If you get a settlement attacking siren and connect a firework mortar with an emergency signal flare in it you can turn on the siren and have the flare go up and the minute men will help defend the settlment
Flywheel09 I love this idea. I've done it before but i attach the sirens to city power gates as well using an xor logic gate so sirens go on every city gate closes. I even one set it up so the second a guard hits that siren every shop door closes as well as the city gates.
Flywheel09 i use the garage door power doors because they are large enough for brahmin, all others cause traffic jams. Just cover up the corrugated metal worth what ever matches you walls. It wooks great! Could also attach red and green cycle lights so the red one turns on when the gate closes and green one turns on when outs open
Took me like 3 hours but on the final part of the gun rack display I finally got it and I dare say you are the most underrated Fallout Content UA-camr out there
Skooled Zone, Using the pillar glitch you are teaching us, I discovered a way to sink the razorgrain so that it's not floating in the air. The trick is to fill the planters up with as much of it as is possible, place a pillar piece next to it, and use the pillar glitch to sink the planter into the ground and the razorgrain will sink with the planter. I prefer using the ones found in the Miscellaneous sections of the Barn and Warehouse tabs but any piece that is capable of the pillar glitch can be used. Thank you for the No Mods Shop Class videos. They really do help and have encouraged me to do a fresh game with a minimal amount of building mods; so no mods like Place In Red as they only enable for the player the tools that you are teaching us. As the saying goes "Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day, but teach a man to fish and you feed him for a lifetime." Thanks for teaching us to fish. Sincerely, Jennifer M. Montgomery
Love that analogy about fishing! Also great idea about the razorgrain. You could probably create low hedgerows using that method, which might look nice around the edge of a house.
I love these videos you do. I'm a really big fallout 4 guy but I've never really gotten into settlement building I'd just put the necessities and move on, but watching these videos I'm actually learning a whole lot of stuff I could do when building. I just want to say that you have broadened my mind about settlement building I will surely use these techniques and try to dive into settlement building. Thanks skooled zone
11:31 - I never would have thought that letter would be enough to make a difference. You're astonishingly creative and you are so skilled with the game's mechanics... I'm thinking that, at this point, it's like you're in the Matrix, and you're just able to see the raw code. ;)
Everytime I start to get bored with Fallout 4, I see one of your videos and learn something new and get excited again to try those tricks out! Thank you! Such creativity and really spices up the game without having to use mods.
When you pressed that button and the weapons appeared. You made my fucking jaw dropp. You got yourself another subb and I am so stealing that for my raider sanctuary build my good man!
These videos are so helpful for learning how to use all the workshop stuff that looks interesting but you dont know what to do with, I'm definitely gonna start using cycling lights in my builds now
Love the gun rack! I'll make a similar feature at my Jamaica Plain (when I get it again). I just bought the two Workshop DLCs, have been happily upgrading my Settlements at Hangman's Alley and Sanctuary. Now I have the tools for your techniques, I'm free to design far more intricate builds. The Wire Glitch alone has been a tremendous aid, and though I know you didn't originate it, I only found out about it through your channel, so I really must thank you again for all your efforts to teach us newbies the ropes! Uh, wires! And rugs! Pillars!
Going back to Fallout after a couple years without playing, these vids have been so helpful reminding me how to do building glitches and cleaner builds. All that knowledge just leaked out of my darn brain. 😂
Great vidoe and can't wait to use this on my own building I've been working on. It's starting to come together and all these helpful hints are helping.
I like to sink those blue switches into the walls too. The conduit part of them is so ugly. I've noticed that the switches are often too "hard" and don't like to glitch in all the time. One method that often helps is to stick the switch on one of the pegboard style gun racks and then "pillar glitch" the pegboard into the wall. Pegboard is really soft and squishy and the switches collision is ignored completely as the pegboard acts like a rug. To do this you will need to use two pegboards one above the other and the switch will attach to the top one (it doesn't like attaching to a single pegboard). Once it's attached you can delete the bottom rack before "pillar glitching" the switch into position. A second method for really stubborn placement is to place a wooden power pylon on a rug, attach a Vault Tec poster to the pylon, then attach the switch to the poster. Now the whole thing can be "rugged" into virtually anywhere.
