PLENTY good men and police out there, and we're so proud of being Americans. Our government may defund police; but we love our Resource Officers and "Officers Friendly" in our lives! They are there to protect and help us, and we're here to support them. Stressful & dangerous career as a police officer, so we cherish the time together each day.
Defund the police is a terrible slogan. What they mean is the budget of the force needs to have less arms and more actual resources for mental health calls, etc etc. defund is such a shit slogan for it tho
Agree completely. It's meant to fire up the base but it makes both sides angry and more divided for no reason because it doesn't sound like a reasonable policy proposal. But we do need better training for cops in how to de-escalate because a lot of times they escalate instead and then something terrible happens. The cop see here seems like one of the good ones.

I myself give ties and jackets away to young men, and nice hats and purses to young women, in hopes that they will begin a new chapter in their lives and set a new pace for their peers. @@Zedeeziadude he can't take gifts from people he detains or suspects and such cuz that's bribery that doesn't mean he can't recieve any gifts from anyone ever, it wasn't even from the family he helped lol
@@JOHNRAMBO42091 my best friend and girlfriend both work for the government in different capacities. Acceptance of gifts while in your work gear is forbidden for actions in your work gear. The article said he was in gear expecially by the way the civilians referred to him in the story. I hope he doesn't get screwed over
@@Zedeezia That's not true. Usually they can accept gifts up to a certain amount. That's why they split up the amounts and made them from different people. They know the rules on gift giving.
What a great mother! and she seems to have done a very good job with her boy. Thank you officer your a credit to your profession
We need more stories like this. I was smiling all the way till the end of the vid.
This story is stolen. They took a black male to act as the officer. The original is different but you can find it here on yt. This video here is just propaganda.
This is the America I believe in! Great people who aren’t afraid of each other. I wish we could get there someday.
Right? I loved this. There wasn't a SINGLE mention of race through the entire thing because race was totally irrelevant. They're fellow Americans or citizens. That's what's important.
@@The88Cheat more important, they are humans.
@Angelsbobbi
"people who aren't afraid of each other"
Right, that's why there's an armed officer at a school. Makes perfect sense.
Great story. That man has a great heart, and is a blessing to his community. Thanks for this uplifting story.
Just so, so, SO great. It’s the accumulation of just the tiniest courtesies that bridge gaps. Right on to the Officer, the TV news crew and Mom and her son. Let’s all be on the lookout for ways we can contribute as this officer so graciously did!
What a great man and police - officer! He is the best example those kids (and all of us) could have! ❤️🇧🇻
This is one of the few police videos that quite literally brought tears to my eyes. Well done, good and faithful servant!!!
Alllllllllllllllllllllllll that was SO NICE!!!!! 👍🏾 GREAT GUY! His wife is a lucky woman❤️
Definitely a feel good story! 😊
That a nice cop. Congratulations on the good job you do. We need more like you.
What a heart warming story! We need to hear more of these. Very inspirational!
ahhhh, a human helping a human, LOVE to see it! hope this police officer is still serving his community in great ways such as he did for that young man, and I hope that young man is still serving the community at that restaurant. great story!
Congratulations On Your Job Youngman and Thank You Officer For Your Kindness ❤
Wonderful! So good to see people being good to each other. Bless you, Officer Lewis.
Such a heartwarming story, nice one officer 👍🏻😊
What a great story. In a world where there seems to be much anger and sadness every where, it's nice hear a good happy story. Well done to both of them.
Good on this officer. I learned when I was a kid.
Then, in Marine bootcamp, we were also instructed on how to tie a tie and the difference between a full Windsor, and a half Windsor.
USMC 1986 - 1994
He should show more police how to be a good guy and a hero.
If only someone could show the 100's of 1000's of criminals that cops deal with daily to be good guys and heroes.
Why point out that the tie wasn’t done perfectly? Anyways I like stories like this; warms the heart.
What a wonderful officer, who has all the honorable attributes of a noble police officer! I know the young man Drew will never forget his kindness and I wish all the best for both young men and their families! God bless! I wish we could see more uplifting and positive news like this all the time! 😊🙏🏾
Jesus. We need so many more like that officer everywhere. What a good man.
I noticed that there happened to be a few Debbie Downer on here who don't appreciate the kindness of this police officer and were just waiting to put a negative spin on a positive story, thankfully you are in the minority and the majority of us appreciate the kindness of this police officer! And the fact that it's on UA-cam, well, you are on UA-cam watching it so keep your negative responses and negative attitudes to yourself, the majority of us appreciate a feel-good story during this difficult time in the United States!
Yes Satan never sleeps, sadly😮
This is the kind of story that needs to be told! With all the nonsense that's going on in the world, it's nice to see a light of hope. Thank you showing us there are still genuine people and role models left in this world!
That's a good man there!!
We need more people like the officer. There are GOOD PEOPLE OUT THERE.JUST OPEN YOUR EYES.
What an awesome story!!!
Great story! As a HS teacher, I tied lots of ties for grade 12s attending their grad ceremonies.
Still, someone should introduce Drew and his Mom to the Internet.
I thought the same thing. Watching this video on youtube, the same youtube that i learned how to tie a multitude of forms of ties from. In the time they messages and asked orhers they simple could of pulled up a video or website to show them how step by step.
Still though kudos to the officer.
Agreed.
Defund the police is a terrible slogan. What they mean is the budget of the force needs to have less arms and more actual resources for mental health calls, etc etc. defund is such a shit slogan for it tho
SO BEAUTIFULLY SAID, and AMEN🙏 Thank-you you ❤️
Agree completely.
Now that's a top notch cop and awesome human being!
Good honest police officer who can teach others how to communicate with any citizen of today’s world. We need more of leadership in public uniform like him.
Thanks officer for being a voice for students of today’s future.
Very good service sir !!!
Great job brother
Thanks
Thanks
What a kind police man ❤️ and Drew got the job 🤗 ain't GOD good
Actual kindness, yes please more instead of chaos
The VAST majority of our Police Officers are really good and courageous people. It is so good to see them appreciated. You can tell by this Officer's humble smile that we are lucky to have him as one of our public servants.
Awwwww- that’s so sweet!!! I had the same issue and I just UA-cam it 👌🏾
Lol smh
I am SO in favor of our young men and women dressing with a sense of class and individual style! I'm proud of this officer's timely input that landed this young man a good job. I myself give ties and jackets away to young men, and nice hats and purses to young women, in hopes that they will begin a new chapter in their lives and set a new pace for their peers. It is amazing to me how many of them are actually wanting to dress better, but do not have the role models in their families these days like I did. Good job, officer. Let's change things.
