It's because there's always a message on his song parodies. He sometimes tackles social issues or issues currently happening at the moment and push learning or what do we learn from this situations. And some songs are just for fun. I hope you saw also his performance with the singers/bands themselves it was fun 😂 and wild
He is a legend! He’s like Weird Al Yankovich of the philippines and was in the cover of asias people magazine. The man with a thounsand faces. Started as a rapper in the 80’s then became a comedian. Our fucking childhood was all Michael V and he’s running bubble gang for almost 29 years already. My goodness.. It’s like an honour here for your songs to he parodied by him! Am glad you reacted to his stuff. 😊
Michael V is the goat of parody singers. Hes been doing it for decades and never fades. Sometimes in that you have to know Filipino idioms (or humor) to appreciate it but my goodness, this man is the legend. Glad he continues to make people laugh. We owe a lot of good times and memories from this guy.
He’s a comedy genius. Michael V a.k.a Bitoy is Ogie and Regine’s bestfriend. He’s a well-respected comedy superstar in the Philippines. He is great at acting, singing, dancing, drawing, directing, rapping, hosting & more! ❤️🩷🤍
Hi! I'm commenting here for the first time. I'm not sure if I recall correctly, but the first parody - oh wow - was a silent clapback for a self-proclaimed influencer in the Phils (Rendon Labrador) who called him out before, telling people that he is no longer relevant, that he was past his prime and that influencers are the new celebs now or something (he never confirmed this as a clapback, but we view it as that and was the general consensus AND WE LOVED IT).The song served as a reminder as well to other influencers to take time before actually posting something and not just to get views and likes and just for the hell of it. We were mad at this self-proclaimed celebrity, by the way. And yes, the Waiting here sa Pila song is also a diss to the current generation who wastes time and money to buy coffee when mostly they're broke AF. We love Michael V. or 'Bitoy' as we fondly call him. We view him as a national artist and we actually wanted him to be formally recognized as one. He makes parodies of songs, but most of them had lessons incorporated in it. He writes the lyrics as well if I am not mistaken. He is a comedic genius.
rapper turned actor turned comedian turned parody singer. hes legendary from doing imitations even way before., hes been doing it on commercials when he was actively doing movies and tv shows.
Yeah Michael V is actually an amazing singer. He has the technical skills to make everysong he parody like he owns it, along with his witty writing. I wish you could have listen to that last song with subs. It's a very meaningful song.
❤Michael V!!.the one and only!! He's the only one doing such things. A good actor, rapper, commediane, writer...you name it, he can do so many things. He's one of Philippines Icons.
Michael V started out as a rapper (Andrew E and Feancis M era) and singer before he ventured into acting and comedy. He used to be the comedic tandem of Ogie Alcasid before Ogie transferred network/management.
Missing the parody/cover era. I think Bitoy is the only one now doing parodies, which is good because now we see original songs. But man, Bitoy is king of parodies. I heard her parody when I was in elementary, now I have my own family and his parodies still hits.
Michael V is the "Weird Al" Yankovic of the Philippines. He's been doing that for so long. Not just songs but even Philippine TV Commercials. But recently he switches to songs. But he has original songs too. "Hindi Ako Bakla and Sinaktan Mo Ang Puso Ko" You may want to listen to him.
Micheal V. is a well known comedian, rapper/singer and a movie star. a versatile artist that can make you laugh out loud to cry your heart out. we love this guy. very smart too.
You need to see Mikey Bustos. He is a Filipino-Canadian who makes great parodies as well. He also can sing very well. He was a contestant in Canadian Idol before. My favorite parody of his is I Wear Speedo (Despacito). He is hilarious.
Michael V is a COMEDY GENIUS! Aside from the fact that he's a total performer as well. He's currently the lead and producer and writer of the longest sitcom in the Philippines (Pepito Manaloto) and also the director of BBLGANG (Bubble Gang) which started in 1995 and will be celebrating the Anniversary this Oct 20th. Bubble gang comedian produce pop culture parodies, celebrity spoofs and witty commentaries on socio-political issues. This is also the same gag show where he performs his parodies. There's no official statement from his side but we, fans know that some of his parodies are a diss, which we love anyway.
saw michael v in the thumbnail, i clicked! and i just woke up! 😅 thanks for featuring our Bitoy , he is a national treasure. ❤i suggest you interview him, he is smart as heck! Michael V and Ogie Alcasid are bestfriends, they did a lot of paradies together when Ogie was still with Bubble Gang - their skits back then were very funny - giving you a glimpse of not just their comedic geniuses but also their mad musical skills 😊
Fun Fact: Michael V is a legend of his own but it's a whole another class when The Trio is together. Comedy Skits Between Michael V, Ogie Alcasid, and Janno Gibbs will get you rolling on the floor laughing.
