Having everything laid out in a single video makes me just now realise how much of the content you've produced for this game update. Nine whole minutes of pure information is bliss to my ears!
We try to show and feature as much as we can both in the update video and feature videos, not everyone looks at Dev diaries or finds it easier to watch/listen to information!
(I prefer listening to things myself so I understand it)
thanks reddit
Thanks for taking your time on this. Balancing and bugfixing this must have been a lot of work! Huge respect!
@@Victoria3Official Better tell me, why was brigade management cut out of the game and, in fact, the brigades removed from the map? Why is there such an arcade marine system in the game? Don't you think it would be a good idea to discuss such edits with the community before cutting from the shoulder?
The earning recognition event is such a nice addition.
And it should have been there from the start
@@reverendnon5959 a lot of the things from this update should ve been added from the start...
@@reverendnon5959
But it's here now, so hurrah!
@@reverendnon5959better late than never. But yeah. With all these changes v3 now feels out of early access
Definitely, I hated that I could have the best economy and military in the world and still have to fight a GP for recognition
Very promising update and DLC. I hope the new ownership system allows for more in depth financial systems in the future, like foreign and private debt between pops and pops & nations. A 'Repay debt' causus belli could make the diplomatic, economic and political game much more interesting.
Yes, having rich countries' pops buying foreign debt to earn a hefty extra would be amazing. And would encourage you not to destroy some countries as their debt would be fueling your pops demands.
@@aaronhpa exactly! I really feel like debt should play a bigger role in the core economic loop, especially when you consider it's role during the period! In the same way they own buildings, pops could be able to buy and own shares of the investment pool funds (which could be renamed to something more appropriate) that then could be borrowed by both pops and governments, national or foreign. That would add a whole new dimension to diplomacy. A foreign government defaulting on it's debt could cripple your economy, prompting you to either adopt an agressive diplomatic stance to protect the interests of your capitalists and aristocrats, or dealing with the economical and political consequences of inaction, such as an economic recession, civil unrest, insurrections, etc. What a dream!!
Considering they liked my comment, maybe they're working on something along those lines hahah 👀👀 I hope
@@AntonioZL it would be also interesting how they adaption of debt, historically nations usually inherited debt, in exchange for prestige and having a easier time with managing the new areas(it would be really awesome if a popup happened where if you annex a nation, you can take their debt to gain some prestige and them less rebellious?)
Finally I can invest in my subjects. I've been waiting for this since release
OMG the visual feedback about supply chains might be obvious in concept (obviously an urban center needs glass) but it’s such godsend to me. I’m so excited for this patch.
It really is cool, I didn't realise how much I liked it until seeing how connected a building was!
cant wait for the foreign opium and tea plantation hehehe
building 3.8trillion opium plantations in china ❤❤❤
@@cooldudewithcoolname9447* in India and sending it to China.
Greetings, Victorians.
Happy Friday Victorians!
Please do more about war interactions. The game is getting better and better ❤
What more could you want? The war is great as is asides navy
@@roser5372that the batallions dont randomly tp away?
There's at least 100 issues. @@roser5372
@@roser5372 i think watching a war without interaction is boring in vic 3
@@avecoir I'm almost sure that this was changed in 1.7. Take a look at the dev diaries in the forums.
Please thank the Dev team for us, we appreciate the work going into this game, and I hope they can keep it up. Additionally, it's awesome to see modder work being incorporated into the game and seeing them getting props is awesome.
The 24th of June will be a good day in Victorialand.
thank you for your hard work in making the game better
Thank you! It helps being given lots of feedback from players!
I love everything about the UI update
Thank you, I'll pass this on to our UX designers!
Always had faith this game had the potential to be the best strategy sims out there, glad the vision is finally being realized
I can't wait anymore, this looks great. It's awesome when you buy a game and the developers actually give you content and updates. Keep it going! This is my favorite game ever.
Same for me, I love this game
Finally having a vassal swarm will make any sense!! Nice!
Not to mention colonial administrations, although the ability to change their culuture would be nice, I don’t want a french Senegal as the german Empire
@@SirBalageG you could just annex them and then release them again then it will be german senegal with german culture but yhea that takes a bit of time
@@Raphael-wy8yh too much infamy for annexing each African colony to then just release them again, I'd much more prefer to either combine the two different administrations or just change the culture if I don't have colonial administration yet
Building registry, is the single GREATEST addition of ANY victoria update.
