In this video I show you how to layout Lime Line Tape( limeline.bigcartel.com) a flame graphic and airbrushing a ghost flame effect with a custom color we mixed using candy toner and white paint. OMG that pinstripe tape for me years ago was a nightmare the first time i used it. You really need to have super steady hands a flowy technique. You are really good at it. Awesome end result too, never thought of airbrushing it like that. Learned something new today. thanks again.

Your tape is a MUST, I just received some of your 1/16 tape yesterday and it's world of difference over the other brand I was using...now I can turn on a dime...thanks for the great products you offer and for your time making these videos 👍
I never in my life remember seeing someone lay down masking tape like you just did. With a single layer butted together and then double mast the edges to seal it up. That totally blew my mind, now I gotta go try it. Why overlap and leave yourself so much tape to cut through when you have to be so careful not to cut all the way through. Cutting through a single layer means the same pressure all the way around and way less variation I guess you could say. Then the double layer on the edge to give a better seal and more of an edge of you are going to blow paint up against it. Maybe it's an airbrush thing or something new I've just never seen but I really dig it.

Great vid, very informative. I was told when I was a we lad by a famous so-cal hot rod/custom/low rider painter Mike Fennel (sadly passed 9/19/12) in the mid 70's that true ghost flames are done with the method you showed, but with pearls only? Because you can only see them when the light or sun hits them just right. That's why they are called ghost flames.

This is exactly what I want on my Harley, but silver on black rather than purple. I won't be doing it myself, my eyes aren't up to it and my hand isn't steady enough, but at least I can show my mate what I want him to do. First class work sir!

No, you need a spray gun for flake. Yes the paint is the same but you may need some adhesion promoter for the plastic

Hey love the videos. I want to paint a tank yellow with black ghost flames. What kind of paint what you recommend using for black ghost flames? I haven't been able to find any black Kandy Koncentrate. Would I just put black base coat over the yellow?

I have seen some peoples flame jobs but most times they had a hard line you could feel. How do you avoid hard lines?
Clearcoat and sand multiple times
Using a razor to cut the tape around the flames. What if you knick the painted surface? Btw great job and thanks for the mixing tip. Never thought of that.

Not.."Ghost Flames," they are somewhat invisible until sun hits them a certain way..but good job on flames..

Yo ghost paint, at night, only shows under street lights....
I love you guys videos but why don’t you ever use xacto knifes or razors blade in a knife. I do hardwood floor installation & I use a razor knife daily. When cutting intricately I hold the knife like I would a pencil or pen
Yep, I’m just used to a razor blade it’s easier for me and I never run out.
