I love how Newfie, the non-Newfie, just leans in to his wash and blow out. I wish more dogs realized how amazing it feels to go to the salon. 😊
So you've been "groomed" to know how it feels. That's pretty cool 😮😮
I used to feel bad taking my dog to the groomer. Until they told me how she would fall asleep as they washed her.
Newfie is in a state of pure joy during the blowout.
Yes, I love seeing him enjoying the air 😊
The leg kicks too. My dog only does that when we find The Scritching Spot. Having all that itch taken off probably feels incredible.
That said, it's not really a matter of the dog realizing it's good, it's on the owners to teach them. Like she says in the video, you have to socialize them to it. Newfie knows he's gonna get treats, scritchies, and feel better afterwards. Someone went to a lot of effort to accustom him to strangers, water, and loud noises (blow dryer). He's not scared because he's used to it and knows good things will happen too.
Newfie's owner deserves a freakin medal for how well behaved he is. But I do admit, it was pretty funny seeing him lean into the drier. He really seemed to like that.
Probably because of itching
Can confirm as a dog owner. That scratching motion says it all, mine does the same when you scratch his favorite spot.
Yeah. I know a guy with 2. You dont go near them, they will eat you. Either him or his wife need to call the dogs Over and then go to you, after that they're fine with you being there but if you just show up they will attack. Normally they're out in the field with his animals but if they are by the house you need an escort
@@theayatollahofrockandrollah every medal is a freakin medal if you get the medal and you freak it
I dunno..he seemed to not enjoy it to me...
Hello. My daughter was a huge fan of yours. She died two weeks ago. In her last year of life you brought her countless hours of joy watching you take care of the fur babies. She watched some of the clips over and over! Thank you for making her end-of-life easier to bare! Love to you from an old hippie with cats in the desert.💋💖💋💖🌵🌵👵🐺🖖
I'm so sorry for your loss. Your daughter sounds lovely. ❤
Also, so sorry 4 the loss of your daughter. My prayers 4 yr comfort and peace....❤
I’m so very sorry, I’m praying for you and yours.
Sorry for your loss ❤️ You and your daughter sound like lovely people
So glad she had this wholesome content to distract from her struggle. I hope your kitties are helping you through this difficult time.
I really just adore Newfie's mildly confused expression when you offered him the treats. That was very much the face of "Huh? Okay, I guess, sure, why not?" Clearly not a very food-oriented dog, but also not going to pass it up when offered.
Not all breeds are people pleasers, like say Labs are. You still get food hounds among all brds but guardian breeds like most Mastiff/ Molosser brds and like Caucasians, their reward is often in making sure you are protected and some, I swear, are concerned w ur happiness & state of well being. Food is always helpful when training new behaviors or rewarding stressful activities but it's more abt figuring out what the dog's purpose is, that's what keeps them from getting bored & not just listening bc they expect treats. You'd don't want a giant dog that's trained you into giving them food or they won't listen to you & behave. A treat is just that, a treat. A job is esp important for any breed that's a member of the Working class, which inc most guardian brds like the Caucasian. It doesn't always have to be a 'job' like doing rescue work or working w the army or police. Some dogs see protecting their family as their job which is why socializing is so important. You have to teach not all strangers are bad & how to rely on your body language & signals for cues. At the best of times, it's a very interdependent relationship. I've had a dog like this & it's truly life changing
@@kushiellee Of course not every breed is inclined to be food-oriented. However, my comment was more on the hilarious look on his face when offered the treats, because he seemed outright befuddled at their presence. He wasn't outright rejecting the treats due to stress from the groom, as some dogs have, but rather seems genuinely confused at the idea that these are for him. He's also remarkably polite about how he takes them, in comparison to many large breed dogs who will messily snarf them up, leaving one with a handful of slobber as thanks. It was a cute reaction, that's all.
Newfie turned into floofie during the blow dry! The furnado was off the scale!
no wonder they call these sheepdogs, this one is clearly atleast half-sheep
Definitely gets the Best Boy award though .....what a temperament
More like a fur-splosion, honestly!
A new #1 for her top ten furnados 😂
In her place, I think I would day dream about surrounding myself with plastic sheeting ( like Visqueen) to contain the furnado.
So cute how he braces himself against the "wind" and then leans into it haha. Sooo adorable!
He loves it
"when threatened - they turn into a ferocious force of nature"
*slow motion closeup of newfie looking absolutely harmless and adorable* 🤣🥰
When i was a kid i lived in that region they come from and a friend of mine had that breed but the mountain type. That dog was huge,i was scared shitless every time i went to visit them,he didn't like strangers, more so thieves who learned pretty quickly that their house was out of limit.
they might be the most dangerous dog breed in the world.
