Check out the official video for this song too! It’s fire! I’ve been a fan since Billy Idol first released a video on MTV, I was 6 or 7 years old and fell in love with the bands music immediately. I literally grew up as a little kid jamming Billy Idol on cassette and watching videos on MTV. Tracks you have to hear are Flesh for Fantasy, Eyes without a Face, White Wedding, Dancin’ with Myself, Catch my Fall, Crank Call, Do not Stand in the Shadows, Blue Highway, Rock the Cradle of Love, Hot in the City, Save me Now, Can’t Break Me, Kings and Queens of the Underground and more!
I always report those idiots spammers!!
Folks need to get a life of no scams! Eeesh.
You have to watch the video. The energy is so intense and billy is great
Great reaction. There's one from Billy called Man For All Seasons that's hard.
Everybody over 50 out here is screaming "MORE, MORE, MORE" and pumping their fist. Thank you.
Me 🖐🏻
😂
💯
Under 50 (but over 40) and I've been screaming "More! More! More! More! More'uhh!" since I first heard this on the radio as a lil kid who had no idea what he was shouting about
YES WE ARE!!
White Wedding, Dancing with Myself, Mony Mony
Mony Mony is a remake of the Tommy James and the Shondelles song.
Billy's version is great though.
Forgot about "Dancing with Myself." Excellent tune.
Don't forget Cradle of Love
Eyes without a face has to go on that list...
You can add "To be a Lover" to his list of many awesome songs...
Can't believe people don't know Billy Idol. Damn I'm old 😂😂😂
He was one of those actually very talented artists that NEVER got the credit he deserved.
Women went crazy for Billy Idol. He has an amazing amount of charisma. He's like punk rock and Elvis had a baby.
Nah man. THAT'S Brian Setzer. Billy Idol is like if punk rock and Jim Morrison had a baby.
@@peterworth94031000%
mix in a little metal snarl too... somewhere between disco and destruction lol....
Lol
Not me. I recall asking a relative who that was. I was about 18 and they looked at me as if I was crazy when I said who TF is that. They were a few years younger than me. I was still listening to Led Zeppelin and Janis Joplin.
Let's hear it for the guitarist Steve Stevens !!!!
great guy!
Later played guitar for Michael Jackson
Ray gun!! Love Steve! So underrated
Amen
Hell yes he's carrying. Billy is in the front of the mix, but Steve screaming across the fretboard is what makes the song.
I'd just turned 16 and got my driver's license. When this song came on the radio, I'd lose my mind! I got so pumped up and I would roll the windows down blasting the radio and pumping my fist going down the street. I'm 57 and it still winds me up.😊😊
We’re going to be the coolest pensioners rocking up to the post office Billy Idol, the Stones Paint it Black 😂😂😂
Absolutely!
Yesss!!!
57 also lovedhis songs even though mostly liked metal at the time
@@Katya-zj7ni paint it black still great
I’m 63 and love Billy. You need to see the video as his personality is something to behold. He’s a great performer!
Was a great performer. Saw him a few years back & his voice is shot to bits.
Where can I see this video? On UA-cam? After which titel I must look for
Just search UA-cam for Billy Idol Rebel Yell.
@@Vlc506 Thank you 🙏🏻
I love his sneer. He was so cool. I'm 66.
Billy F'n Idol
White Wedding was such a big hit
Now you're ready for the "White Wedding."
Who is Billy Idol???😮 I am shooketh😂 highly recommend...driving on long, open roads, windows down, & Billy on full blast!! ❤
My wife and I just saw him live last summer...still kickin ass at 68 yrs old! He was amazing!
Wow, 68. No one escapes time! Saw him at his height.
Omg how lucky!!!!
Las Vegas ? We just seen him in October 2023 on shrooms!! 🍄
Saw him outdoors at Napa. Great show.
Just saw him AGAIN last October in Vegas. More, more, more!
Ahhh - His lip curl - Never gets old
Elvis lip
Best lip curl since Elvis
Like Elvis..love both.
