Good video. Really like the break down. I like that the regulator is up front. That makes it interesting plus. How do you feel about the strength of the handle? I work out of various trucks and will have to move it by the handle if I get one.
Thank you! Thats a great question actually! I like it because it’s aluminum whereas most machines (especially at this price point) have plastic handles that feel like they will crack eventually. The compact size of this one, its light weight, 110/220 capability, and the aluminum handle make it ideal for a mobile unit! Thanks so much for watching!

Maybe I missed it, but how large of a compressor did you use? CFM/HP?
My 60g, 175psi, 14.6cfm compressor is technically overkill for a hand run plasma cutter like this, though I believe there’s no such thing as too big of a compressor. But to be honest, how big of a compressor you need comes down to how long you plan on cutting. A hand cutter such as this can EASILY get away with a much smaller compressor if your making single cuts in material at a time. However if you are running a CNC table that cuts for several minutes straight, a minimum of 60g would be necessary.
Thanks for the review. When you are wearing your welding helmet you are hard to hear so I turn up the volume,then the music comes on! Maybe when editing you should adjust your volume so its a little more even. Other than that great video!
What happened was when using the plasma cutter, the air comes on and its lowers the camera volume automatically. Cant change it. What I need to start doing is wearing a mic. Thanks for watching!
I agree 100% I had to force myself to keep watching you and the machine The video and content is just fine. There is NO need for the generic Mastodon blasting in the background or foreground. IMHO, music on the intro and then exit is all that is needed. The rest relies on content and editing and that part is good
@superdog1964 While I appreciate the partial kind words, the unfortunate reality is the human brain when watching TV has an attention span of just under 5 seconds. Thats why if you ever watch a regular automotive tv show, say Iron Resurrection or Gas Monkey, there’s music in almost every scene, you’ll also notice they cut to a new scene every 2-3 seconds. You just loose viewers if not. If thats not you - thats fantastic! However you’re in the vast minority of people who can sit through a 20 minute video of just some dude talking. Be proud! Thats an abnormal attention span!

Constructive Criticism: background music is INCREDIBLY annoying towards your 'review'...
Music in general, the style of music, or the volume?
@@intheshoptv I LOVE all kinds of music so it’s definitely not that! @3:10 when you start discussing the Bestarc, the background music overlay is highly distracting to viewing said explanations of the product. It’s not good video production having dual ‘inputs’ when your audience is trying to concentrate on your verbose wording. Next, when you start actually plasma cutting @7:35, your music ‘audio’ jumps out at a higher range/volume and blasts you and then you cut it back out when you talk and then it’s blasted on again when cutting. It’s just obtrusive/obnoxious for presentation. There’s a time and place for everything and your music has a place here, truly. 1) NOT so overlaid it detracts from instruction and 2) imbalances in your sound profile makes the viewer have to turn down your video because it’s imbalanced to the previous voice level audio you portrayed. Trust me, I love music that’s why I started with ‘constructive criticism’. I believe your video is entertaining but it’s very imbalanced with those couple of things. Watch your metrics, you’ll see. I appreciate what you had to share as I own the previous version of this Bestarc so I’m not unfamiliar with it. But to the NEWER person seeking to inquire, that’s your audience you need to be mindful of when profiling or producing these review vids. Hope that helps. Sincerely.
@@AXNJXN1Its so interesting reading different opinions from different individuals. In a recent video, someone went out of their way to compliment the audio editing. Well.. I try to get just a little better with each video. Maybe one day I’ll be a pro at it.
@@intheshoptv You’re right! It’s a never ending guess battle. No matter what, I hope you enjoy the Bestarc as much as I do! Your air ratio to amperage seems spot on even to my older one which is why I like it. It performs very well IMO and though I don’t cut 1/2” again, you know it can. A very capable plasma machine hands down. Cheers.
