Canadian and don’t say aboot. and I can’t believe you actually say aboot instead of abOUT. I thought it was just a joke but nope you are saying abOOt. It’s supposed to be pronounced like OUCH. Do you say Ooch? No you don’t, it’s OUch. Same with out and about. They start with an AH sound not an OO sound.
Best reviews on the most important tools! I bet companies would be scared to send you product for review. Welcome to the real world. Thanks!

Can’t wait to see how it holds up. I am very interested in buying one for day to day building.
Good video John. Keep up the good work
Just came across your channel, thanks for the input and real world opinions!! Keep building Canada!! 😁👍

i know it's pretty off topic but does anyone know of a good site to stream new movies online?

Does the cold seem to have much effect on the Milwaukee? I know the Paslode doesn't like the cold
I bought one I'm from Northern Canada, I was using mine in -30 degree weather and it was working like a dream
Did not understand the comment about the 2 3/8 nails. Did you say they did not work with this Milwaukee ?? Those were 8s right?
It's just a certain brand that is a big issue but so far the 2-3/8" are not as reliable as 3-1/4".
But cant it shoot 10 penny nails sense the Hitachi/Metabo cordless framer cant. They're to fat for the slide
Would you buy this over a Paslode nailer?

Yes but you the run time will not be that good