@@cimjohansson4878 Fila Brasileiro: Hold my bone
The biggest CS's (or CO's) can exceed 200 pounds or 90 kilograms. When threatened, they are ferocious power houses, and they could absolutely kill someone.
@@ajho415 Fila Brasileiro are honestly nothing to CS's, as stated in my previous comment not only are CS's quite a lot heavier on average, they are much stronger and have one of the hardest bites in the dog kingdom. They also have a lot of protection as they have a double coat of fur, making actually doing any damage to them very difficult. They were used by the Russians as prison dogs and they have be known to fight off black bears and scare even brown bears away, as well as fight wolves.
What a well behaved boy. He seems like a kind, sweet soul. His owner has obviously shown him a lot of love, attention and socialization.
I didn’t even know there are types of Caucasian Shepherd. Now I know! 😊
And naming a Caucasian Shepherd “Newfie” is giggle-worthy adorable! 😘
Looks at this big adorable baby
My dad named him he is from newfoundland
@@faithtye2094 can you give him lots of hugs and kisses and tell him he’s such a good boy please? And adorable and handsome too! And thank you and to your dad so much for sharing him with us, the viewers! 😊
This is Caucasian OVCHARKA. Another type is the 'ALABAIS' that also comes from the Caucasian region and they're just slightly less in weight but in the same heavy weight class as OVCHARKAS.
@@timothychung4811Alabai is a total different breed originating in Central Asia
I get a kick out of how much he loves the blow dryer. That look of “oh ya right there”.
Such a well mannered boy. His people definitely deserve your commendation for socializing him so well and how many treats does he deserve?…How many do you have? 😂
Kudos to the owner for a well mannerd dog. My Caucasian is 16 months and an absolute doll in public, and I can tell you it was a LOT of work
My sister rescued an ovcharka puppy. He ws the eighteenth one ever to be in the US, and so little was known about him here at that time. Imagine her surprise when he grew into a monster! His shepherding instincts never left him - whenever I wore a poncho that I had handspun and handwoven, if though the yarn had been thoroughly washed many times as well as dyed, he somehow thought I was a sheep, and would try to herd me! Ultimately, my sister had to give him away - to a farm in the midwest where the owner had several, because this dog was not cut out for city life. Plus my sister was battling terminal cancer. But the first time her husband tried to bring him to the airport, he had to bring him home again - because the airline did not have a cage large enough! He ultimately had to fly to a different city on a different airline. He went on to live a good life on the farm.
Props to Newfie’s owner for doing a phenomenal job socializing and training him, if you’re gonna go with a breed like this you better be a responsible person.
Wrong. The only way to balance out these dogs is to also have a Labrador with them growing up. The Labrador energy will balance out the Sheppy energy. Thus turning into an indifferent dog full of apathy and nothingness. Immovable force meets unstoppable obje.... wait, unnatural object meats restrictable mass... wait - you get the picture. You need at least 3 labradors to every six golden retrievers
You also need to lift; before they're finished with training, during their puppy days, they WILL pull at the leash, and between that and your Ovcharka wanting hugs, gym time is more important than one might think~😅😂
@alexisgrunden1556 .Newfie is trained to walk at my side he dose not pull
@@faithtye2094you did a super job with this boy
@@faithtye2094 That's not true, faith. I have been watching your Newfie and he definitely pulls.
I love when he got that "Oh that feels so good" look on his face. What a great dog! Merry Christmas and thank you for all your wonderful videos.
Oh Yes, oh Yes, you have hit the Spot Vanessa. ❤❤❤
Yes😂😂
Newfie was shining like a copper pot when you finished grooming him. He was extremely relaxed and you did a magnificent job.
Newfie's owners - thank you for taking such good care of him!! He is the goodest boy!!
He's so calm it's crazy
How do you know you didn’t even watch
@seajay2157 did you watch it? 🤔🤔🤔
@@seajay2157
Wow, another YT expert!😂
@@seajay2157 Come on guys everybody be nice! It's a puppy video, come on now!
He isn't calm 😂. The panting is usually high stress .
omg Newfie is *so* well trained and behaved. He even stands back up when told which is something most people don't think to teach. What a good beautiful boy.
He was so well behaved and looked amazing afterwards! Kudos to his owner for socializing him well.
He is a gorgeous big boy and that head tilt at the end was adorable ❤
My neighbors had a Caucasian shepherd and he was huge and gorgeous! The first time I met him I had just gotten home and had the door of my car open but was leaned over gathering up my things from the passenger seat when all of a sudden there was a huge dog head in my lap! It was terrifying! 😂 But he was so sweet and so friendly.