Those are stellar tips Sheck. The only problem I run into sometimes doing things similar to that is when I remove the underlying rug it gets rid of the wire or sometimes the whole switch because it's considered a clamped item.
Yes I neglected to mention that. If you remove the rug you get the "clamped items were removed" message and only the wood pylon remains. If the ground is sinkable you can use the rug/pillar combo glitch to bury the rug or you can always hide it with a crate or other decorative item. Usually the pegboard works well. I save the second method for tricky situations.
So cool! Once again, I'm learning so much. I even learned some things that were unintentional, like I didn't know that you could manly change the color to the colored lights. I always thought you had to use the computer monitor change the color. Still watching. Keep up the good work.
That's awesome you're learning unintentional things. Funny thing is, I learned about the cycling light in reverse. I didn't know their colors could be changed with a terminal until a few months later. LOL.
The thing is, if you change the colour via a terminal, it changes all the lights connected to the same power network to the same colour, which may or may not be what you want. To have different colours on different lights, you have to change them manually. A thing I like to do, speaking of lights, is to place a coloured light on the wall, preferrably the traffic light which cycles automatically through red, yellow and green. I then rug-glitch one of those computer consoles that came with the Vault Tec DLC to cover the light fixture. That way, it looks as if it is something inside the computer that shifts colour. Makes it seem more active, so to speak.
Especially compared to the one on the title screen that has guns tools and duct tape on them, when in fact you can put one gun on a rack, that makes them look tiny and horrible
25:07 “a little bit of patience and an eye for perfection works” I’ve spent countless hours trying to fit non-snappable doors and walls to foundations all for 3-4 perfecting fitting walls
Skooled Zone, That makeshift chalkboard idea inspired me to suggest that you should add neon to it as a substitute for chalk. Keep up the good work and showcasing everything we can do with just the basics in the build mode. It really helps a lot. Sincerely, Jennifer M. Montgomery
Dude, I had to laugh when I saw your ramp up the dumpster. I put the same ramp in exactly the same spot. I really enjoy these videos. I do a lot of the same things you do with the rug glitch using the TCL console command on PC. I'm not exactly a no-mods guy though, I have Ladybird, and the Alien Assault rifle which is freakin killer compared to the vanilla Alien Blaster. I have mods to scrap and place dry grass and mounds of dirt, and all the homes and foundations in Sanctuary Hills except the Player's home. I'm on maybe my sixth or seventh run through, I'm completely abandoning the story to build the Sanctuary of the Desolate Future. I have mods for a clean Murkwater Construction sight, mods to make the egg mounds at the Castle scrappable as well as the transmitter shack and all the vines and weeds. mods to make the concrete structures snap in more different ways. In Previous run throughs I planted many new workbenches in new locations, I've built several bases, sniper towers and vacation homes in the glowing sea. My current Sanctuary project will have: one room apartments for all settlers with a chair, bed, locker, cabinet, dresser, TV, ceiling fan and two abstract paintings, fully decked out shops, a jail with rehabilitation apartments on the 2nd floor which I did in my last walkthrough, I placed Mama Murphey in her chair on the front porch of the rehab apartments with thirty cat food bowls around and about fifteen cat traps. I just kept loading her up with pet cats until it was hilarious. In addition to most of nice bathrooms and apartments and common kitchen areas, I have indoor shooting ranges, fully caged safe swimming areas, a sweet fishing pier, Saunas, a Chapel, outdoor prisoner cages, indoor jail cells, smoker rooms to cure the wild meats of the wasteland, perfectly integrated overhead doors in concrete buildings, and in my last runthrough I had lots of brahmin, and just to be sure they could find their food I had a neon sign with arrows pointing at the feed trough; "BRAHMIN NOODLES" and another one I thought was funny over a bathtub; "FEED WATER" So theres no question what that means, everyone needs feed water lol. My current Sanctuary settlement has a concrete wall around 100% of the perimeter and a narrow corridor built