Got married listening to White Wedding. We’re still listening 40 years later❤
The best MTV ad is Billy Idol sneering into the camera & saying “Too much, is never enough”
All of these Billy Idol songs are fire: DANCING WITH MYSELF, MONY MONY, HOT IN THE CITY, WHITE WEDDING, REBEL YELL, EYES WITHOUT A FACE, FLESH FOR FANTASY, CATCH MY FALL, TO BE A LOVER, DON'T NEED A GUN, SWEET SIXTEEN, CRADLE OF LOVE, AND L.A. WOMAN.
Thanks for mentioning Hot in the City, Flesh for Fantasy and To be a Lover! Everyone is going to say White Wedding and Mony Mony, which are great, but these (little bit) lesser known songs are, as the kids say these days, bangers! Hot in the City may be my favorite Billy Idol song...
@@kellylostaglia40absolutely ! Flesh for fantasy was my fave, as i was a kid born in 75, in France who doesnt understand the lyrics but the videos helps to understand the main idea 🤣😁🤘🏼🤘🏼
Great song and first from a long journey with Billy and Steve
I am loving that I can hear each song as a I read their titles.
Eyes without a face!
And don’t forget all the greats pre-solo period with Generation X…
BillyIdol was probably the most under- rated singer of his time. “ White Wedding “ is also a phenomenal track . I’m so pleased you enjoyed this .
And his voice has aged like fine wine. It's crazy, with how he sings.
White Wedding will have him going fast in the 4-Runner
underrated...by whom? Like, what does that even mean. Billy Idol was huge...huge hits
Billy Idol is the sexiest thing that ever walked the earth.
Good lord…it blows my mind that there are people on the planet who have never heard of legendary artists like Billy Idol. This guy is ageless and still touring today. His catalogue is impressive and spans 4 decades. Check out his more recent stuff, too. Incredible!
He needs to be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame!!!❤❤❤❤❤❤
Another gift from the 80's.
Billy=Pure Rock n Roll!
Facts!!✨💫😎
The 80s were the balls-to-the-wall, live life to the fullest, damn the consequences, rebel just because, era. Nothing like it before or since. So grateful to have been a teenager for most of it.
@@brianmurphy811
Punks met Rockabilly and a touch of the Gothicism creeping around in the shadows 😎💥
Nobody sounds like Bill Idol. He is wonderfully unique and has a strong and powerful voice and songs that stay with you. And lets not forget his strong presence on stage and great to look at. He sure doesn't need any backup dancers and all of the distractions so many performers use on stage these days.
"Eyes without a face" is an amazing, haunting Billy Idol song....
Eyes Without a Face. Has one of the most iconic guitar riffs in rock history. And just an overall great song.
Oooh, my favorite! Any song that has Steve Stevens solo's are the best. Love that guitarist's raw sound. He was so innovative creating the lazer sound you hear in Rebel Yell.
@@gracieb.3054 I often play that song on repeat. I was listening to it on the car radio one day when the DJ said "That's so good I have to play it again" and he did. Epic.
I can't agree more. Polo, get this one, please! You will love it.
Billy Idol (along with a few others - Adam Ant, for example) brought punk to the mainstream as pop-punk. It was a fun time. :)
Stand and Deliver 😮
I agree and Stray Cats as well.... He should check out Stray Cats by the Stray Cats... lol...
Throw in some Firestarter by Prodigy!!
@TexasTigressDesigns surly you jest. Stray cats is swing.
@@barbaramatthews4735 I grew up in the 80's.... No they weren't! 😂
Billy Idol was an ex Punk Rocker from the UK during the late 70's and as the New Wave craze grew in the early 80's many Punk Rockers jumped across into the mainstream to remain relevant. Billy Idol was one of them, his career exploded and he became one of the greatest entertainers of the 80's. I know because I was there growing up listening to him and many many others like him. Adam Ant is another...
Was just telling my 30 year old daughter about the New Wave scene. Short but sweet :)
Been listening to Billy Idol for 40 years. Awesome voice and Steve Stevens is an Incredible Guitar Virtuoso. Lot's of great music from this Duo.
Mony Mony, Eyes Without A Face, and White Wedding are Billy's other massive hits. All super catchy and just as good as Rebel Yell.
Oh yeah, any of those are great!
