Ohh yes, The world ethnostate that doesn't discriminate.
These flippers is rated E for everyone
Ethnicity: *HUMANITY*
Playing 1800s stellaris
Maybe the real ethnostate was the friends we confederated along the way.
@@equilintogo5378 Racist, but only at non-earth species
Goddamnit this one still isn't fixed? And the rest of us are still stuck waiting for an actual Turtle Island guide lmao
I think you should be able to Confederate with large swathes of Africa by getting the Afro-American heritage into the mix. Releasing an Afro state on NA should do the trick (which, in turn, would mean free state to Africa)
Getting Africans into north America sounds like a pain to confederate them. Still funny though.
Yeah, according to the council of dark wizards you can get everything but Indian and pacific islanders
@@generalistgaming Shouldn't you be able to get Indian via Tibetan and Nepali.
What? Why would Africa want to be under colonial control?
@@stormoscar2628 no, my point is that you can easily expand into Africa and Turtle them into the fold. It might require releasing some of them and reabsorbing, but it's something that can be done to become a worldwide ethnostate.
@@generalistgaming You don't need to subjugate countries to feed them states. You can also feed them states if you make them Belligerent, and what's more, you can feed Belligerent countries ANY states inside their diplomatic interest regions.
That was the most effective way of eating GPs in the previous patch, and it should still work now. Just make Qing Belligerent and then feed them British Columbia.
How do you make the AI belligerent but still annex them?
@@grahamturner2640 You make them Belligerent first by taking a core state, then you gift them Florida, then you improve their relations to 25.
In my Turtle Island runs I usually collect several NPC countries that hate me but have been gifted 1 state somewhere in North America, and by late-game I eventually improve relations and annex them.
Especially because, personally, I find it more efficient to stay as a 1-state California and build up for most of the game, until I annex the whole world in 1 go around the 1890s or 1900s.
The so-called "Turtling strategy", if I dare say so myself
I've seen this before
ich bin islander
You have the best Vic 3 videos on UA-cam. No debate. Excellent content. Thank you. Can you do this as USA?
Thank you! I believe you can, but it makes more sense to do it not as the USA because you'll annex them really easy anyway
I'm just surprised it took you this long to make a video on it, it's a fun run for sure once you pull it off. France method is even better though, much nice. I hope that Paradox never patches this tbh.
I think he was waiting to see if Paradox patches this. Looks pretty darn broken.
At a certain point I decided a video would just do better on the new patch. I don't think there's much need to patch it - if you do it it's pretty obvious what you've done. Although I think you can like form Germany after I guess.
I remember using this as Paraguay back in 1.6. At least there's a different way to do it now, as the Paraguay strategy is almost impossible without mods (State Transfer tool).
If you wanna go into China use the Philippines, they have philipino which allows for south East Asian
Turtle island when squid plateau walks in
Bro you guys are pretty damn creative with a complicated piece of software. Kudos to you mad lads. I'm too much of a filthy casual to take the time to comprehend all this, so I'll hide behind virtue and pride myself in not using exploits.
11:24 In my run with this strategy, I took Yukon Territory from the Hudson Bay Company, and that state has a border with Russian Alaska. Also, you'll have to fully colonize Alaska in order to do the land bridge strategy.
This exploit is extreme. Well done dark Generalist wizards .
yo what kind of diplomatic habsburg shenanigans is that?
Global peace Made by france
Great video, only question is do you just conquer the Hudson Bay states as France or how did you acquire those?
Just conquer, yeah
Just a quick thing, the culture is pronounced May-tea (like the drink Tea)
victoria 3 mughal empire
You mispronounced metis. Its like May-tee
I know it's not like objectively a big deal, but ya. It was very painful to me, as a Canadian, to hear the way he pronounced it.
@@Fable91 Same
Thanks for letting me know - pronunciation of stuff I've never heard or seen before is rough.