into it with various access points around the compound, a half indoor basketball court/gymnasium with a cage roof, spectator bleachers on 3 levels, and a mens and a women's locker room. I'm like the evil version of you, using a bucketload of mods and cheats to build totally unrealistic compounds that are so cool it doesn't matter lol this Sanctuary I'm building I took out everything, grass, bushes, the road and the loop around the big tree and all the homes except the player home and the workshop home, and floored in half of the settlement so now those two homes are indoors, I kept the big tree but am able to delete it if I desire. the Tree is now in a courtyard. It's basically Sim City at this point LOL. I have gotten great ideas from your videos and I watch them pretty much every day to get amped up to dive into my own crazy constructions. The run through I did with Jamaica Plains and that ramp, I completely fixed the half demolished brick building similar to yours, and built a structure that is two concrete floors for crafting, cooking playing pool etc, a third floor made of barn parts that is quite large and extends over the repaired brick building with lots of pillar beams holding that floor up, all the apartments are on the barn floor and the 4th floor is completely a greenhouse that covers the whole compound with raised beds made out of the basic wood structures ceiling/floor pieces with garden plots placed on top. I should learn how to do videos lol, and do "The Completely Unrealistic Fallout 4 Zone" lol My settlers enjoy all the amenities and never have to worry about stray bullets or nefarious intruders.
If you use the fish rack from the far harbor dlc and a backwards painting, then you can make a chalk board that doesnt have to be on the wall using the posters. You can also make some nice dividers using the rack and reverse paintings as well.
I followed your instructions but I did the Wi-Fi glitch and I made an invisible wire for a switch and I made an invisible wire to the firework motor both connected and works with the switch but no wires
this is really cool man, i really appreciate the tutorial but MAAAAN am i just glad i have place everywhere. those pillar glitches served me well for a while but im SO over it
Dude, I just recently stumbled on your videos a couple weeks ago. Sadly I am really late to the party. But your content is without a doubt the best I have seen!
I love your content your playthroughs your tips and tricks all of it I love genuine content in my eyes I love your stuff keep doing what you're doing much love
Another awesome video, Paul! My hubby is certain to enjoy this particular idea. I always loved that original brickwork, too, but never figured out anything cool to do to it. Looking forward to advanced lessons bcuz I can tell by your excitement that the next project is gonna rock. You're downright tickled when you spoke of it. 😆 I now will have great ideas for reworking my settlements, so my mom will be entertained watching. She's a lot more technically inclined than me, so I know she'll be like "That's SO neat!" 😂 Someone in the comments mentioned a cool idea with logic gates, a siren, fireworks and an emergency flare that would be awesome to recreate, as it can shut down gates to the settlement & shops & call the Minutemen to help defend it. Actually, I think I'm merging 2 different ideas put forth on the post & a reply to it, but that's even cooler!
This is an awesome series, and I love the way you break down these tips and tricks while showing different ways to actually use them. By the way, what is the refocus technique you mentioned around 27:01?
I was watching your Finch Farm video and I'm sure you can move and scrap the original beds. Put a wooden floor piece outside then press and hold activate button on each bed and it will move. Place each bed so it's slightly on the floor piece outside then scrap the floor piece and the beds will disappear. This also works on the beds in Covenant and Abernathy Farm
Checkpoint Pete, you're right that technique works at Covenant. But it doesn't seem to work at Finch Farm. I remember trying that originally and I just tested it out again using a different group select trick and neither work. Would've been cool if it did though. Thanks for the comment.
Skooled: I’ll just add these zeros for a pixel or two to hang these lights. Me: Ha! That’ll never wo- He actually does it. Me: Oh. Wow. He really is the Bob Ross of Fallout 😱
Post Apocalyptic Bob Vila! How to make Jamaican Plain look cool. I always used it as a throwaway settlement. A place to send Preston so he can be useless in a useless settlement.