OMG, I agree. Waleska & Efra, if you could only see those three singers together, your cheeks will hurt from laughing! Those three are already talented artists on their own, but put them together (even when not singing) & they are dynamites! - Small 😂, & terrible/terrific!
Michael V is a living legend. He's one of, if not the most creative comedian in the whole world. He's the top brain behind the longest running gag show called Bubble Gang. Airing on TV for 29 years. Artists are so happy and proud when he makes a parody of their songs. I wish you are fluent in tagalog to maximize the fun. He is so hilarious and people couldn't stop praising how intelligent his works are.
Michael V. actually started out as a Rapper back in the 80s, he's a contemporary of Francis M and Andrew E. who are acknowledged as the godfathers of Pinoy Rap. He later became well known as a TV Gag show host when he and Ogie Alcasid joined with other young talents to form a Gag show at a fledgling ABC channel 5 station called "Tropang Trumpo" in 1994 which was styled like the U.S. gag shows "In Living Color" and "Mad TV" with recurring characters in skits. It was a hit, but he and Alcasid later transferred to a rival station GMA channel 7 one year later and formed another gag show in competition with their old show which became the long running iconic "Bubble Gang" which is still airing today. He has also shown his range as a dramatic actor in various guestings in TV anthologies and specials and also has a long running weekly sitcom "Pepito Manaloto". To my knowledge, aside from his earlier rap songs, he has written two original novelty songs that is not a parody or cover song, "Sinaktan Mo ang Puso Ko" which was his answer to Weird Al Yankovich's "You Don't Love Me Anymore" and "Di Ako Bakla". He is one of the most well loved comedian in Philippine showbusiness today. And his real name is actually Beethoven Del Valle Bunagan.
Michael V aka. Bitoy is a LEGEND! He can do all sorts. He was originally a rapper and singer. Became an actor who can do well both drama and comedy. He's writer, producer, compose his own songs. He draws/paints too. Such a talented person!
Michael V is my childhood favourite comedian. Thank you so much for your reaction video... It made me smiling from the start of the video up until the end.
Michael V. is one of the OG rappers alongside Francis M. in the late 80s and early 90s. They even made a comedy movie together. He then became a full pledge comedian, and had a gag show with Ogie Alcasid since the 90s that still runs until today. He is doing those parodies since the 90s just like Weird Al Yankovic.
I remember when Bubble Gang was such a peak show... I even get scolded by my parents by staying up late at night (10 PM) to watch the show... but it's worth it when I heard parody songs like Mamaw, Isaw lang, di ako bakla, dj bumbay, etc
Yes, Michael V., the Filipino comedian, actor, and writer, was featured in Reader's Digest as a "Master of Disguise" for his exceptional ability to portray a wide range of characters. Known for his work on Bubble Gang and Pepito Manaloto, Michael V. is renowned for his talent in transforming into different personas through his performances, often using clever makeup, costumes, and accents. His versatility in comedy and character portrayal earned him this recognition from Reader's Digest. Yes, he is the G.O.A.T !!!!
Michael is actually multi-talented and this guy has a staying power because he is able to reinvent himself over and over again. Among his other talent that not too many is aware of is drawing and painting.
Michael V. is a comedy genius. He is a key person in the two longest-running shows in PH history: Pepito Manaloto (sitcom, 2010-present) and Bubble Gang (comedy show, 1995). He also creates parodies of famous songs and his own songs!
Michael V is an OG rapper from the early 90s. He did so many parodies of international stars like Lady Gaga etc. He was also a host on Eat Bulaga, the longest running noon time show for 55 years
Michael V. have been doing for ages, he mastered this art Parody he is a rapper too at first then did comedy and history tell that he found home in the world of comedy. Bubble Gang have been there more or less 2 decades, Michael V is a one of the legend and I myself do like his act. God bless to all.
Don't forget before he got into Bubble Gang, Michael V. started as a rapper/singer in the early 90's. That's why he is so good in doing musical parodies. 😊
Michael V. is a legend. Grew up watching Bubble Gang which is the Longest running comedy/gag show in the Philippines. You should check out his parody of Spice Girls 2 become 1 ( pag dalawa'y nag-isa), Bed of Roses ( kama ni rosanna), and another one bites the dust ( may isa na namang kumagat sa alikabok) hahaha.
