I spent most of 1966 in Thailand (courtesy of my Uncle Sam) and we had Thai house girls (wives of Thai Army NCO's) that woke us up every morning to "you want pie apple"? I never realized how involved it was to cut a pineapple until I watched this lady - brought back many fond memories of the Thai people.
I love the way she is so confident and does not let her accent get in the way. Her enthusiasm aline makes u want to follow. She uses the knife like it's an extension of her body 💕
I thought it was cute! (Her accent. 💯 % "One-hull-ed percent" which I never heard anyone say like that before and it really made me smile. ) I just need a 10-year old thai knife
Wow- thank you so much. Love your good cheer and confidence. Asian here but never cut a pineapple before- will try today, thanks to my uncle and aunt who gifted me w a whole pineapple.
This video is how I found you. I'm so glad a pineapple curiosity blessed me with your lovely recipes!!! Thank you Siri, for sharing your kitchen with us!!!
I loved this video. Thank you so much for showing us the different ways pineapple can be cut . I love seeing how fruit can be patterned for the serving . These techniques shown here are great ways to display your food at a party . The pineapple pieces look so very decorative and even more delicious . I'm going to try some of these ways of cutting for an upcoming birthday party for my granddaughter. Thank you again .
I like you as demonstrator. Very neat, clean and simple. Not wearing any ring or jewelry. I learned that In cooking school or classes I attended in 6th grade elementary school in Philippines many years ago. Thanks to my old schooling. 😊❤
Thank you so much for teaching us how to cut pineapples! I always buy it pre-cut, but now I feel like I can do it myself. Also I've wanted to try growing my own by planting the top; it's supposed to be pretty easy. Thanks again and have a great weekend!
You're quite lovely. Thank you for this instruction. My Husband used to be a prep but I learned recently that he's never cut a pineapple. I like how you cut the eyes. I used to use a potato peeler but still end up wasting some pineapple.
Hands down, thee best video I've ever seen on cutting pineapple! And also exceed more then I expected with so many amazing options. You killed it girl, thank you!!
Love this.... Love hearing you say pie - apple! Very sweet and sincere video... Your cutting skills are strangely soothing to watch and brilliant. Thank you.
Of what I can see on UA-cam, this is the most useful video to cut pineapples... here the woman offers a variety of options to cut the fruit so that it is ready to eat. If you have seen the Delish video on the Delish website of pineapple cleaning, it is so poorly done that it actually leaves the hard eyes (basically the embedded part of the outside skin) intact in the finished fruit. This woman here, offers 4 options for a cleanly finished fruit. Enjoy...
My dear Ibibio people of Akwa Ibom State, Nigeria, never you feel shy of not being able to pronounce certain English words clearly because of your mother tongue intervention. Here's someone from another tribe with the same issue, yet not ashamed of herself. Lesson: English is not our language. If you can speak, thank God, but never again try to mock at someone who can't speak like you or the way he should. {Oyibo sef no dey fear}. I love you ma. Well done!
Cactus Y Yes i also heard that the way she pronounced it actually in thailand not manynof them know how to speak fluent english , but she is good already she can speak english , in the philippines thats the way also to cut the pineapple ..
I think that any one that watched this video is now craving fresh pineapple. Looks beautiful and so refreshing, especially here in Florida where it is starting to get really hot and humid out. Beautiful video and knife work.
I've watched this video several times, only to hear her nice accent. Full of sympathy. And also an excellent demonstration of how to cut a "pie-apple" in a beautiful way. Thank you !
I like the look of that knife personally, I think it looks as beautiful as a knife🔪can be. Thanks for the🍍info I have a pineapple that needs to be eaten.
Her knife is super sharp👍. That's the first requirement when working in the kitchen🙂. I am pleased to see her work is very neat n hygienic. She has short clean finger nails and does not wear any ring or jewelleries while doing work in the kitchen. Good job👍🙂
Great video. I've been eating fresh pineapples for years and never knew you could use the skin for drinks. I hope you post some videos on how to make drinks using the skins. I liked your way of cutting as well. Thank you for posting.
Siri, you're an artist! A world class sculptor! Your pineapples would never make it to the Louvre if I were around. I would eat them before your carving was even finished! Great job!
Wow thank you I really like the 4th way of cutting Nice clean cuts you make it look so easy Well my pineapple is not going to go to waste any more it’s going to be cut and it’s going to be eaten
I loved your video, you really taught me different ways to cut a pineapple. I wish you would elaborate on how you make your juice. You said to simmer all the pieces of the skin and add sugar if we would like but do you add water or just simmer it the way it is?
I have not made a video yet, but in short, just take the peels from two pineapples and add 10 cups of water and 1/2 cup of brown sugar and 6 tablespoons of honey and put all in a large pot bring to a boil and then let simmer for 45 minutes :-)
I love your accent it's just so cute!!! Now we got that out of the way😀lol, I can honestly say that you know what you doing . it really helped me a lot because I struggle to remove the eyes of the pineapple, and it got too annoying to the point where I start to just get already cut pineapples. But for some reason it's not as satisfying to me as getting a fresh one and cutting it myself . so this information is very much needed, and I'm putting it to the test right away . thank you so much for sharing.
Very useful...thank you...just recieved a pineapple from my husband who spotted it and bought it from a stall for me on his way back from work...and I was perplexed how I would cut it..now I know...all I need is a knife now...hmmm...shall have to buy myself a nice big one like yours