Please continue
You actually can confederate with Qing by releasing kamatchka (russian and siberian culture) since Siberian is north asian and manchu is also north asian
Do you actually get ALL the primary cultures when you annex a country, or just one of them? (I’ve heard you had to release and re-annex to get them all.)
Wow this is so stupid. At least it's not something the AI will randomely do.
Hear me out: same thing but form super Germany first then do everything with Greenland and on.
Now that’s a rainbow coalition
How do you feel about being a vic3 specialist, Generalist?
soo..you basically have multiculturalism without having multiculturalism
Fyi Métis is pronounced "May-Tee" rather than "mettis"
WC or else
"Metis" is pronounced May-tee.
I'm fully expecting them to remove European heritage from Denmark for historical accuracy anyways
TUTEL
"Métis" is pronounced 'may-tee'
Primarycolturemaxxing, hell nah brainrot exploit
this exploit is so stupid
Now go atheist and form arabia
I cringed the moment he pronounced Metis - for reference, the correct pronounciation is "may-tee"
Damn I never even thought to start as France.
Tbf I didn't think of it - it came to me in a dream (the wizards told me)
India: Am I not turtlely enough for the turtle club?
Thank you
The indians do not accept the Indians, unfortunately
Sorry to be the pronunciation guy but Métis is pronounced 'maey-TEE' in English or 'may-tis' in French
It isn't pronounced maytis in French
If you’re gonna be annoying at least be correct? Lmao it’s absolutely not ”May-tis” in french
@@groupvucic2235 I'm from English Canada so I can't confirm the French pronunciation but I went off this simple.wikipedia.org/wiki/M%C3%A9tis_people# and ua-cam.com/video/kC961CZcGzw/v-deo.html. Not sure what to tell you, if my info is bad then I apologize.

@@dr0buds the video is correct the article is not
Edit: A couple other things I've figured out: If you grab alaksa and chukotka form russia and release nunuvut instead of metis then you don't have to wait for hudson bay company to colonize. You can also then click the button to turn Athabaska into a real country (after you eat france) and then annex them before giving alaska back to russia (since you said it needs to be fully colonized, though maybe that was just a border problem).
Philippines is possible through the Philippines since they have Spanish primary culture.
The only heritage groups you can’t do are Indian and central asian. If you could do one of those you could possibly do both because of tags like India and Pakistan (which you’d have to make exist some how).
East Asian is easiest to get by releasing Ezo in Ainu. Ezo has east and north asian heritage.
North asian via Siberia which also has inuit.
African via Louisiana which has Cajun (European).
Middle eastern via Israel (Sephardim has two heritages) or Transcaucasia since it has some euro cultures too.
South East Asian via Philippines which has spanish.
On double checking it looks like indigenous oceanic is not possible either but that doesn’t help you much anyway.
You don’t get all the primary cultures you only get one. This means you might have to release a country and eat it multiple times to get the culture you want (like Azerbaijani from Transcaucasia).
1.7 actually improved on this. The new nation of Herat has Persian (Middle-Eastern) and Pashtun (Central Asian) as primary cultures. From there, subjects can form countries, so you'd just have to feed a neighboring country like Kabul enough land to form Pakistan, and you'll be able to accept South Asian cultures.
Indigenous Oceanic still remains out of the question, though.
@@wallyvargas-rios9305 Awesome!
@@wallyvargas-rios9305 My god, it really is Turtle Islands all the way down.
I just noticed that the caucasian imamate also has chechen (european) and north caucasian (middle-eastern). You can actually get to Russia fast enough with this strat that you can grab them alive, but you'll have to save scum eating them to make sure you get north caucasian (if that's even possible),
@@wallyvargas-rios9305 then again, there aren't many Indigenous Oceanic people in the game, so it's barely an issue.
I wish they hadnt taken away the ability to get recognition through war. I like that they added a way to be recognized without it - for me thats actually more useful - but sometimes war is the better option and it would've been nice to still have that option. That is the more 'realistic' way anyways when you consider the Russo-Japanese war of 1904-5.