Slightly off topic: if you put a long welded or sniper barrel and a drum magazine on the "handmade rifle", it actually looks a lot like a Soviet light machine gun, the Kalashnikov RPK. I have given a few guns modded up like that to some of my settlement guards, because it makes sense for them to have a support weapon like that. Of course, the Assault Rifle in the game looks like a cross between a Vickers and an M60, so that works too, but I like the look of the AK/RPK.
That's a great idea. I think I'm going to change out weapons for a few of my settlers that I gave missile launchers to because I don't think settlers get unlimited ammo with ALL types of weapons.
...also, missile launchers and other explosive weapons can lead to those settlers actually blowing each other up. Or blowing you up, which would also be bad. They do not get unlimited ammo for all weapons, but I don't remember which are exempt. Generally speaking, I tend to go for automatic weapons for my settlers, precisely because they have unlimited ammo for most guns so the reduced damage per shot can be easily mitigated by them shooting more bullets (some enemies have pretty high damage mitigation, so it may not be quite that straight forward, but generally speaking it is). Also, when I equip my guards and scavengers I try to give them what I consider "realistic" weapons, i. e. gear that looks more or less appropriate for a village guard in the Commonwealth: pipe weapons, maybe a short automatic combat rifle (with the hardest hitting receiver I can build), because those settlers are the ones who actually walk around with their guns out. Then I give miniguns to my farmers :-D (or whatever other massive, ludicrously inappropriate weapons I can dig up) When everything is peaceful, I have a few guards with pea-shooters walking around, and some farmers complaining about sore feet. Then, when the super mutants turn up... *MORE DAKKA!!!* The radium rifles from Far Harbor are great for this, because they can easily be given an automatic receiver and even without higher tier mods they have really good base damage, including the 50 radiation damage per shot (which is *not* affected by the receiver mod). With a short barrel, stock and magazine, they look pretty small and unassuming.
All good stuff, Patrik! I don't play on survival so I don't know if it's different, but I notice settlers and provisioners don't usually die. They just get knocked down for a while. They can certainly kill the player by accident though, and visa versa.
Skooled Zone I don't play on Survival either, but it seems as if explosives are a bad idea around settlers anyway. I tend to play safe and keep the explody stuff for myself ;-)
i know this is a old video but you could have used a delayed off switch and rug glitch it into the wall then take the terminal and set both the morter and the switch to the same time then it will only fire off one and then reset itself for the next time. i did a full array of them in my castle build
I haven't watched that many of your videos but I really like you lol. You seem so positive and nice and (like some others have said) you're like the Bob Ross of Fallout 4. You've earned a sub from me!
You mentioned the "refocus" technique when using the pillar.. can you explain or send a link to the video on that? I've already used the wiring and rug gotchas you've taught.. absolutely amazing!! Thank you
I've watched almost all of the skooled zone fallout 4 building videos at this point. This is my first comment I've made. I had thought up to this point my first comment would be glowing raving reviews for how awesome you are. "The Bob Ross of Fallout building" is right, your attitude is excellent. I have thoroughly enjoyed your content and learned so much. Thank you for your effort. My man, how could you skip the most important part? You lectured us about how it would work eventually and we need to be patient, and then you cut to it being just magically done. Man, I feel like I got slapped, I wanted to see how you did it. There's no MAGIC HERE
@@SkooledZone Just how you ACTUALLY FINALLY got the front of the gun rack attached. Let me be clear, your videos are amazing and I appreciate every second you've put into the no mods shop class. I just hoped to get a laugh AND thank you. I hope it was read as a glowing raving review AND a omg I actually wanted more comment. Keep doing whatever you're doing, I'm almost caught up :)
Skooled Zone Anytime man, keep up the great work and thanks for replying. Found your channel yesterday and I've learned more in 1 hour than i did in a year of fallout 4. 👍
Great series of vids, great work. One question and 1 suggestion how can you move yellow items like candles I know you can make them but can you move them around? And the suggestion, please do a vid on a tree-house build, country crossing is a nice small settlement with a big tree in the corner. Nothing too fancy, just how you would use glitching to embed platforms into the trunk I tried to pillar/group select into the trunk but with limited success. Im sure many viewers have though about building treehouses.
