He said it best, "It was just Manners". Raised right
Good parents I bet!!!!!
Def raised right but went that extra mile standing for 45 minutes. Impressive if only the entire world would follow good manners what a place the world would be to live in.
feminists would probably have a different opinion XD
@@OZU363 You are right... maybe she should have held the umbrella over him?
@Bela Rios You are right... a Man would have had the sense to stand under shelter
"Give me a hug" the good old days. Haven't heard that in a while.
I'm sorry, no means no
@@nickpetitt2642 im sure you realize they're referring to the pandemic...
I've never heard it so
What I wouldn't give, to give my mom and sisters all hugs right now. 😢
Oh yes, in the Before Times.
The saddest part is that gestures like this are such a rarity nowadays that this makes news... Why isn’t this a normal thing anymore?😢
each one of these inspires more acts of kindness and solidarity. we're all humans and i wish more of these stories of people spreading love made the news.
It is news for u Americans
Cause that's what is not normal for u Americans now shut up
@@Robmancan1987 3 easiest ways to control a group of people is (Fear, Anger, S*xu*l Desire) I funny enough found out the last one recently if you search BNWO on twitter its an eye opener.

A True Gentleman, holding an Umbrella for a Lady not only a Lady but officer of the law . 👏👏👏
@Jackie Adam 😂shes a woman
@Bela Rios LMFAO he's married leave homie alone
And she's a lady not some insecure, immature person who complains that's' it's demeaning that he did that' for her
@Bela Rios U said that the same thing to the other comment.. Please staph, ur making urself look more horrible
@Bela Rios just stop not everyone is a simp and he wasn't simping he was just doing a nice thing for someone. U prolly dont even know what simp means
Human decency , unfortunately in short supply these days .
only if you want it to be.
@Goober Goblin
What's really gonna suck is life about 25-30 years from now when people yearn for "the good old days" of today. Imagine that.
@@Just1American1966 2050: Remember the good ole days when social distancing worked? Now we have neutrino-74 a new virus that can travel through any object at the speed of light only seeking one thing, a heartbeat.
It's not, "only if you want it to be", its "only if you let it be"
Especially when it comes to the way police treat people
Sure we need to fight against police brutality, but I think people hating on cops now should be reminded of this of what they have forgotten: human decency, respect, dignity, and manners. Much respect to this dude.
Exactly. Well Said.
Agreed
@@thomasteehan6318 Not only that, but everyone needs to open their minds more, have more understanding, and not judge and condemn too quickly, especially when there are those constructively criticizing or don't agree.
@t w
I started on the job back in the eighties. I remember sometimes I would park my car and go rattle business doors while working the night shift, making sure they were still locked, and wondering at times why, in a supposedly-civilized society, there was even a need for my job.
So glad I got this to 100 likes
What a nice guy. Great attitude.
@Bela Rios Waw, really? Stop critisizing.. U don't know much
@@Rodrigo13Solario lmao xD
I am humbled by the service of you both and grateful for a reason to be proud of my birthplace.
Awww how sweet. A guy gave me his umbrella downtown and I was stuck in an unexpected rain on my way to an appointment
Good for you, Sean. You, and the lady officer, paying your respects to an officer killed in the line of duty are proud and prime examples of what we need so much more of: respect. Thank you both for your service.
so much more than just a gesture, standing there for 45 minutes is incredible.
I LOVE this this type of news,
beautiful humanity , my Respect for this beautiful people.
Thank you! That's much appreciated!

This is what America should be!!!
This story is the best thing i ever scene in my life why are the views so low
Well I doubt the people who subscribe to news stations like this one arent there necessarily for the smaller stories like this. Personally I only subscribe for the on the road series with Steve Hartman.
Ty for saying that Amy. My sister in law is that deputy and it was a very nice story no matter what negative comments people post on here.
Don't you mean "seen"? Typical brain-dead liberal.
Low views because no one searched for it .....
Almost two years later, I doubt CBS would post something positive about the police.
Not even gonna try
Calm down clown
This was in 2019
Try to enjoy this for just a second or two. Might take some hate away. Nice heartwarming video that shows kindness, respect, love. Why do u always see the negative?
How about you send them a story to cover then
it's nice to know there's still people in this world with respect honor and decency and if we had more people like this the world would be a better place
Too bad there are so few women who appreciate decency. Most can’t even recognize it.
This was a CLASS ACT and BOTH were raised RIGHT
This is the result of good parenting. He not only paid his respects but also helped out another person in her time of need. Blessings and much respect to the fallen officer and these two wonderful people.
Damn i almost feel a tear forming in my eye from how wholesome that is
CBS would never report something this controversial today.
Rip Officer
Sargent, not officer

Craziest part: *We are shocked by these amazing acts of kindness nowadays because we are not human anymore*
That's a gentleman right there.
he is the deputy district atty... that is manners for you
Ok kids, THIS is what respect and honor looks like. Take heed.

Every American should be proud and show respect for every fallen soldier, the simplest American.
It is a matter of manners! What golden worlds.
Only a gentleman can do this ...his parents shud be very proud of having raised such a decent human
I'm not American but this the kind of act that makes America Great.
Thats what makes America great. Please doing that good work
Woow he know respect
Strangest salute I ever seen
Agree, sloppy uniform from the top down. Sad ....
@@blasi1800 Hey, y'all are so kind...she is standing in the rain representing her shift as a police officer - not military...calm down.
Facts but still it's the thought that counts
Both the officer and the man with the umbrella is what our country needs more of. God bless the family of the fallen officer, and these two good human beings 🙏 Suprised CBS put this on air
I’m from Huntsville. Only a hour and 50 minutes away. I’m glad to see some Alabama love shining. Stuff like this happens every day in alabama. Strangers can meet at the gas station for the first time and stay and talk for 30 mins. I absolutely love my state.
Exactly. The South really is the best place to live
These video restores my faith in humanity. Respect for the DA w/ the umbrella!
The fact that he understood the power of silence at that moment.
Wow 45 minutes, thats mad respect
A deputy district attorney.
For a man to be in a position like that all the while being humble, now that's a great human right there!
Respect and chivalry. Still alive in the south.
A small gesture can mean so much. Absolute respect to both of them 💖💖
Beauty & respect with love, and care at its very best! So so very grateful with much gratitude.
The man was black! They was white! An they got major respect for him! This world 🌎 still have great people in it! Respect to those people who see people as people an not black or white or any other way then people!
i salute you my friend
Well stated my friend. We are not here to hate and destroy. We are here to love each other and take care of each other. God Bless!!!
Quite agree.
@ela robinsin His point is that race was clearly unimportant, as should always be the case.
I respect your views on only seeing people as people, but your comment was the first thing that brought up colour and it works completely against what you are trying to achieve. Everytime people bring colour into something whether it be positive or negative, the more people will blame actions based solely on colour rather than individual people.
There are "Awesome People" in This World ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
An Officer & A Gentleman...we need them both.
Just do a small kindness without expectation. Those are most rewarding and enhances one's character.
Ugh so sweet ❤️🙂💙🤘

My father was a judge God bless his soul...he used to tell me there are good people in every nation and race
this man was either raised right, or figured his way out through life the right way. not every gentleman had good parents, and that's through my experience of meeting guys.
Now this is amazing!!!
Good job young man you were raised with manners
Lovely gesture from both, and, unfortunately, terrible salute from one of ‘em.
The core of this man is in full view...a special thanks to the family who raised him to be a compassionate and thoughtful gentleman. Thank you si.