Michael V directed his show Bubllegang…He is famous here in the Philippines….The part I like most is when he sings English songs into Tagalog and vice versa….Thank u for sharing guys…I love u guys…
the first one was a dis song response to that influencer who bashed him saying "influencers are the new celebrity" and "Michael V is a has been." i havent seen his work in a while but ive seen his old ones when i was still living there. he uses girly voices for female songs to mimic them but with Jessa Zaragoza who has a very low voice he just didnt bother changing his male voice hahaha so hilarious.
thank you,to featuring Michael v.he is a GOAT and famous to sing a parody song and a great impersonator,he is a rapper before and comedy artist here in the Philippines
Michael V is a multi talented guy. He started as a contestant in a dance like michael jackson contest in EAT BULAGA the longest running noontime show in asia. He's an awesome dancer then he switched to comedy and starred in the philippine's longest running gag show BUBBLE GANG and the rest is history ❤❤❤
Michael V "Bitoy" is my ultimate favorite artist in all aspect😊he so versatile interms of comedy, singer, dancer, actor, director, producer, painter, etc....
Michael V is a master, Genius, and multi-talented individual. He could have the record of the most parody songs ever. He's been doing this since way back in the 90's.
that guy is very talented. he's not just a comedian genius but he can sing, an original rapper who also composes some hit songs in ph. he also directs his show and the most famous bubble gang a gag show which is airing for decades now. And he's a really good artist. that guy is a multitalented genius
Micheal V or Bitoy was one of the Hiphop pioneer in the Phillippines... hes been doing song parodies for decades already... before Google Translate ever existing, he was translating english songs into tagalog in a funny way cos he do it words by words and literally like a google translate and he call that segment "MTV" or Music Tagalog Version.
The Morrisette parody by itself is worth one reaction video. Please watch the whole thing. Michael V parodies always feature great singing and plot twists
It's because there's always a message on his song parodies. He sometimes tackles social issues or issues currently happening at the moment and push learning or what do we learn from this situations. And some songs are just for fun. I hope you saw also his performance with the singers/bands themselves it was fun 😂 and wild
Michael V is a rapper and a singer back in the day when he was younger. He was also a hit, his movies back in the day used to sell out like, a box office hit. He had that moment of big popularity back in the day, like in the 90s to early 2000s, then I guess because he was so talented that he was so in demand, he rejected lots of offers and focused on his Bubble Gang show. He was the brain behind that show if my memory is correct. He is just kinda old now.
Not expecting Michael V here lol he's Parody OG in the Philippines. He's been doing this for decades. Just don't go too far back, some of his early works won't fly in today's world of sensitivity lol
Love that you covered this! He actually also has original comedy songs in the old days, Sinaktan Mo Ang Puso Ko (You've Hurt My Heart) and Hindi Ako Bakla (I'm Not Gay). These are quite a blast in the past for us who have watched him over the years, and you hear more of his singing talent there ♥ Michael V and Ogie Alcasid (both in the comedy and music scene!) are actually quite good friends. A while ago they did a Coca-Cola commercial where they play music together and just jam it out which is really heartwarming ♥
Michael V. or Bitoy has been doing this for years now ever since Bubble Gang debuted on TV in 1995. I fondly remember the first one "May Isa Na Namang Kumagat Sa Alikabok" which is a literal Tagalog translation of Another One Bites The Dust by Queen. Back then the funny thing about his parodies is he literally translate the lyrics in Tagalog instead of its context. He even did a parody of It's All Coming Back To Me Now by Celine Dion. There can be searched still on UA-cam. His parodies led to 2 original Songs by him: Di Ako Bakla ("I'm Not Gay" which is a slight to a certain personality (Tim Yap) who claims to be straight but his actions says otherwise) and Sinaktan Mo Ang Puso Ko (You Hurt My Heart) which is similar in context to the old song You Don't Love Me Anymore by Weird Al Yankovic.
Michael V is very talented, he's the creative director for bubble gang its a gag show. He also a song writer and a good dancer. He's a genius when it comes to art, he can draw.
Gen-X in the Philippines fully remembers Michael V starting off as a rapper with the rap song "Maganda ang Piliin" but only a response to Andrew E's "Humanap ka ng Panget" which was very successful back then. So it's like he was capitalizing on the latter's success and that didn't make him much of a big name. But when he switched to actual singing and especially a comedian, he became really huge in the country and yes surpassed Andrew E in popularity by miles. He was more versatile and talented.