I know what you mean about some of the pre-made candles. Some pre-made table lamps and boxes turn yellow too. Unfortunately, that means they're not movable and can only be scrapped. As for your treehouse idea at County Crossing, sounds fun. Challenge accepted. It might take me a while to finish it because I have a bunch of other videos on the list that need to go in order. But stay tuned!
IIRC, it was because I forgot to do this: ua-cam.com/video/D76HR039mDI/v-deo.htmlm53s ...After that I just played with the alignment for a bit and it finally fit. It took some patience but it totally works.
Yeah, I forgot to show it from the side. But you'll see it in the next video. It's not flush with the house wall but it's flush with the concrete wall. Looks just like a gun cabinet.
hey, If you have a minute, look under "Structures"-"miscellaneous" (not electrical devices oddly) and browse through there and see if you have the conduits that act as generators. I just stumbled upon them, I didn't download any mods that say they add them but it may be a mod. If by chance Bethesda added them with the update you could make excellent use of them to eliminate even 90% of your hidden wiring. But I have no way to tell if they are from a mod or from the update. . . . .
Genius idea! I have been trying to incorporate more of the DLC objects into my builds. Is anyone aware of (not a mod) a radiation detection settlement object? I was wanting to use a logic gate and clear weather shells for when the radiation comes, the firework mortar will fire off a clear weather shell automatically. Any ideas?
Great tips and advice I really enjoyed the video. My only disappointment was I couldn't see what you were doing for 2nd half of the video as it had turned to night in the game, which is ironic as you mentioned in first half of the video you wished there was a firework to change the game from night to day lol
I know you what you mean. I imagine you were probably watching on a mobile. It's easier to see on a desktop or TV. But I've since added some lights to that area for future videos.
Speakers are tricky. You have to use the terminal to make tones. Unfortunately they don't do much tbh. It was a cool idea in theory but I would've liked a clean bathtub much more, lol.
I just have to say I'm so glad I found your channel im a new fallout player/ Builder and your videos have helped so much... With that said I'm at level 30 and in kind of suck I have so many quests I've started and not finished I kind of don't really remember what's what I started the Freedom Trail but didn't finish I'm wondering if you have any advice on how to go about doing your quests in Order and what to do if you get kind of stuck like I have now I just been focusing on building up a castle settlement any tips from anyone would be great thank you so much. PS should I buy the Fallout season pass?
Hi Chrissy and welcome to the channel! Not only is the game awesome, but the whole building aspect of the game is so much fun. And if you really enjoy Fallout 4, the Season Pass is worth it imho. I have a whole trivia walkthrough series that can help you get unstuck (and you'll learn cool facts along the way too): bit.ly/fallout4walkthrough ...Be sure to pick up the Picket Fences magazines to unlock more cool settlement objects to build with: ua-cam.com/video/k4q9psEJUNE/v-deo.html ...If you have any more questions, feel free to ask.
Skooled Zone thank you for the response I will start watching those walkthrough today and I'm a huge fallout fan so I think I'm going to buy the season pass. Thank you for your channel I really enjoy your videos. Do u recommend any other games on PS4 that are like fallout or just any good games? Thanks
I'm having trouble with weapon racks I put I gun on them and it renders in minuscule size I thought it was because I was using modded weapons but I turned all my mods off and they are still tiny does anyone else have this problem(I'm on xbox one by the way)
I am trying something similar but in the second story of the bombed out home at the lighthouse. There is a door/wall frame that I want to glitch this same door and a 3/4 cement wall into but I can't get it to work. I think I've tried every method I've seen...any suggestions?
