  • In April 1999, a famous TV personality was gunned down on the doorstep of her home in Fulham, London. Whilst a nation reeled in shock, a murder inquiry was launched that would become the biggest ever conducted by the Metropolitan Police and the largest criminal investigation since the hunt for the Yorkshire Ripper. This is one of the most notorious unsolved crimes of the 20 th century. This is the murder of Jill Dando.

I'd like to know how exactly the theory of her having info on Savile was 100% proven wrong because the BBC just saying 'they just...didn't receive this info' doesn't cut it for me lol. Unless there was something I misunderstood concerning that section?

The first thing that came to mind was that she’d found out something big and was holding onto it for a reason, but someone did not want her to talk. (Edit as l write you’re talking about Saville, but it could have been anything😬) Or, she had a stalker she hadn’t known about. The fact she was starting a new phase of her personal life, and getting married, makes me think of that. Whatever or whoever did this, it’s absolutely terrible and heartbreaking. Thank you Emma for being you❤️

Yes Dee, she uncovered the news that instead of arresting David Copeland, the Met Police put him under observation but completely missed the fact he had stockpiled & was ready to nail bomb Brixton wich he did. The police panicked that the public would react with rage & anger at they didn't arrest him when they had the chance & the act of terror could have been avoided. Everyone close to the Met denied that this was the case but in her capacity as the host of Crimewatch she was privy to phone calls from members of the public revealing that the Police had been closely monitoring Copeland & Jill threatened to blow the whistle on the live Crimewatch broadcast & in her last show she DID broach the matter & discuss that people were phoning in to say they had seen the police swarming Brixton in the days leading up to the bombing & this resulted in Jill getting involved in a furious argument on the matter with Crimewatch's resident on air police experts David Hatcher & Jacqui Hames that became very nasty & ended with Jill threatening to make a formal complaint to the senior BBC Executives. Just 4 days later she was murdered. It was the Police who killed her then framed poor Barry George. But make no mistake the order came from the very top of the Met Police to silence her at all costs because she was a dangerous threat to the reputation of the police in the UK at the time & there was a distinct possibility she would blow the whistle. The reason her murder has never been solved is because even today the high ups at the Met Police know why she was killed & they are simply protecting their own.

The 'theories' put forward for this are all red herrings, i don't think the truth will ever come out. As you state she was rarely at home so she was definitely being tracked, maybe she was being followed, maybe her phone was being tracked, maybe a tracking device on her vehicle. It can only have been done like this which means more than one person involved. Also the fact that a firearm could be discharged and the neighbour did not hear it would strongly indicate a silencer was used. The fact the police then fitted up the obligatory lone nutter in a corrupt fashion shows the police have acted from pressure from above so I would also question the investigation and evidence as presented. Whoever could track a person incognito, kill her in silence so she is found 15 mins later, completely dissapear avoiding all cctv, then have the influence to get the police to frame an innocent man all has the hallmarks of an establishment hit.

And, a prolific stalker and harasser of women. Barry George did it. It was a crime of opportunity. Carrying an improvised weapon, and saw her. Or, waited for her.

It's so difficult to trust in situations like this especially involving a high profile victim since they have continually been involved in so many corruption cases and cover ups and continue to do so. It makes you wonder about anything at all. There are some good people who work in the police force but it is so politically motivated at the highest levels I wonder how any are able to choose this profession any longer.

If you want to know why Jill was murdered, try the Richard D. Hall video entitled "Kill Jill". I personally helped him with this case in a very small way, and his work and findings are faultless. The actual man who pulled the trigger will never be revealed or sentenced because it was a state assassination which leads all the way to the top, and those at the top control what happens beneath them and they won't be wanting the true facts to emerge. That's the way it goes and that's why they were keen to sentence a man they probably knew was innocent from the get go.

This is a video that almost brings me to tears even now. It feels like ten years ago, maximum.
I don’t know what to make of all the theories, there’s so many, as there always tends to be with someone famous.
I feel sorry for Barry George.
I think her fiancé also delivered William and Kate’s children as well.

The unlawful persecution and conviction of Barry George was an absolutely appalling and totally unacceptable miscarriage of justice just like those two poor innocent geezers who were wrongly accused and convicted of the murders of Leslie Moleseed and Rachel Nickel. The fact that the authorities refuse to pay him the 1.4 million pounds compensation because of a ludicrously inconsequential and trivial technicality just adds insult to injury.

I never thought the George conviction was safe. You have a guy, who let's be honest, is not the brightest. And they find a fraction of a millimetre of gun residue on his coat a year later. His coat would have been covered in the stuff if he commited the crime, it would have been all over the place. To clean that residue off, nearly completely, would have been a very technical process, and why keep the coat anyway? I'm not saying he didn't kill Jill, but I do think on the evidence presented it was a huge miscarriage of justice. Really interesting video, thanks Emma.
Edit. Just a thought, maybe you could do a series on miscarriages of justice, there are some whoppers out there in the UK and US. Thanks again.

I just can’t see a stalker or fanatic or someone who was obsessed with JD would kill her “Execution style” …….So coldly…..I think there would be more passion involved but that’s just my opinion…….To me it feels like someone “VERY HIGH UP” has met one of the hitmen they use to make people go away somewhere, literally handed the hitman a few pics, the details of her daily life and were to find her then paid him….That kind of thing I definitely DEFINITELY do not think someone obsessed with her or that even knew her would do…..IMO it was just a “hit” to someone then stitch up poor BG as he was vulnerable, the police NEED 👮‍♀️ POLICE because they are so corrupt and they are getting worse…….Also I think this most likely is related to the creature “Jimmy Saville” & her awareness of what was going on…….so sad 😂😂😂😂❤❤xxxxx

One of the best videos I’ve watched on Jill’s case. Good job! I’m going crazy trying to understand the motive behind her murder, and the fact that’s still unsolved makes me so sad (and angry!). She seemed like such a good person, it’s so unfair what happened to her. I wish one day this case gets solved because it’s just so frustrating to everybody, especially Jill’s family and friends! Maybe she was indeed onto Jimmy and his pedophilic behavior and that’s why she was killed the way she was - it seemed like a professional hit, but then again who knows? Professional hitmen do usually make one “clean” shot (and it’s usually in the head, too) and that’s it.
Poor lady, may she rests in peace.

I was spotted returning home late in the evening of the murders and interviewed by investigators, and possibly crossed paths with the actual murderer. The crime was solved about a week later, but it was pretty intense for a few days. This new theory has come out recently. This is an excerpt from a news article I tried to link to but it wouldn't post link, but if you Google it it will come up.
"A French fashion mogul accused of multiple counts of sexual assault hired a Russian hitman to murder presenter Lisa Brinkworth after she went undercover to expose his agency, according to extraordinary claims in the papers.
The assassin may have mistaken Miss Dando for the real target given striking similarities in their appearance and occupation, as well as the fact that they lived in the same part of London, lawyers argue.
The lawyers also note that Miss Dando's fiance, Alan Farthing, was Miss Brinkworth's doctor.
Miss Dando was gunned down on the doorstep of her home in Fulham, west London, in 1999 and though stalker Barry George was convicted in 2001, he was later acquitted and the investigation remains open.
Gerald Marie, 72, the former boss of the Elite modelling agency, is being investigated over alleged sexual assaults and rapes involving at least 11 women."
