Woodpeckers latest OneTIME Tool takes a century-old machinist's tool and updates it for use in the modern woodworker's shop. For around a hundred years, machinists have relied on a device similar to our new Angle-Depth Gauge to measure small holes and grooves. We took the fundamental design, use woodworker-friendly graduations (32nds on one side and mm on the other), machined a notch in the end of the rule for parallel scribing and carefully milled the groove in the head so it always returns the rule perfectly square after using it for an angle. Use it to measure the depth of grooves and holes, to lay out angles, as a small T-square, for parallel scribing and as an accurate, compact rule. All this in a tool you'll barely notice in your shirt pocket. - Навчання та стиль
Thank you Jeff
I have a “century old” one I got from my dad. They are a very handy little tool.
Thats a pretty slick little tool!
great
Now, i need it and they don't have it. I don't want the cheap questionably accurate stuff off amazon.
Where is the 1281 in stainless steel?
Come on now woodpeckers, don't deny me the pleasure of asking if it comes in metric.
U couldn't have watched the video
@@smartmovepromotions LOL, either that or we have an attention span/comprehension issue.
@@smartmovepromotions What do you mean? I did watch it, what don't you get about my comment?
@@Baziellliterally at 1:26 it answers your question!
@@fingersmicke8856 Maybe you should actually read my original comment carefully.
How many of first born children does it cost?
Probably just one unlike the Router circle template tool that I just received. At least you really do get what you pay for.
A tri-square will do the same thing
I'm sure it's a great tool, but $60 for it? Pass.
Cmon, you knew this wasn’t going to be cheap before you even saw the price.
@@AaronGeller He knew it wasn't going to be cheap before he clicked the thumbnail.
You could go spend $115 or more on a Starrett depth/angle gauge that would have the same accuracy, however that one is made of steel.
@@Stratomacaster He knew it wasn't going to be cheap before he read the email. I do like Woodpeckers tools, but man their shipping often kills smaller tools like this.
@@Stratomacaster Huh, I didn't know about the taxing the shipping charge. That's not cool. Shipping for this product in particular is $11.13. That's too much for a small item like this.
Don’t waste your money on these overpriced aluminum tools when you can buy solid steel quality, precision, machinist tools for a fraction of the price. I’m a big believer in quality tools but you guys are raping people on with these prices come down to earth.
I'm not a machinist but I tried to find a machinist tool that I thought was nicely suited to all the tasks for which I would use this Woodpeckers angle/depth gauge. I just may not know where to look but I couldn't find one. I could find any number of depth gauges but I'd generally not like them as well for woodworking and the prices were higher.
That doesn't mean I'm going to get that item. I just don't currently think it is worth the cost for my purposes.