@@SkooledZone fun is....a word that could describe it lol but I have been stuck on this for three days now and just can't get it where I want it. I did watch the linked the video but no luck with those techniques either unfortunately
Jack, you can't really go far outside the build area without mods. But you can go a tiny bit out of bounds. You can see at this timestamp where I got the turret to go a little bit outside the build area: ua-cam.com/video/1mXvZYiOK5A/v-deo.htmlm48s
Hello skooled zone I wanted to ask what is your take on fallout 76 .I like the fallout games but I have seen lots of bad reviews, about the game is worth buying it?
If you get a settlement attacking siren and connect a firework mortar with an emergency signal flare in it you can turn on the siren and have the flare go up and the minute men will help defend the settlment

Jesus you're like the Bob Ross of fallout 4 settlement building.
Wyatt Hodgson Happy little Deathclaws...
No mistakes, only happy accidents. Unless you use pipe guns to snipe.... in which case your dead to me.
Your level of "know-how" and creativity without the help of mods is astounding and your vids are well put together. Keep up the great work. 🙂

That trick with including a conduit pipe in the pillar glitch is ingenious. Very useful.
I imagine the "new" wireless wiring technique has changed the way you plan build like this. Cool stuff.

That makeshift chalkboard idea inspired me to suggest that you should add neon to it as a substitute for chalk.
Keep up the good work and showcasing everything we can do with just the basics in the build mode. It really helps a lot.
Sincerely,
Jennifer M.
Douglas Dobson please make a video showcase, I would totally watch that
Loving your videos, I’m horrible at building in this game and your videos really help!
👍
This is awesome. You're so creative and smart at this. It's really fun to watch
Thanks Chap
If you use the fish rack from the far harbor dlc and a backwards painting, then you can make a chalk board that doesnt have to be on the wall using the posters. You can also make some nice dividers using the rack and reverse paintings as well.
Nice one!
At boston airport theres a glitch that makes it so you can build to the prywden and get power armored guards.i made a staircase to the prywden!
WOW, so many asking which settlement that is. Jamaica Plain!
A quest, and a settlement.
I followed your instructions but I did the Wi-Fi glitch and I made an invisible wire for a switch and I made an invisible wire to the firework motor both connected and works with the switch but no wires
Nice! 👍
this is really cool man, i really appreciate the tutorial but MAAAAN am i just glad i have place everywhere. those pillar glitches served me well for a while but im SO over it
Yeah, working without mods does take some patience. Too bad many of the mod features aren't just features in the game.
Dude, I just recently stumbled on your videos a couple weeks ago. Sadly I am really late to the party. But your content is without a doubt the best I have seen!
So glad i found these videos
Ronell Ronell same
I love your content your playthroughs your tips and tricks all of it I love genuine content in my eyes I love your stuff keep doing what you're doing much love
The fireworks idea is awesome man, absolutely love your vids, keep posting and I'll keep watching!
👍
Great idea, I may need to use this at some point, like if I build a Player home type settlement.
Yeah, there have been some stellar ideas in the After Skooled Club, many of which have inspired me too!
This is an awesome series, and I love the way you break down these tips and tricks while showing different ways to actually use them. By the way, what is the refocus technique you mentioned around 27:01?
I appreciate it Andrew. As for the refocus technique, check this video around the 20 min. mark: ua-cam.com/video/1mXvZYiOK5A/v-deo.html
You know what? It doesn't even work at Covenant anymore. I just tested it. They must have patched it.
Very nicely done :). I'm on PC so the glitches and such don't work the same but I have a mod that allows most of the fitting and such. Excellent!
Skooled: I’ll just add these zeros for a pixel or two to hang these lights.
Me: Ha! That’ll never wo-
He actually does it.
Me: Oh. Wow. He really is the Bob Ross of Fallout 😱
😁
I picture Brian from Family Guy while he's talking haha Great vid!