Eyes Without A Face is my favorite Billy Idol song.
Flesh for Fantasy, Blue Highway, Catch my Fall, Do not Stand in the Shadows, Rock the Cradle of Love, Hot in the City, Dancin’ with Myself, all the ones you listed and more. Billy Idol has hit after hit! Dude is a beast and the guitarist is phenomenal. Both are monsters of rock in my opinion.
@@charlesm9929 Agree, mine too
And if you're gonna do Mony, Mony....do the live version! So much better that the studio
This song is a BANGER!! Absolute dance food! An MTV staple 👍
It takes me back to my club days.
I saw Billy Idol perform this song live in Houston at Astroworld in 1984. It was summer time and the temperature was about 110 degrees and you could hardly breathe because the crowd was so packed. No one cared though. It's one of those memorable moments that I'll never forget.
Lucky.
I was at that show!!! Senior Night!! I was completely soaking wet from Thunder River. Haha
Saw this tour as well, diff show obviously...but billy was one hard working man...one of the best shows I ever went too,he gave you your money's worth and then some
You have all of us old people because you are playing our music. So glad you are introduced to it.
Eyes Without a Face, Mony Mony and Dancing With Myself all good Billy Idol classics.
Love Billy, but his longtime guitarist Steve Stevens is primo! Extremely talented....seen Billy & Steve many times, and Steve is always the highlight for me.
Yes indeed...Steve is a monster!
White Wedding Day & Eyes Without A Face are good ones
And sweet sixteen.
The original atomic blond guy! I was a punk rocker, I’m now 62! The attitude never leaves you, had a motorbike too! Ahhh those were the days. MORE MORE MORE! 🫶🏻✨
I've heard this song at least 5000 times over the last 20 years and still can't get enough of it. The way that Stevens composed his guitar parts is unbelievable, every second of this track is more exciting than the one before.
Aging myself here, but I saw Billy Idol in 1983 at the Warner Theater in Washington DC. They DEFINITELY didn't know who they were booking because for the first song or two, ushers were telling people that they couldn't get up and dance and had to stay in their seats. NO LIE! But that ended when Billy said at the end of a song that he would be really disappointed in Washington DC if everyone didn't get up and dance. It was OVER after that!!!
Anyway, here are some more of his songs that you should react to:
Starting with:
1) White Wedding
2) Dancing with Myself
Then in any particular order:
Eyes Without A Face
Flesh For Fantasy
Mony Mony
Cradle of Love
Dating yourself? I was 24 in 83 and was working in Corporate America, but hitting Boston dance clubs for the GREAT pop rock of that era!!
Don’t forget Hot in the City and his cover of LA Woman! Oh! And Forgot to be a Lover!
In the '80's, this song in the club would turbocharge energy through closing...
Definitely reminds me of $0.25 draft on Wednesday nights at Bonneau's in Florence SC during college!!!
Billy Idol is a great artist! ❤ There was definitely something in the water in England in the 1940’s and 50’s when these amazing musicians were born into this world!
Eyes Without A Face is prime Billy Idol.
Back in the 80's I must have danced to Billy Idols songs in the clubs hundreds of times. He had so many great songs. White Wedding next please!
This and White Wedding were his biggest hits. Both have videos that were in regular rotation on MTV before they stopped playing videos
You’ve GOT to see the video. Billy’s amazing.
U know it's a great song when you don't realize that ur dancing, sitting down, to the whole piece, especially when it's 1 minute in.
Steve "screaming " Stevens on the guitar adds a whole another layer to this 💎 gem. Love Billy's multi- layered voice. He can put out a mean scream & then go smooth almost in an Elvis, low keyed tone.
1984 what a Great year in music!
Billy Idol is legendary. This is just one of many absolutely amazing hits you have to look forward to.
Billy Idol's Idol's were Jim Morrison and Elvis and you get Billy Idol !!! Fricken awesome !!! 🤘🎸🔥💯...
I was 14 when this came out and I still love this man! This is a GEN-X Anthem!!
@iaccusemyparents, coincidentally in the late 70s he was in a band called Generation X
@@donpardo2510when I first heard the term gen X, I thought, "the Billy Idol band?" Lol. That must have been in the late 80s.