Aggressively friendly!
So he pinned you to the ground and covered you with slobber?
your behind on your pets and ear scritches tax..I'll collect it right now please. 😁
Wow! Phenomenal character!!! And the fluff explosion, that he seemed to enjoy as much as we did, was impressive!!! Congrats to the owners!!! Newfie was a sweetheart 😍
If you don't mind I'll steal the phrase fluff explosion... never heard of it before
How beautifully behaved Newfie is, a credit to his owners….such a gorgeous fluffy boy 🥰
I knew someone who had one and it turned upon him and almost took his arm off! It was a miracle that he survived!
AS DANGEROUS AS IT IS HUGE
Given his expression of "Oh yes" during the blower stage. he must have been massively itchy and the blower must have been heaven to rid himself of the old fluff
What a sweetheart. Owners have done a great job socializing him. Newfie - Too funny! We adopted an pure bred American Eskimo from our local pound. He even came his registration papers. Get this, his name was “Akita.” 🤣
I love the way he wants to scratch when you hit the spot with the dryer.
Thank you for another great post. ❤️🐶
What a gorgeous floof! 🖤
Well done to you, and owners!! 🖤🖤🖤
This is the most zen, laid back, and agreeable Caucasian shepherd I've ever seen lol. He let you do everything to him! You hosed his face and he was legit just "this is fine" about it. Newfie's owner is absolutely fantastic, a standard we should all aspire to lol.
I'm in awe of the job the owner's done.
I have a CO and he is muzzled to whole time at the groomers. He goes twice a year since he was 4 months old. He hates water but loves the groomer
I just LOVE his "you hit that spot" rear leg action. What a well-mannered pup!
''lemme help you hooman, you forgot to hit a spot''
These videos bring me so much joy.
Oh my God, he looked amazing at the end. Great job 👏
Newfie's one of my favorite dogs that you've had on your channel. He's such a good, big, handsome boy, and you're right, his owner deserves kudos for preparing Newfie to be in potentially uncomfortable situations.
AMAZING before and after! Also, I have a standard poodle so I had no reason to try the equi groomer on her; however, I have a rabbit and she sheds profusely so I got the smaller version of the equi groomer for her. And wow, does it make a difference! She runs to me when she sees me bring out the brush because it feels like a massage. It works better than any other brush on her fur. Thank you for introducing us to it!
I have 2 greyhounds and have a groomi which is the same type of desheding comb. I think it was designed for horses, but I stumbled on it from other greyhound owners. These equigroomer type tools are the absolute best for loads of animals. It never ceases to amaze me how much fur my boys lose at the end of winter. Works on the car upholstery too...
I use my small equi groomer on the cat and on my great pyr mix’s legs and boy does it get the fur out.
What a beautiful, lovley Boy. Good Job!!!
Newbie was a star and so are you! Wishing you a wonderful Christmas. ❤
I just love how Newfie stayed calm throughout the bath and the blowout. The furnado from his blowout was EPIC!.
Regardless of dog/cat, breed, size, temperament, etc... I giggle when the Happy Hoodie goes on 😂
I think Newfie was the most enjoyable dog groom I've ever seen! Loved every minute of it!💕💕
a beautiful dog! And so nice to see how calm and behaving he is!
Newfie is amazing! I have never seen a caucasian shepherd so well-behaved. And he is so cute! Now I think his name suits him perfectly.
So glad this boy still has all of his ears…. I know there are working reasons why ears get cropped, though it still looks unpleasant. God help anyone who attempts to break into his home!
I just commented the same. His natural ears are beautiful. First time I've seen natural ears on this breed. He's a beautiful colouring.
Yea however if you have them for actual life guardian worm in areas with wolfs I can definitely understand chopped ears so it can’t be bitten.
What a cute dog and so cooperative too
Beautiful Work!!
We had a beautiful GSD for almost 12 years. She loved it when I sat with her and gently pulled out her loose fur before brushing her. It was very relaxing ❤️
What a sweet love! Beautiful! ❤️❤️❤️
He’s very expressive with his eyebrows ☺️
How did you know you didn't even watch

I absolutely love you!! Somehow I found your videos. They all make me smile🐾
Such a handsome boy!! Good job to both of you!
He’s a big bear. That’s why 🥹
Five years old - he is still practically a baby (though not in dog years, I know). He still has that puppy and docile look in his eyes.
Loved the slow-mo action on the air drying.
So wonderful! What a precious animal. Great job too!! 🐾🐾
Perhaps the most gorgeous dog, ever.
