Star Citizen: Area18 Cinematic Tour
Вставка
- Опубліковано 11 чер 2023
- "Cinematic Tours" is a video series in which I create a cinematic showcase of the amazing environments within video games. This time, I revisit Area18 on the city-planet ArcCorp.
ArcCorp (Stanton III) is the single most industrialized planet in Human space. A massive, terraformed Super-Earth that has been sculpted, zoned, and built upon, leaving very little left for nature. Area18 is one of the main commercial ports for interplanetary traffic for the surrounding ArcCorp region. Travelers can find a variety of goods and services... if they're not overwhelmed by the sights and sounds of this landing zone.
A STAR CITIZEN FAN-MADE VIDEO
All footage was recorded in game by me in Star Citizen Alpha 3.18 - 3.19.

Craziest ingame visual trailer I've ever seen
If there's one thing I like more than Hasgaha's photos, it would be his videos. Nice work!
Ha.. thanks VMXeo 😋
They came to me. Grown men, strong men, with tears in their eyes. They said: 'Sir, Mr. Hasgaha filmed A18 and it's beautiful.' And I watched the video and replied: 'Yes, it really is.'
ha, thanks
A Freaking Mazing, that was so well done. First off harbor a great love for Arcorp so this hits so hard the shots and pans bang on. The VFX editions were stellar. Great work Hasgaha, great work indeed.
Thank you so much... I really appreciate that
When Mr. Hasgaha makes a cinematic tour, you best believe I'm going to watch, like, and comment on that stuff
awww, thanks 😊
so much talent in one Hasgaha. Respect.
Haha... thanks
Those pans, dolly, trucking, tilt & parallax shots are super impressive considering how long it takes to get them right in-game. Great job.
Thank you! So much time, planning, testing, etc.
Beautiful work as always !
I appreciated the compositions, the variety of footages and obviously the musical choice 🙏
Thank you so much 😀
You have set a new bar Brother!!! Amazing job!! & my M50 gets love! Thanks for putting in all the work to make this happen
Glad you enjoyed it Darisan!
We love it. It was cool to see the hospital robe boxes laying about! The sound and activity you'll put in really got me thinking about how things in game will feel once the NPC's are finally working as intended! We appreciate your team's contribution to the community, thanks.
Thank you so much.
That was one of the best star citizen cinematics, i've ever seen! Good job! ❤
Thank you so much!!
From insane photography to equally insane cinematography?! Ur nuts. Awesome video.
Glad you enjoyed it! 😀
Fantastic work as usual.
Your camera control in the timelapses is impressive and I love how you subtly use emotes to put some narrative in the scenes
Thank you very much! It's those types of things that can drag the production of these videos out for weeks or months. So it's always nice when someone notices.
This video is pure art! :D
The day CIG adds NPC traffic to cities is going to be a monumental change. Seeing ArcCorp with hundreds of flying cars or spaceships will be spectacular.
Thanks!
And yes, I agree on the traffic. We used to have spaceship traffic at the ORIGINAL Area18 back when it was just the "social module" and not in the "universe" yet. I actually quickly added traffic in post to our Dumpers Depot commercial: ua-cam.com/video/Vi8mxWW2oQU/v-deo.html
Definitely not great, but I felt it was better than nothing and worked fine for a 2 second clip (around the 0:22 mark). All those ships are clips I recorded for that scene just to try to get the angle and perspective right.
Stellar and thank you Mr. Hasgaha.
WIll be an excellent time capsule for how A18 made a big step and, kept on building.
It looks so good but, we all know it can't stay the same.
Thank you
The little interjections of human interaction were fantastic. The guy leaning up against the wall, while the other gets agro. The guy sitting up next to the dumpster. And the speed up time lapse scenes were epic. I saw a number of things I had never noticed before. Great work! 07!
Thank you so much!
Amazing job, I need to get zin to get this good! xD
Aww, thanks Bored. I believe in Zin!!
The technical skill on display here is as next generation as Star Citizen. Bravo sir 👏
Thanks man!
I've been an admirer of your still shots for as long as I can remember, but this cinematic is simply amazing. I look forward to experiencing more ☺️
Aww, I really appreciate you saying that. Thanks!!
Absolutely fantastic work, my friend!
Thank you! Cheers!!!
Really amazing! ArcCorp just needs some rain ever so often.
YES it does need rain. And thanks!
Fantastic tour, Fantastic footage, fantastic music, fantastic camera control !!!!!
You teased us on twitter and... this is a MASTERPIECE !
Great job !
Many thanks!!
Magnificent..
The angle, the lighting, the movement, it all felt so alive.. And every scene looks like writing their own story.. Well done!
THANKS!! I'm glad you liked it.
Nicely done! I loved the background music - mesmerizing.
Thank you very much!
Absolutely fantastic, my friend!
Many thanks!
An amazing video. Beautiful work!
Thank you very much!
I've been thinking about starting a video series in SC for a while now, yours are so wonderfully amazing!!! Good job!
Loved the video! The game looks amazing when you play it... and then your video just pushes it even further.
Thanks!
🥷 先生 ! Amazing.
Thanks
I’ve never seen the fighter holo! Crazy!
That boxing hologram isn't technically in the downtown center of Area18. It's in another cluster of buildings close by. You have to fly over to it. I can't remember the name of the building/point-of-interest
Absolutely fantastic, top notch stuff as always man o7
Much appreciated!
Amazing work, ✨✨👍✨🥂✨✨
Many thanks
@@Hasgaha You're most welcome.
Great work, as always!
Thank you! Cheers!
Great work! I love how creative folks can still capture new beauty in places that are no longer fresh to the game (I know clouds are new but still). Good stuff
Thank you very much!
Love your work man! Keep rolling along! o7
Thanks! It's been a while, for both a video of my own (not for ATMO or with Arts&Crafts) and for seeing your name in the comments. Hope you're doing well.
@@Hasgaha 👍👍yeah doing good just been pretty busy with real life stuff but i am here :) thanks for posting helps me get my fix for SC in :)
Astonishing!!!
All the camera movements and angles are so good that I can't really figure out how to achieve these effects in game XD so good
Thank you!! I spent way too much time planning, testing, failing, etc
The cybernetic tho.. 😍
Tecia "Twitch" Pacheco 😍
How the hell is it only 3.8k views 🤯
Insane talent man, good job 🙌🔥
Thank you, I really appreciate that.
This is really amazing work!
Glad you think so!
so lovely, love the composition and little sound effects here and there. keep doing it your really good at it and i learn from your technique's! ^_^
Thank you so much!
dude this is SO WELL DONE! also this looks like a new single player game trailer set in an amazing city.. crazy thing is, this probably has enough content and places that one could literally make a complete SP campaign just within the confines of area 18 and a few surrounding rooftops :D COMON CIG! PUT STUFF TO DO HERE ALREADY!! ;) :D
Thanks!! 😊
Now yer doing game dev level stuff, hiding dem fan-service easter eggs in there. Nicely done. Gonna have to add a + to yer A+... so A++ =)
Haha.. thanks Rolo!
Brilliant stuff.
Thank you
Very nice
Thanks
Love your work. Every video.
I appreciate that!
Gorgeous work, Mr. Hasgaha!
Many thanks!
@@Hasgaha You are most welcome!
Awesome!
Thank you very much
OMG… great job🙌