Post Apocalyptic Bob Vila! How to make Jamaican Plain look cool. I always used it as a throwaway settlement. A place to send Preston so he can be useless in a useless settlement.
omg i loved it xD really looks like you found an chalkboard
Thanks! :) 👨🏫
Hey Schooled Zone, you could say "Good morning class, and welcome to the No Mods Shop Class"
Wow this is the first time i see someone made a home at this settlement
Then I give miniguns to my farmers :-D (or whatever other massive, ludicrously inappropriate weapons I can dig up)
When everything is peaceful, I have a few guards with pea-shooters walking around, and some farmers complaining about sore feet.
Yes, you'll see me make that update in later videos in the series. :)
I think I'm going to make me one of those. The only problem is I can't decide where I want my main "home" to be.
I haven't watched that many of your videos but I really like you lol. You seem so positive and nice and (like some others have said) you're like the Bob Ross of Fallout 4. You've earned a sub from me!
Really appreciate it Spencer, and welcome to the Zone!
You mentioned the "refocus" technique when using the pillar.. can you explain or send a link to the video on that? I've already used the wiring and rug gotchas you've taught.. absolutely amazing!! Thank you
Awesome and sure thing; it's explained in Tip #8 of this video :) ua-cam.com/video/D76HR039mDI/v-deo.html
Man, I watch all your fallout 4 vids. So, thanks for the content! Always awesome.
Great life advice at 28:05
HA
"JUST GIVE UP RIGHT AWAY "
Thank you , Paul .
🐺
If i had to guess what the two guns are
Splatter cannon/problem solver
Overseers's guardian
You should hide the switch for the mortar in the painting if that's possible
Amazing content. I hope you are doing well and still doing Fallout 4 videos these days
Thanks. And yes indeed, new videos Fallout 4 videos 2-3 times a month!
There's no MAGIC HERE
Most people complain my videos are too long or too detailed, lol. Which part did I skip?
@@SkooledZone Just how you ACTUALLY FINALLY got the front of the gun rack attached. Let me be clear, your videos are amazing and I appreciate every second you've put into the no mods shop class. I just hoped to get a laugh AND thank you. I hope it was read as a glowing raving review AND a omg I actually wanted more comment. Keep doing whatever you're doing, I'm almost caught up :)
Jaw dropping awesomely wicked. Keep up the great work and vids. Always fun to watch =)
Really appreciate it Jairo!
Skooled Zone Anytime man, keep up the great work and thanks for replying. Found your channel yesterday and I've learned more in 1 hour than i did in a year of fallout 4. 👍
You can build a termal on a desk or cabinet with the rug glitch
Finally made that treehouse at County Crossing :) ua-cam.com/video/LPBjD6emiOk/v-deo.html
When do you get all of these option in the building menu? I don’t get near as many walls, doors, or objects as you have .
You'll need the DLCs. Fortunately they all come included with a cheap used copy of the _Game of the Year_ edition. ;-)
I am constantly running into the problem you had at the end with the pillar glitch. What did you end up doing to make the barn frame fit?
IIRC, it was because I forgot to do this: ua-cam.com/video/D76HR039mDI/v-deo.htmlm53s ...After that I just played with the alignment for a bit and it finally fit. It took some patience but it totally works.
Your so awesome skooled zone just awesome
👊
I did this but did it wireless man gotta make more now
Very creative. Thank you but was wondering what it looks like from the side?
Is the barn wall flush with the house wall?
Yeah, I forgot to show it from the side. But you'll see it in the next video. It's not flush with the house wall but it's flush with the concrete wall. Looks just like a gun cabinet.
Ahh.. the good old days before the WiFi glitch. Roof wiring and shit.. 😂
LOL, IKR?