Facts
You have to watch some of his music videos from the early 80s! Billy Idol was one of the most dynamic and visually creative rock stars of that era. He made MTV a must-watch cultural experience. Miss those days.
Definitely White Wedding - that one ALWAYS got me up dancing!!
His longtime guitarist, Steve Stevens, performed that soaring guitar anthem from Top Gun (not Danger Zone lol) and won an Grammy for it. Dude is a beast. 🔥
Billy still looks the same & still sounds amazing. My brother rip picked him up in manhattan long story. He overcame his demons thx 🙏 God much love to him & u ❤️ MORE MORE 😢
this was my mum's era. she was born in 1960 and grew up on rock and metal, she was obsessed with billy idol. naturally i grew up loving billy too. i can't wait to see him live this august! it's going to be insane. thanks for the reaction. he's truly iconic. and they weren't lying when they said women go crazy for him. my mum said every woman was lusting for him lol.
‘To be a lover’ is one of his best, so fun and just classic Billy Idol.
Have mercy baby!! 😂❤
I was a teenager when this song came out . I still have my Billy Idol albums . I had a 71 Mustang as my first car, and I would roll the windows down and blast this song in the cassette player I had installed. Good times for sure . God bless!
Listen to EYES WITHOUT A FACE. Different vibe and really beautiful.
Anytime you want to discuss music, I’m definitely in.
so glad I LIVED this era!
I love ‘Eyes without a face’, just as powerful with that Billy Idol je ne sais quoi snarl-esque beautifulness that he is.
Billy idol is one of the original Bromley contignent who always stod in the front row at punk gigs in the 70’s. He is punk in its original fashion and his music and songs are immortal.
He even has a smooth song called, Eyes Without a Face, but he’s known for his fierce voice. White Wedding. He is cool as ice. The guitarist is awesome.
Dude is still touring! He has a show in Portland, OR in July.
I saw him about 13 years ago, and he was still putting on a KILLER show. Really, really good....high energy....lots of pumping up the crowd.
If anyone gets the chance to hit one of his shows, DO IT!
Fun fact: Generation X is named after Billy's first band. Try reacting to Generation X's Kiss Me Deadly next ;)
I just said that! But I put 100 Punks Rule one rung above it. 😝
@@bridgittetirman2645 Sure, but 100 Punks doesn't have a movie performance that functions as a music video. Also, don't count out Promises Promises
OMG! I thought that was a Lita Ford song!
@@AncientActivist Different song, same title
@mthai66 I see. I listened to the version you mentioned, and it didn't sound anything like the Lita Ford song I knew of. Every day I learn something new!
I used to have such a crush on Billy Idol! Love this song.
Billy Idol has always been amazing. And take a deep listen to his guitarist, the absolutely incredibly Steve Stevenson. Just listen to him on this track. Between Steve's magic fingers and Billy's grab-you-by-the-throat singing, these two are in two words...THE BEST!
Love Billy Idol. I can't believe all the songs and artists that are not known. Keep listening. White Wedding is awesome.
Video is great too-his guitarist is insane-dude took the music world by storm-tailor made for a young MTV back when MTV was cool and actually played music videos
I remember listening to an interview with Billy Idol talking about their early years and playing a show with Elvis Costello. He realized immediately that he and his band were just kids pretending to be a band. Elvis Costello was a true musician, holding down a job, providing for a family, and still out there on stage chasing a dream. If you haven't spent a little time with EC yet, please, please do so.
Eyes without a face by Billy is a banger!!
His Mony Mony is a complete banger party classic - a MUST watch/listen.
Nobody is more chill than Polo. Nobody.
The best. Whole of 80s crazy good though.
Back in the day, I wanted to bear this man’s children. Listen to Blue Highway next! It’s awesome!
EyesWithout a Face is a really good example of his incredible vocals.
I had posters of Billy Idol all over my room in the early 80’s. My dad walked in shook his head and said who is that? LOL. I am 53 and we still laugh about it today. I still love and listen to his music today! Great reaction.
😅🤣😂 I had a poster of Robert Plant in my room, and my Mom had the same reaction!