Such a beautiful dog and what a sweet boy! No sass, no aggression. He just like sat there with the happy hoodie on like he fully accepted his fate
With good cheer, too! Some dogs have a defeated "Well, I guess this is a thing that is happening" air about them, but Newfie was happy to hoover up treats and obey!
... I originally wrote "Newfie was happie". Sigh. Autocarrot, where are you when I need you?
What a gorgeous dog, so well-behaved and the groom was impressive! Well done, owners and Vanessa! 👏 I was amazed you weren't instinctively ducking from the large clumps of fur hitting your beekeeper's hat. 😂💖
You are an angel for these dogs! ❤
Absolutely gorgeous remarkable grooming service!!! You are a very brave woman. Those dogs are no joke
Bless you Vanessa for being so considerate and aiming the drier at the itchy bits Newfie was trying to scratch. A beautiful transformation this. What a good boi!
Beautiful well tempered brute who… leans into the blow dryer. Got to love him.
you, and your channel, is a ray of sunshine!
thanks for bright my day.
He looks great. You do a really good job. 😊
Deadly to anyone NOT part of the family.....loyal protective to those hes a part of 😊..,..i think this breed is just MAGNIFICENT 🥰
I was not expecting Vanessa to say he's a steppe grass type! He looks plenty big in the fur and mass department to me!
What a sweet boy, though. He loved that dryer. ❤
I was thinking the same thing! I was sure he was going to be of the mountain variety!
Same here! I can’t imagine how furry and massive the mountain type would be!
Vanessa groomed a mountain-type on her 2nd channel. His name is Dodge and he's a good boy.
@@CricketsBay I'll have to check that out!
Beautiful pup
You make this very very good. The Dog is so relaxed and look absolutely not stressed.
He loved those head scritches at 1:00. ❤ And leaning into the blower too!!!
Yes!!! I loved his sweet expression of pure pleasure!
I enjoy the combination of grooming tips, breed related info, and the occasional visits of "favorite clients".
He looks like he's enjoying that pampered
Holy hair!! Soooo much work but so beautiful and that docile personality is amazing, thanks for sharing. Love him
Cause it’s cute?
He’s just adorable!!
That's crazy that Newfie is the less fluffy type! Amazing job as always!
He's adorable! 💖
Fantastic work! You are an exceptionally great groomer!
What a well raised dog! Well done to his owners, they really did a good job. He also clearly enjoyed his grooming session.
Newfie is SO loving that undercoat blowout and leaning into the air hose. It's so nice to see a dog so acclimated to grooming that enjoy it like a spa day and not like non-elective surgery day.
What a lovely dog
What a beauty!!!
Chillest dog award?
God bless you for what you do.❤
Just saw that a $@#% in Australia threw another dog off of a roof. I get so disgusted.
What people like you do lifts my heart.
Who did what????
Yes it was horrific and then she and the dog killed rather than pay the vet bills

Yea he was amazing. And he came out amazing as well.
I love the new logo! Newfie was adorable throughout the whole process
A powerful and adorable dog!😊
This is the first dog I’ve seen who looks dignified in a happy hoodie. What a wonderful boy. 🇨🇦💕
OMG, that much fur in the air would make me sneeze a lot. But i do like how well behaved he is Newfie deserves a lot of treats.
Such a luv!!!! Newfie deserves all the treats!!!
Loved his leg kick during the blow dry hahah, he leant into everything like he was getting a massage
It's an absolute treat to watch your grooming skills and working with different breeds❤️
What a massive hunker of pure adorableness. Great dog
What a beautiful and well. ehaved dog! Love it
When she said there are 2 types: Mountain Type (Long coat - Bigger Body Mass) and Steppe Grassland Type (Shorter coated - Ligher Body Mass)
I honestly thought this was a Mountain Type... Had to laugh when she revealed he's a Grassland Type
A big cuddle buddy on cold nights ❤
What a lovely well behaved boy he is. I am amazed at how much he malts. I wonder is that a seasonal thing or normal. thank you for sharing with us your amazing work xxx
Great job on Newfie. I think he might have been enjoying that drying process. Well mannered dog.
One word description of Newfie, Wonderful.
What a sweet, well behaved doggo!
What a beautiful and well-behaved doggo, and an epic blowout!
Gosh he is so beautiful! 🥰
You always do such a great job! ❤ definitely picked the right field of work ❤
Oh, I really want a cuddle session with Newfie❤
I think that might be the biggest furnado that we’ve seen on this channel

Such beautiful markings after grooming. Couldn't see it before.
