It's runs like these that keep me coming back to watch GDQ events. Great combo of runner and commentary - Maxy and KZ_FREW make this a must-watch.
My first play of this game scared the shit out of me.
Judging by the name of the game that seems to be the point.
Game makes for a really surprisingly good speedrun, very entertaining commentary and edge of your seat moments in this run. Hope to see more F.E.A.R. games at gdq in the future.

This is a game that NEEDS a remake.
It really doesn't. It holds up 15 years later. Looks better than some games now. It's not that I'm opposed to remasters, but so frequently the remake/remaster's are subpar. They change things about the game, change physics or mechanics. The fact is that FEAR 1 has a great engine, great lighting, great shooting and fantastic AI/level design. The whole reason the game works so well is that every map was created to abuse the AI's mechanics. If they remade it they would have to remake the entire thing, that is, the AI and the level design would not mesh the way it does in FEAR.
No offense to you ofc, but I'm very tired of people calling for remaster/remakes of games that DO NOT NEED IT. People seriously thing Red Dead Redemption 1 needs a remake.
It's like The Last of Us remaster, it ran like trash, looked worse, and played worse. Good games do not need remakes. More recently, the Dead Space 1 remake came out and while it is nice it's in my opinion that it was completely unnecessary and only exists to revive a finished franchise.
I just randomly clicked this video since I did play F.E.A.R back in 2005 and this run was one of the best and most enjoyable speedruns I've seen. Maxylobes seems like an awesome guy aswell
I actually really love the dark, cloudy mountains skybox in this game.
I love this like speedrun community or i mean this channel, these people. Its pretty wholesome for the most part and kind of interesting to watch
F.E.A.R was a great game. I played the hell out of this in the old days.

The shotgun in this game is amazing. Great feeling
I keep hearing people say that, but its just not true.
Even if you hit with all the pellets, the ahotgun is not a one shot kill on basic replica, which is bullshit.
Only game to my knowledge that has a better shotgun would be Doom 1 and 2.
Still one of the best shooters ever made, great to see it always make the GDQ list.
This game was and still is one od the best experiences you can get .