Also, this whole strategy is absolutely absurd. I love it and I hope they dont change it.
Actually they didn't. Hovering over recognition journal entry lists conditions for the score to fill up and one of them is enforcing war demands onto great powers.
I played as Japan a few days ago and annexing several Russian provinces made me recognized from 0 score starting point
i just realised if you do this in MP you could get africa through the us too. or through haiti maybe
This tech is wack. Props to the wizards in your discord.
*dark wizards
bro.
bruh
does the exploit no longer work? did this EXACTLY but greenland doesnt pop the turtle island interaction for some reason
Nice renovatio imperii. It would be fun to see an as-intended Turtle Rock playthrough, just to see what this journal entry was meant to do.
so to understand how this would work for qing, they would take canada, release greenland and greenland would have a chinese and native american heritage for their accepted culture so you could annex them as metis?
Taking/releasing the same states should work - you’re way further behind on tech but get Sericulture
who let him cook?
The fire department 🔥🔥🔥
alright was is this demonic ass stuff the discord is cooking up how did they find this out?
Sorcery
Trying to repeat this and even tho I own a state with metis culture i still cant release metis.
You need to own the ENTIRE state - colonization needs to finish before you take it
Confederation of Earth.
We do want to see this glorious world conquest
It's turtles all the way down...
Is it fixed in 1.7.5? Did exactly the same thing, but can't form Turtle Island, the button is inactive
UPD: It works! On my first try I was slow enough with conquering Canada and didn't have any boarders with decentralized nation (Iron Confederacy)
3:06 mmm I mean, Isn't it possible to conquer that state and also revoke the claim on the same play? so in that way you would be able to colonize there.
It's pedantic, but "metis" is pronounced "May-tee" it's a hybrid french/indigenous culture.
I am not entirely sure i follow how this was done but cool nonetheless
Could you try to get India by getting having Afghanistan or Baluchistan form pakistan and then offering them confederation to get an indian culture?
Generalist, Metis is pronounced Mey Tee, FYI :)
Phillipines has Spanish as a culture. Couldn't you annex them using that?
This is definitely spiff quality exploiting
Now how to do this in MP
Based culturemaxing moment 😤
World conquest😊
There's something funny about France immediately gunning for Hudson Bay and not Quebec or the maritimes.
Imagine what the Quebecois would think about that... before France becomes a mega world controlling turtle island.
This feels like it had to be an oversight where it was only supposed to inherit native populations as primaries.
:0
Canada is primary culture maxxing IRL
boar what I didn't understand that
Louis Riel stays winning.
Absolutely amazing
Now do it as Krakow.
FINALLY TURTLE ISLAND
BOWSER BOWSER
YAY!
Is the yoyo sway with conscripts still doable under 1.7?
Yes, but nerfed in various small ways
Great stuff. Thanks again.
Pronounced "MEH-TEE" not "METTIS" damn Yanks
what a dumb mechanic xd. very historically accurate. what the heck are turtle islands even???
Turtle Island is a concept borrowed from the mythology of different indigenous tribes on the American east coast. The idea is that the world is an island resting on the back of a giant turtle.
@@grahamturner2640 The world is an island resting on the back of France.
Turtle island is a name adopted by many subsets of the pan american Indian movement as a non colonial term for the continent.
Also, what about this is less “historically accurate” than being able to turn Switzerland or Yemen into the world’s preeminent superpower? There’s lots of stuff you can do in Vicky 3 that is way less plausible.
And you have to pay 20 $ or something like that only for use this.
You're paying for much more
not much more
You need to own the game to play it, yes.
@@sethyboy0 duh it is logic but it doen't make it a good game but it doesn't explain why do I have to pay 322 dollar or more just to play this game with all DLC if mods could do it too but it cannot because upadtes break them
@@lefthand4943Developing mods and developing updates that make those mods possible and add new features is a completely different thing, not even remotely comparable