One thing that could make these videos better is a few time stamps since they can get a little long
hey, If you have a minute, look under "Structures"-"miscellaneous" (not electrical devices oddly) and browse through there and see if you have the conduits that act as generators. I just stumbled upon them, I didn't download any mods that say they add them but it may be a mod. If by chance Bethesda added them with the update you could make excellent use of them to eliminate even 90% of your hidden wiring. But I have no way to tell if they are from a mod or from the update. . . . .
Yeah they're from a mod. Think it's called powered conduits or something but not sure since I don't use mods.
I like the video before I watch it.
👊
Genius idea!
I have been trying to incorporate more of the DLC objects into my builds.
Is anyone aware of (not a mod) a radiation detection settlement object? I was wanting to use a logic gate and clear weather shells for when the radiation comes, the firework mortar will fire off a clear weather shell automatically.
Any ideas?
That would be so cool if there was a radiation detector that you could hook up to a logic gate. Unfortunately, there's none that I know of.
I built an awesome settlement without this knowledge. I'm gonna improve it now.
Fallout 4 PS4 question do you know how to setup a day/night cycle timer for lights in settlement
Skooled Zone yeah your right I was watching on my iPad 👍
Do you need DLC for this ?? How do you have all those options in your workshop ?
Yes, I use all the DLCs that came with the official _Game of the Year_ edition.
Knew it was better. But im gonna use shelves so i can have more weapons instead, def gonna put this in my office. In fallout 4 that is.
Can you do a Video on how the speakers in the workshop work? When I hook up, all I get is static.
Thanks
"Wicked?" Are you from New England as well?
My parents are. But I grew up in the South and then California.
Skooled Zone Ah okay jw. I live in Maine.
Skooled Zone ik I'm alittle late to this video I just found your channel (good video btw). Where are you building at what settlement?
Thanks. See note in description :)
With the generator you are able to turn it on and off to get different volumes from it
That's interesting. I didn't know that. Thanks. I'll add your tip to the upcoming miscellaneous tips video.
@skooled Zone wow thanks skooled zone btw love ur vids
Did not know u can cycle the color of the light bulbs, nice one.
Right on. There are some other cool tips and tricks in this video: ua-cam.com/video/D76HR039mDI/v-deo.html
You might need to use the settlement size glitch there
IKR?
You sir get a new sub great video man.
Rockin. Welcome aboard!
I'm having trouble with weapon racks I put I gun on them and it renders in minuscule size I thought it was because I was using modded weapons but I turned all my mods off and they are still tiny does anyone else have this problem(I'm on xbox one by the way)
Hey SkooledZone, how do you capture video from your Xbox?
I'm not sure actually. I use an Elgato. But you can probably ask your question on the subreddit and get some answers: AfterSkooled.club
I am trying something similar but in the second story of the bombed out home at the lighthouse. There is a door/wall frame that I want to glitch this same door and a 3/4 cement wall into but I can't get it to work. I think I've tried every method I've seen...any suggestions?
Sounds fun. Try the rug-stairs combo from this video: ua-cam.com/video/Emv1ZfOOFdQ/v-deo.html
@@SkooledZone fun is....a word that could describe it lol but I have been stuck on this for three days now and just can't get it where I want it. I did watch the linked the video but no luck with those techniques either unfortunately
@@SkooledZone also, super stoked you replied with a suggestion. I appreciate you taking time out to help
Out of the dark question but is it possible to use the rug glitch to place items outside the build area?
Jack Rowe you can get settlement borders extended to allow you to build outside the borders
Jack, you can't really go far outside the build area without mods. But you can go a tiny bit out of bounds. You can see at this timestamp where I got the turret to go a little bit outside the build area: ua-cam.com/video/1mXvZYiOK5A/v-deo.htmlm48s
Skooled Zone thanks. Wanted to try and get something slightly out of the borders for realism. Took a while but got it done. 👍
Great idea
Hello skooled zone I wanted to ask what is your take on fallout 76 .I like the fallout games but I have seen lots of bad reviews, about the game is worth buying it?
Check it out: ua-cam.com/video/bqNKQIVRrGo/v-deo.html
