- I have filmed a brand new red Honda Civic Type R FK2 fitted with a custom made exhaust system done by Cambiocorsa Performance. Video includes in-car and out-of-car footage of the new Civic Type R; start up, accelerations, flybys, revs and more! As a reminder, the car is powered by a 2.0 liter turbocharged i-VTEC inline 4 engine producing 310 horsepower!!

i laugh at the dudes who hate on this car because its a Honda civic. if your favorite company made this exact car with their badge on it you would be going off on how dope it is. You've never even driven either so idk where you get your claims from. Every review Ive watched from real car enthusiasts that drove it (and also drive lots of other cars and aren't biased and only like a few brands while saying every other car is Shit because you dont like the company who makes it) said this car was awesome, fun, handles great, puts down great power, is reliable, and AFFORDABLE. I hate when people say "aw ya id rather drive an M series Beamer" well no fucking Shit the car is e times more expensive and ALOT more expensive just to maintain. it also has a stronger motor so obviously its faster but that's like comparing a normal dodge Dakota to a Brian new f150 raptor . not even a fair comparison.
I thought I was the only one who thought that.

I wanted focus rs 2016, but than road tested both the rs 2016 and this machine and enede up buying crystal black type-r 2016. amazing car you cannot explain it with words, it's so amazing when you drive it really fast. the sensation is 10 out of 10
Nick B you're making me wanna buy one once it comes out in the US.
I'm (at this point) stock at 3000km on the clock for 2 months ownership. I'm doing 5.5s from 0-100 and 196km/h in 4th (total 6 gears). Top speed is 280km/h. And all that is stock and before I start mods, which are pretty easy on this car. You can go from stock 310hp to 350hp with 400 eur and 400hp with 2000 eur it's that easy. The engine is fine upto 400hp. You can go 420hp with meth fuel kit and meth race fuel. But 400 will be my goal because wanna stay with regular gasoline.
Finally got a chance to watch this! I see that there is an intake along with the exhaust. Is the blow off valve noise coming from an actual BOV or the intake?

Mazda 3 MPS, EVO X or even new Focus RS all have four pots and sound much, much better. This sounds pretty boring even with aftermarket exhaust.

I don't like the sound much either reminds me of the new cla amg turbo sound. But I think once companies actually produce exhaust systems they will sound better than this.

Italian number plates. In Europe except for UK and Ireland we have left hand drive cars abd we even have Honda Type Rs. Put these two things together and wow Europe has left hand drive Type Rs :D

Guys this Honda engine is "i-Vtec" which probably doesn't have lift. Lift noise has its own exhaust character no matter the manufacturer. Vtec, VVTI-L or Nissan's Neo engines. Hence the exhaust sound is typical of a modern 4 banger turbo and it redlines at probably 6800 or so. I haven't googled any of it but just reading the description, hearing the engine/exhaust noise and and looking at the tacho I am almost sure this is the case.

Outside view: When it its the rev limiter it sounds like it's only revving to like 4000 rpm.
And we all know those VTec engines rev to OVER 9000! :D
except this one only revs to 7k

When idle it only revs to 4k which sucks.
Mcufre not if it's moving, if the car is idling, but starts to move ( 5km/h is enough) it revs to the limiter xD
there is no point reving past 4k rpm when idle