Great update! Your support for the game makes my purchase of the game worth it!
The economy features and ownership changes are exceptional! made me realise how 1-dimensional the original system was. Well done everyone on the viccy 3 team!!
Stepping in the right direction. Now PLEASE add Great Wars and more and more historical events. The coronation of Queen Victoria should be a world event similar to Vicky 2. I would even like to suggest a Newspaper game mechanic to list off important things to the player or players.
I don't see how Great Wars need a special mechanic. They happen organically, as the game goes on. Alliances form, bigger wars start, the development of trench warfare and machine guns naturally leads to the grinding reality of WW1. I don't see why Great Wars actually need to be a thing. I would appreciate a dynamic war naming system, though, and you could just have big enough wars named like they were in Vic2, but it's really not all that necessary.
A new day, a new game, a new story... thank you Wiz... thank you Victoria team, thank you Paradox, I believe this is it a true renascence! Let's go to the best Victorian era and greatest economic simulation!
AMAZING, it's my favorite game since I download it, developers are doing a really great work !
Looking like a great update, thank you for making high infamy hurt more. I hope it also affects subject Liberty desire as well
Honestly this is shaping up to be some of the best content paradox has ever made, definitely a lot of hard work went into this
Getting everything I’ve been thinking the games been missing out on! Nice job can’t wait to also get some more canals (Erie plz) 👀
Thank you devs for your hard work on this game!
Fantastic devlog!
I love seeing all the improvements in Victoria 3. I'm especially excited about being able to invest while playing as Morocco.
Can't wait for the DLC release.
Keep up the great work !
Building Registry! Nice!
Well done, a lot of work has gone into this update it is clear.
This update looks so so good! I'm so excited to play Sphere of Influence and try out it's features. I'm hoping for a DLC that gives flavor for the US and/or Japan next!
very cool that they work with modders and let them add stuff to the game
by the end of the year VIC3 will be what everyone wanted it to be, im hyped
I've been reading all the dev diaries but seeing everything packed into one video... Oh maaaan. This is gonna be SOO AMAZING! Goodbye thousands of hours of my life
Literally everything I wished for in one update👍
You are killing it! This is a massive update!
This is so good, some of the changes are literally gold QoL... Thank you so much for continuing to improve this wonderful game.
Please add a market tab that is DOMESTIC production and supply, aka your own output and consumption within a market so we can actually see what we need for independent economies prior to declaring independence/ leaving markets
I agree having that would be nice, rn its already half in game but yeah I totally agree
i’m genuinly impressed by how much you’ve added
Finally I can play South Africa and get my autonomy up before the 20th century.
You son of a gun, I'm in! Time to replay the China playthrough where I could maybe earn my recognition instead of fighting for it!
This is phenomenal! Can't wait to play it myself.
Love the stuff you guys are doing keep it up.
Wow, im impressed. This reminds me of the saga of Cyberpunk. At release it had many issues but today, it is praised as one of the best games ever made. Because the devs never gave up. They listened to the fans and worked on it step by step, steadily. Well done!
Looks perfect.
I only play CK2 but Victoria content is so good to watch 😂
24th of june is the day i will own all foreign factories.
Looks awesome
This looks amazing and I really like the new cooltips. It makes the information given to the players very clear
Simultaneous diplomatic plays is a huge change, world conquest is way more doable now
this is huge! grats to devs, they've done an incredible job
this is getting seriously good, great/comprehensive video as well!
At 6:10 you should code the game to always order by highest to lowest whenever clicking on a data tab. You avoid having to click twice to see what you want.
I would argue you will want to see low profit / unprofitable buildings more. With profitable buildings, you just look at them and go... nice. There is no action to be taken. With low profit, you might want to look at it and try to fix it in some way.
@@M1Nt3Nk3RThis is true, having to click twice on the market to filter from surplus to deficits is annoying. Luckily it saves so you only have to click it twice when reloading the save.
Oh wow. The new features including the new ownership mechanic really makes the game feel more PDX and less gamey. I look forward to playing the new version! Now you should split the states into provinces, like you did in EU4. That would make border changes much more dynamic and would lead to less convoluted civil wars, such as in 1 state countries.