Lol my dad made me put him on the back of my door so he didn't have to look at him😂
Love Billy. White Wedding next please
He and Adam Ant introduced me to early punk
I hate to be the bearer of bad news but neither of them are early punk rock.
They are considered New Wave.
The Sex Pistols were a punk band .The Clash a punk band. The Stranglers a punk band listen to them and get an introduction to punk rock.

Believe me there are so many more if I started looking through my vinyl collection.
In the deep South they were considered Punk at the time. The Sex Pistols and The Clash weren't on radio here until After Billy Idol and Adam Ant
@@moniquesewell2670 ---- I understand the way music is distributed regionally in the U.S. . The market and radio airplay in those days was controlled heavily by the record companies and the owners of the radio stations which then controlled the sales of records by certain artists. A person living in your average smaller city or even smaller towns was limited to whatever was being played on the radio for new music. Even in large cities radio stations stayed within certain formats like rock, country, pop, easy listening, maybe an R&B disco soul station, classical. If you happened to live in a college town that had a radio station, that's where you could find non mainstream music. That's still true today. College radio stations usually have one or two 3 or 4 hour shows, daily or a couple times or one time a week where the DJ has freedom to play anything they want and those are the places that independent labels and self produced bands will drop off demos to hopefully get the DJ to play because real radio stations aren't going to deviate from their set list that the station director has created. A DJ might get one or two empty slots to play what they want to play during their 3 or 4 hour show. They weren't going to take big risks playing something new and possibly controversial for fear of pissing off the director, the station owner(s), and the companies paying for advertising.
Sad how the world has forgotton about Billy Idol.
I was only a kid in the 80s but he left quite an impression on me.
He could've been easily a Masters of the Universe character!
What A GUY!!!!
He's the SH#T !❤❤❤❤❤
I love this... discovering Billy Idol!
Although I was although quite old and was not a fan of punk, I couldn't help noticing the energy of Billy Idol. Just when you thought you've heard it all, this arrived on our doorstep.
He still sounds and looks pretty great, too!
Eyes without a face shows his voice purity the best
Hot In the City is my favorite Billy Idol song but I feel like it gets no reaction love. Please react :)
Billy is still putting out records and rocking hard. His first group was Generation X in the early 80's. He was a huge seller in that decade and the album Rebel Yell had 6 major hits on it including Flesh For Fantasy, Eyes Without A Face, Rebel Yell and Catch My Fall. Steve Tevens his guitarist is a guitar hero and so influential. He actually plays on Michel Jackson's Dirty Diana and has a fantastic solo on it.
Billy Idol is one of the greats.
I was a child when this came out. billy idol was / is jarringly great.
Cradle of Love, White Wedding, Forgot to be a Lover, Flesh for Fantasy - so many
His book is worth the read!
Another good Billy Idol... Rock The Cradle of Love... same awesome vibe
I used to play this on a loop..... OMG still love BILLY!!!! ❤️
Eyes without a face is must listen 🎶
As someone else here has said , you need to see the video. He's got a gorgeous phenomenal "lip curl" that's a perfect match for that snarly powerful voice
I still love Billy! ❤️ 🫶
After all these years, that song still pumps me up
Ive been a fan of Billys for 40 years . I never get sick of his music . Love . He also is still releasing stuff today
If you like Billy Idol, please react to either White Wedding, Hot in the City, Mony Mony or Flesh for Fantasy. These are all bangers from him back in the 80s. Billy Idol was just so so awesome..... not many performers like him.
One of the great songs of the 80's! Thanks for doing this one... He's still around, I just saw him sing a duet with Miley Cyrus, both decked out in black leather. DAMN!
Ooh, ooh, ooh White Wedding, please!
Did not expect Billy Idol
What the fudge?! I've been listening to this song for more than 40 years -- and Billy Idol is still touring so check him out sometime. Generation X -- we never grow up and we never grow old!
Sitting in my 78 Dodge Challenger windows róleg down blowing my speakers on California Highway listening to Bílly through the 80´s and to this day. Sadly My Challenger is dust but Billy still makes my skin get goosebumps and the need to roll down my car windows and blow the speakers.