Very crisp. Nice work!
Thank you
You did a great job!
Thanks Yang!
👍 got my Like
Thank you for that
this vid is def a 10/10 just wish there was a spotlight on the space port and ships depaering and arriving
THANKS! I spent a few hours trying to record time-lapses of the space port but I never captured many players coming or going.
Cool Music :)
It is... but it's not mine. It's “The Hack” by Miguel Johnson. Make sure you check him out:

@@Hasgaha It fits the ArcCorp vibe .
Right? I thought it was perfect!
😶🌫🔥🔥 GJ!
Thank you
Very very nice! Lovely cinematics, super skillful application of video techniques, seamless editing, and a nice soundtrack with HD sound! Doesn't get any better. Well, maybe a "beginner" section showing the approach and landing procedure at Riker, could make it a bit better:) Thanks for the awesome videos and photos!
Awesome, thank you!
Very good staged ! I love it
Thanks!!
Way too good.
yasin abi beni tanıdın mı oray bey
Thank you!
CIG has to get those clouds moving
YES!! It becomes very obvious in time-lapses unfortunately
1st class Hasgaha, thanks! Just can not find the spaceport anymore... The new nightly LOD with silhouettes of towers in colourful light somehow feels artificial. ArcCorp felt more believable before imho.
Thank you!
And yes, flying down to A18 at night and trying to find the spaceport is overly difficult right now.
Is there any competition going on at the moment?
If so:
JUST HIVE HIM THAT DAMN PRICE! :´-D
Ha. Not that I'm aware of, but it is possible. CIG has been running more contests lately. So many, in fact, that I don't have time to participate in all of them.
@@Hasgaha : Not to mention, your fleet must already be quite impressive due to winning that often. ;-)
Space-NYC 4 life
😄
Seems like some things changed since June 2023 to now. I don't see that giant "FIZZ" ad in-game anymore except or the water "stream". I actually didn't know what they were until seeing this video. I also don't see traffic on the road when taking a shuttle. Weird.
This planet made me wonder how would there be weather without bodies of water or something other than buildings and such. I imagine it would requires some sort of machines to make that happen.
Recently saw your website talking about creating the banner for the subreddit. Is the greenscreen still an option with reshade? Been looking for a way to make some get some great ship images and save time in post processing! Thanks in advance!
Short answer: No.
When Star Citizen implemented Easy Anti-Cheat, ReShade's access to the game's depth buffer was blocked. ReShade needs the depth buffer information for ANY shaders that work within the depth (distance from viewport) like the green screen shaders and any depth of field shaders. The next best option is to try photographing the things you want on a mostly plain or solid background. It can be tricky to find the right environment AND lighting. But if you can make the background mostly solid or void of details, then it's easier to cut out in image editors.
Gotcha - yeah I figured. Man too bad, it would be so handy! Appreciate the insight thank you! @@Hasgaha
Why is the cog sculpture spinning (sometimes)? What black magic is this?
The cog sculpture was still spinning in 3.18 but not in 3.19. I recorded some of this in 3.18 and some of it in 3.19.