Michael V. and his gang in the show Bubblegang is what made our friday nights growing up. And we’ve always waited for the parody part of the show coz its the most best part and the funniest. Our will be filled with laugher with all the fam members watching. Note: if your looking for other comedians who can sing as well, please do make a react vid on Wally and Jose from Eat Bulaga. Love u both from the Phil.
You guys are featured in a major news broadcasting show called 24 Oras here in the Philippines!!! They are showing you reacting to the Salamin Salamin parody as I'm writing this comment 😊
👍🏻done I love Michael V. He is a the best comedian imitator actor singer…he’s really way to good the best actor and really funny…I’m a huge fan of BUBBLE GANG 💯♥️👍🏻🤣
Michael V is funny & witty. He can sing, he can dance, he can rap. If you can only speak Filipino, Efra & Waleska, you’ll laughing until your sides ache. Mikey Bustos is good, too, but Michael V hits the Filipino masses just right. He is a home-grown Filipino icon. And you’re right. He was dissing a rude content creator in “Oh, Wow”. Oh, and he sang with the original artist when he made the parody of “Mas Tanga ‘Ko sa yo”.
Back in the early 90's , Michael V was originally one of the rappers of the rapper, Francis M. As I remember his pen name back then was Elektrika if I'm not mistaken. Aside from being a comedian, director, actor, composer, producer, etc. He literally can sing and a very smart guy.
I think Efra can sing those parodies of michael v. It suits him. 😅😁 Michael V. is one of the closest friends of Francis Magalona, they have lots of rap songs and movies together in the early 90's. His also a comedian and an impersonator. 😊
The first song is a diss track for influencers (in this instance, there was a certain influencer) who post things that aren't really meaningful and just brain rot. In "raining in Manila" parody, its a diss track for people who buy coffe and overstay at coffee shop, thus giving no seats for other customers
During that time Gary V was very famous in the Philippines and Michael Jackson dominated the radios and charts. He both idolized them and hence the name Michael V. Correct me if I'm wrong but I lived in the 80's and 90's and that's how I remember it.
Michael V. is a Master Rapper along side Francis M. and Andrew E. (The Master Trio) and he is the main host of Sitcom TV series "BubbleGang" and the "Pepito Manaloto" the longest series in philippines TV.. and he has no Hater/basher on any social medias
Michael V is the king of parodies. "Sinaktan Mo ang Puso Ko" which was released in 1997 is so ingrained in my head that every now and then there's a line in that song that would pop in my head randomly - "mananaggal sa sampalok ang sabi mo kapatid mo" LOL.
Michael V. is a genius! He's one of the legends here in the Philippines. He's best friends with Ogie Alcasid. He's multi-talented and very good at what he does. He's a rapper, singer, comedian, impersonator and songwriter. As far as I know, if not all, most of his parodies are written by him.
Thanks for featuring Michael V, he is one of the funniest singers/performers here in the Philippines. Another person you should check out is Mikey Bustos and his parody songs.
MICHAEL V.---A.K.A. "BITOY" IS A VERY FAMOUS CELEBRITY IN THE PHILIPPINES, AN ACTOR, COMEDIAN, HOST, BUSSINESMAN, SINGER, RAPPER, COMPOSER, WRITER, DANCER, ALL-IN- ONE. HIS LONG-RUNNING TV SHOWS "BUBBLE GANG" AND "PEPITO MANALOTO" IS HARD TO BEAT. AND ALSO HES THE ONLY ONLINE CELEBRITY THAT DOESN'T HAVE A SINGLE HATER/BASHER. FILIPINOS LOVES HIM.A WHOLESOME MAN.💜💜💜
My childhood was Michael V doing all the English to Tagalog literal translation songs from artists like Celine Dion, Bon Jovi etc. And this was years before the internet even started growing in popularity. Guy was leagues ahead of his time when it comes to parody.
