Hated Onyx’s Folio case and bought a third party folio case from Amazon which is a better fit imoho. I love the Palma just watched the vid to see your opinion of it. 😊
Nice review. I have the Palma and I love it. It fits nicely in my bag and pocket, so I can pull it out and have distraction free reading without the eye strain that I have with my phone. I do have a Kindle Paperwhite, which I love too but I wanted a smaller e-reader. It is a bit pricey, hopefully they’ll get the price down to $100-150.
Bit misleading to mention the case came with it. You probably got one because it's a review unit. There is no case included with the consumer version. The camera isn't weird, it's use case is for scanning documents using the app you rolled your finger over!!
It's getting more and more the dangers of spyphones. Not good that they put cameras and microphones in it. Hope another creates an only ereader like this
It's an ereader with custom reading apps, even if you don't upgrade android those apps won't stop working. The only way for it to become a brick is if it doesn't charge or power on.
Everyone has their own use case and value things differently. There is nothing else like this in the market at this size. With this device you are not tied down to a specific ecosystem for books. I love mine for use before bed. Keeps me off social media or other distractions, I can listen to audiobooks, read articles with Readwise Reader, and control my smart home devices. All while leaving my phone in another room.
camera is for taking pictures of texts in order to read them as pdf. I wish my kindle scribe has a camera!

@@aliciareadsinbr agreed! I’d be happy with a version that is just an eReader, I personally don’t need the camera and other apps.
@@NReluctant and maybe a pencil to take notes ;)
Hoping to hear that the battery life has significantly improved.
It will be the same. they just tweeked a few small upgrades. It's not really a 2.0
Where did you get the black case? From boox directly? I only see the white case on Amazon.
@@nanabai329 yes they were offering it with pre-orders
How many days it stay for one charge?
That would depend on how often it's used and how bright the front lit screen is. I've heard that it will last about 1 week on a full charge.

@@tinblue hi, the case came with mine because I pre-ordered my unit. They included them for free for anyone that ordered when they were announced.
@NReluctant oh right. That makes sense.

how long will they provide android support? If you cant get issues fixed after 2 years, you just bought a expensive brick.

Why do they think this device is worth 279.99? that's crazy

It’s definitely worth $200 no more than $250
You have to consider how crazy inflation has been over the past three years. Just look at how much the Amazon Kindle costs now compared to before.
What do you think about posting a video of the differences between black and white?
