    You wasted the crown by not plucking it out of the pineapple, then hovering it above water (make sure only the base of the pineapple touches the water, not the leaves). Then waiting approximately 30 days for root development. Then planting it in a pot of soil approximately 5 gallons of soil,wait 2 years for a pineapple generate. Even if pineapple doesn't appear, it is still a strikingly exotic house plant.

      they're too soft to eat pineapple stem