Ive gyatt to play this new update 🤩 😮😮

A lot of people dogged on Victoria 3 but this update specifically remedies a lot of my complaints. I love having a lot of diplomatic options so I’m big excited.
Damn sounds like a great update/ expansion! The only thing that I could think of that could be added was possibly making a difference between aristocrats owning vs capitalists owning buildings. Esstentially deciding to take away buildings from aristocrats and giving it to capitalists or vice versa but still great job
Fantastic
so much happened since October 2022 till now that this update feels like a new game for me
especially the qol features introduced here are soooo good thank you!!
Let’s gooooooo
I really like how the info in this video was presented
Love that interal and external politics are now linked
looking forward to being able to invest in foreign nations, and in finally being able to engage in more than one war at a time! Thanks Paradox and Vic III team.
I like the direction the game is going.
Must include automated trade option in the next update, there is a mod, but it should be official.
Even options to click and the game sets the trade routes that are profitable.
I love what you guys have been doing. Next thing should be an update to the colonisation system in my opinion. And more historical flavor and events, like the Berlin Conference.
Amazing !
The ally choosing something to gain is a good change. I had allies leave the war pretty early when things were going well and out of no where the "compitulate" out of nowhere its understandable they gain nothing or lose nothing when the enemy demands nothing in return for them joining. maybe this ally choosing somethng in return would make them stay in the war longer for them to gain that demand.
It's so nice to have a list of all free features in one place, separated from the DLC. This video is just what I needed before the update.
Getting excited for this release.
THIS FREE UPDATE IS SO GOOD IMMA BUY A DLC REGARDLESS OF WHETHER I WANT IT BECAUSE I WANT TO FEED THE DEVS
this update is so good. i can’t wait to play it
This looks great! Well done. I would suggest maybe adding a law or some other way to mandate a certain percentage of worker ownership in a building in future updates. Adding a bit of extra purchasing power to your pops while still having access to private investors.
Really like this update. Keep it up, only faster ;)
Wow this looks great!
I like that you can become a regonized great power tho diplomatic play instead of war now thanks to the journal entry
in love 😍
Vamos todos juntos nessa nova AVENTURA
você por aqui ô louco, bom parece que só tem eu e você De br por aqui infelizmente e a paradox não costumam responder português brasileiro andei reparando isso é triste querido Jack ver isso 😭😭
PSA, the spanish "treaty ports" of Ceuta and Melilla date back to the XV century and predate the creation of Morocco. So while technically correct it would be a strecth to consider them colonies.
I love this game and update!!
Building registry? Amazing! :)
Hey Dev, I hope you could consider an idea of "splitting states" cassus belli.
Because when i played as Iraq, I couldn't draw the modern border or Iraq and can only take an entire state. It's really bothers me because I can't draw straight lines on maps like the 19th century Europeans.
Understandable. Nothing feels as satisfying as drawing borders based on nothing than easiness :D
Great job pdx
NGL as I realized that was the Battle Hymn of the Republic playing in the background I sat up straighter and started to smile XD
I'm really hoping the in-game tutorial will be updated to have a few journal entries that focus on these new changes, especially with the foreign ownership.
It should become possible to get treaty ports without having to go to war, just as the German Empire had in China, since the treaty port was also profitable for China.
This patch is huge, it feels like a 2.0!
I'm very happy about new economy system. I can finally rp as an libertartarian neocolonialist or nationlize everything in my communist/statist playthrough!
I've been DYING to be able to switch side in my subject's civil wars, the amount of times my liberal society has been forced to support my subject against a liberal revolt has been AWFUL
Too exciting! :)
So cool
this will make the game way more fun and diverse. im glad this is the reality of the game now ❤
just 3 days remaining to play Perisa and restore the empire i can't wait 3 days 😭😭😭
Looooks really good!!!
this game has the biggest learning curve for me as someone who's played a lot of paradox games, none of my friends from previous games really play this one, I don't enjoy the financial management much, but I like that it's slowly becoming more about nation management, rather than colonial monopoly.
In a few years I shall try this game
Love it.
i love the variant of blood on the risers
Fucking amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!!
can’t wait 💯
I like what I see
Looking good
Holy crap I'm so excited to play Qatar or Brunei and actually have a functional economy without expansion lol
