Waleska and Efra really fell too deep into the Pinoy rabbit hole. They even know a lot of Tagalog words. Now they are singing in Tagalog. I hope both of you can compose an original Filipino song. I would love to hear it. Tagalog or Filipino is a hard language due to complicated affixes for tenses.
Not only in English to tagalog, but Japanese, Chinese to tagalog etc. The thing is back then, 70s, 80s, 90s they were sung by recording artists. As an example, I'm sure you know the late Rico J. Puno, he has an own version of the song, "the way we we're" in tagalog. Just one more aspect of Filipino music.
As well as the tagalog version of "You've Lost that Lovin Feelin" by the Righteous Brothers, sang in Tagalog by Hajji Alejandro titled " Panakip Butas" try listening and comment please
This is already a thing back in 80's, 90's era its nothing new here, but i love the way you also appreciate how they translate and sang it in Tagalog. The feelings on how they also sang it in tagalog, has more feelings than how they sing it in english or the original version. We also have Japanese song which is sang in tagalog and Opm to Japanese version which is sang by Japanese singers as well back in 80's and 90's
Idols ng SB19 never left the venue... Im sure hindi maikakaila its d Technical Issue of BB Phil that was x NOT SB19s performance... The Last was the most ICONIC gigil era.. GO SB19❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️🎉
Hahahahahhaa you're becoming a Filipino and OPM fanatucs, Waleska and Efra! So cool. Hahahahaha Tagalog language is one of the best language and our national language, Filipino is based on Tagalog! Salaamat po. More of these, duds!❤
5:16 - Waleska's face. all elder siblings all around the world knows and has pulled this expression on their younger siblings more times than they can count. LOL
🇵🇭 It's still happening in the Philippines, when songs originally in English (but non-Manila Sound, non-OPM, and/or not any of their predeceeding, contemporary or succeeding Filipino, Filipino-based, Philippine or Philippine-based genres) and/or in other foreign languages have a translation or version in local or regional Tagalog or in national or nationwide Filipino and/or also in other local or regional languages of the Philippines, and also songs originally in local or regional Tagalog or in national or nationwide Filipino have their translations or versions in the the other local or regional languages of the Philippines.
In school we also taught how to translate poetry, lyrics, songs and plays in tagalog not really a direct translation but we add a personal touch in a way… it as if we create a new masterpiece of our own.
Hahaha.. Your both amazing.. To react filipino. Love songs with the foreign tune..and as a filipino we adore them making this Songs with foreign tune bec we filipinos love our Co humans arround the world.. Im one of those proud filipino subscribers of you guys.. Watching here at Saudi. From Philippines.. GOD bless you guys and more power. subscribers followers viewers.. Love you both thank you so much for loving filipinos..
Waleska and Efra, if you want to listen to the reverse one, from tagalog to english, i recommend the Filipino singer named aika(a!ka - yt channel). Her english cover of the song "Para sa Akin" (originally sang by Sitti) is so goood!
When doing a "tagalized" version of a song it'll be easy to use Filipino or Tagalog because of the syllabication "pantig" of the tagalog words. Some songs don't necessarily have a direct translation of the original, but an interpretation of the singer. I think this goes back way to the 70's or 80's - when some Filipino singers use another song's melodies and create another masterpiece. Here are some notable examples from Japanese to Filipino: (Ikaw Pa Rin - Saigo No Iiwake - Japanese); (Lumayo ka man sa akin - Single Again) -- you can check this: ua-cam.com/video/G57uS78XG7U/v-deo.html
Remember that time in PBB when Josh was taking a nap on the sofa & Stell did a Tagalog remix of Taylor Swift's Love Story? That's what I think ofwhen I come across these🤣🤣🤣🤣
An American music teacher while reacting to Mori's "Akin ka na lang" said that Tagalog is a singer friendly language bacause there are so many vowels. 🏆🤩
It's a mixed of tagalog and English lyrics guys some of our artists like mixing it or the other hopeful local artists inthe philippines.thats OPM ballad love songs mixed
bruh... if you actually understand the lyrics, mas tagos sa puso yung tagalog versions. the hell!! it's my first time listening to these, and thanks to 2 Latinos, i get to know songs in my own language.
Some Pinoy would sing the original English songs, and then right in the middle of it or on the next verse right on the spot they would change the language into Tagalog, back and fort even. 😊
There were always a friend that will traslate a song or made their own lyrics when heartbroken or just messing out with the song😂 Madalas sa inuman ang ganitong tagpo hahaha😂