Michael V. started out as a rapper. In fact, he was first noticed when he recorded a rap song that was in answer to Andrew E.'s own very famous piece HUMANAP KA NG PANGET.. Later, he would become a comedian, joining the popular sketch comedy show TROPANG TRUMPO. They did sketches, of course, and even created these hugely popular dance steps that ended with them saying "Chicken!" He concentrated on doing comedy shows and movies throughout the years. He even became a host and/or co-host of different shows. In later years, he would join as a pioneer for a new sketch comedy show called BUBBLE GANG. He started as one of the cast then became a big part of the show's creative team (particularly writer). He had so many ideas, even chacracters, that the show made famous. The show was so huge that even after many years, it still has a following, though not as huge. I believe, it's mostly due to his ideas that they keep coming back up. It was in this show that Bitoy (his nickname) started doing song parodies. I think, the first time he was really noticed for it was when he parodied another parody king, Weird Al Yankovic, singing his version of Al's YOU DON:T LOVE ME ANYMORE in Filipino. The rest is history :)
This guy is a great artist... composed a lot of hit songs too... starred in movies... many tv shows... he started doing parodies I think around 20 yrs ago...

I forgot about that. He's such a talented singer I forgot he was a rapper.
True
So a rapper is not a full pledge artist??

Michael V. is a comedy genius.
He was also a host on Eat Bulaga, the longest running noon time show for 55 years
We love Michael V.. He is an OG.. And he collects toys too (among other things)
Michael V. have been doing for ages, he mastered this art Parody he is a rapper too at first then did comedy and history tell that he found home in the world of comedy. Bubble Gang have been there more or less 2 decades, Michael V is a one of the legend and I myself do like his act. God bless to all.
The Morissette and Celine Dion parodies were my favorite. Also, as an A'TIN, the SB parody was hilarious af
Michael V is a legend here in Phil. All rounder guy!!!
Watching Bubble gang is part of the core memories of my childhood. Mr. Michael V. (Bitoy) is an icon of comedy!😂
michael V is amongst the greatest entertainers in Philippine History. it would be an honor to get parodied by him
the first one was a dis song response to that influencer who bashed him saying "influencers are the new celebrity" and "Michael V is a has been." i havent seen his work in a while but ive seen his old ones when i was still living there. he uses girly voices for female songs to mimic them but with Jessa Zaragoza who has a very low voice he just didnt bother changing his male voice hahaha so hilarious.
If Michael V. makes a parody of your songs, you know you made it! It's the ultimate compliment! 💯🏆
He done everything...he is a rapper singer comedian an actor producer writer...a lot of other things..❤

He's a genuinely great singer especially doing parody MVs..
that guy is very talented. he's not just a comedian genius but he can sing, an original rapper who also composes some hit songs in ph. he also directs his show and the most famous bubble gang a gag show which is airing for decades now.
There's so much to check from Michael V. that Efra and Wale would enjoy but kinda hard for them to relate without subtitle. 😢
How about two decades ago Michael V has also made parody of " Another One Bite the Dust " in tagalog " May Isa Na Namang Kumagat Sa Alikabok " 😂
And now you were introduced to the GOAT, Michael V's parody humors.... 😊😊😊
These are quite a blast in the past for us who have watched him over the years, and you hear more of his singing talent there ♥
Michael V and Ogie Alcasid (both in the comedy and music scene!) are actually quite good friends. A while ago they did a Coca-Cola commercial where they play music together and just jam it out which is really heartwarming ♥
Michael V. ❤❤❤
you can also watch some comedians singing in comedy bars, like K Brosas and Gladys Guevarra, the biriteras
Michael V. or Bitoy has been doing this for years now ever since Bubble Gang debuted on TV in 1995.
Michael V won Asean best commendian or manny faces year 90's.....Michael V is one of Pilipino gem artist❤

Michael V is a singer Rapper, actor comedian, tv host a legend in Philippine entertainment industry..
He is so best to sing the parody,, watching here in jeddha ,,from Philippines ❤❤❤❤,and he is a singer also in Philippines,
Michael V is funny & witty.
Omg I’m so happy to see Michael V is still doing parodies. I grew up watching him and think he’s a genius comedian. He’s def the GOAT
He's the BEST...love this guy.❤❤❤
Michael V is a brilliant actor, singer, composer, musician
I think Efra can sing those parodies of michael v. It suits him. 😅😁
Michael V. is one of the closest friends of Francis Magalona, they have lots of rap songs and movies together in the early 90's.
Michaek V. is my favorite comedian...his a genius ..his a GOAT!!!!
Michael V. is a Master Rapper along side Francis M. and Andrew E.
Super multitalented cool person ever .Michael V
Michael V. is a genius!
The rest is history :)
if you guys want to hear his natural singing voice you should check out Micheal V's "sinaktan mo ang puso ko" and "mas mahal na kita ngayon"
This guy is a great artist... composed a lot of hit songs too... starred in movies... many tv shows... he started doing parodies I think around 20 yrs ago...
