I am doing a CPU build and will be using this. It's a fantastic product to maximise contact pressure with your cooler. The CPU Guard is there if you're using liquid metal, no need for it with normal thermal paste
The cpu guard is stupid. No idea why anyone would pay for that. I bet you see zero to no change with the frame unless it offsets it. Other than that,… I mean, how hot is your 7000 series chip getting during gaming? But hey do you mate.

1440P at 480HZ OLED is so endgame cleaity cool!! Now we just need graphics cards and monitors that support 120Gbps thunderbolt 5 connections to not have to use Display Stream Compression DSC. I would say that the Alienware is better choice overall, especially considering the $300 savings. The only reasons why someone would choose this monitor over the Alienware are 1) they want the matte coating to combat glare in an extremely bright room, 2) the majority of games they play are super fast-paced and they want the smoothest motion possible, and/or 3) they prefer ASUS's design language. The AW2725DF's refresh rate is more than high enough for most people's needs. It also has better color depth, color brightness, and color separation due to its QD-OLED panel. Plus the panel's glossy coating will allow the image to "pop" off the screen more. Also, I have more faith in Dell's customer support and warranty service than ASUS's
@99vv17 That's a lot more difficult of a decision to make since they're nearly identical in performance. I think right now the MSI might be the slightly better choice overall. When it was first released, it apparently had issues with input lag and just overall glitchiness, but I believe those have been ironed out with firmware updates. I tend to avoid MSI hardware in general because of all their glitchy products I've had to deal with in the past, but they seem to have improved since then. The two HDMI ports on the MSI are 2.1 while the one HDMI port on the Dell is only 2.0 so the MSI has better compatibility with PS5/Series X if that matters to you at all. The MSI also has the higher bandwidth HDMI 2.1 ports instead of just DP 1.4 and HDMI 2.0 which is what you get on the Dell. So you can disable DSC and get (I believe) around 300 hz at 1440p. With DP 1.4, I think the highest refresh rate you can get at 1440p with DSC disabled is 240 hz. Not much in it, honestly. Might come down to whichever is cheaper when you're ready to buy
I switched from 1080p 144hz ips to 240hz 1440p oled. The big difference is the quality, but the hz difference is nice but tbh its not that much difference, just a bit smoother. I dont think I could even tell between 240hz and 540hz
Weird question but does 4k actually make a really noticeable difference? I'm using a 1440p for 7 years now and it feels great and I tried running 1080p in a couple of games and other than text being bigger it didn't feel like much has changed
Depends on use case / games, screen size, viewing distance, and personal preference. 4k makes a big difference on tv sized screens, upclose. Smaller screens closer to you? Your pixels per angle can be the same.
I do want this monitor but I also want a PC upgrade too in like a years time and I am currently rocking a RTX 3080 with an R7 7800x CPU and want a 5080/5090 and probably by then they'll have released a monitor that has DP 2.1 instead of 1.4 with compression which is the main issue I have with this monitor. If they address these issues and if the 5090 trumps the 4090 in performance then I will get the updated version of this monitor with that GPU and whatever the latest high end gaming CPU will be (whichever performs the best)

Have the ASUS fast IPS 360hz monitor can’t see the point in this even for CS 2 as I only get around 350fps most of the time. Perhaps when the 5090 comes out and we have all remortgaged our houses so we can afford one….

You've got some sort of problem. I recently did a fresh install of Windows 11, and on one Steam account, CS2 has the same problem you have, it runs at around 350fps. On another Steam account I'm seeing 500+fps. The settings in the game are the same on both accounts, but I think the game is bugged and the menu can show different settings to what is actually in effect.

I have a NAVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060 and 2x16gb ram what CPU and power supply would you recommend?
I would say an am4 Ryzen 5600x is cheap and fits perfectly. 600w works fine but if you have plans to upgrade in the near future, 850w.
@@Timtamz Ok many thanks
No GPU at the moment or the planned next release even support the needed uncompressed bitrate, hell even the monitor can't support it. Why does it not have DP 2.0, why are we still using a 2016 standard?
Hey Does it say yes next to DSC if it's enabled through DP?
I would like a 34" 3840x1600p OLED @ 240HZ
Just checked my lotto ticket, won't be buying one sadly 😂😂😂 though I'd probably get the 4k model.
Wait is this in 1440 ?
can't buy*
Would this be good for the ps5 pro?
Marcus please can you say if you could pick this or the new asus m 4k version which one when the 5090 comes out and maybe why I can only but once not twice really hope you can back to this question playing battle field and cod . I play to be on top on the board 😊
Great blog 👌 I know you mentioned the 4k but grrrrrrt I can't make my mind up😢
I'd go for the Alienware or Asus 4K, as it's almost as good for CS etc, but then better for everything else. If you JUST play warzone, apex etc etc then yeah this is better
@PcCentric thank you sir 🙏
Hi, looking advice on the prebuilt pc from Currys . The pc specialist flux 520.
Is it worth the money ?
Thank you
The HDR doesn't get as good as you want because it can't show HDR.
It just got 10 bit color, it shows only 99% of DCI-P3 (135% sRGB)
You need 12bit of color for HDR. It just supports an HDR signal.
There is not a single PC monitor that I know of that has 12bit color, dut if anyone knows a monitor for pc that is, pleas let me know.
Using the C2 TV as a monitor, still cant find anything that beats it.
My favorite top nerd!😎🇺🇸
sale date ?
I just got my first gaming pc can i connect Ethernet from pc directly to modem
Review the coming Acer Predator and Nitro PLEASE!!!
Have the ASUS fast IPS 360hz monitor can’t see the point in this even for CS 2 as I only get around 350fps most of the time. Perhaps when the 5090 comes out and we have all remortgaged our houses so we can afford one….
If you turn down a lot of settings it’s possible to get higher fps but not everyone will want to do that, my pc 4080, Ryzen 9 7950x, 32 gb ram at 6000mhz easily gets 360 fps in esports titles and older fps titles, even MW3 “Multiplayer”at low settings with DLSS at performance I get around 330-406 fps and I use the AsusPG27AQN 360hz monitor with ULMB 2 enabled
Have you ever tried a oled?
You've got some sort of problem. I recently did a fresh install of Windows 11, and on one Steam account, CS2 has the same problem you have, it runs at around 350fps. On another Steam account I'm seeing 500+fps. The settings in the game are the same on both accounts, but I think the game is bugged and the menu can show different settings to what is actually in effect.
could this work with any monitor arm??
Please do a review on the modue
About being impatient, this is a game where u wide peek and insta headshot people, u are just mad bad at it, its one of the if not the fastest time to kill game, and agressive playstyle, especially in cs2 (vs csgo) is highly rewarded (because u cant even hold angles if u wanted to u are forced to be the one that peeks), u are not even shooting back thats an issue, so stop that cope.
I still want this but that price :(
its not 24 inch, don't want it
You can put it in 24 mode
@@pocangel it lags and runs like crap in 24 inch mode compared to a real 24 inch display
@@ImakeTanks nah
do only monitors reviews
Still want OLED and Mini-LED to be in 24-25" sizes. I have a 1440p 165z LCD 24" but one day I want Mini-LED in a smaller size. I still don't trust OLED with burn in issues later on.
If u cry about it then u shouldn’t deserve oled I’ve had mine for 70 days I do the panel protection every time and every time I go off so far no issues also it has a lifespan off 10,000 hours
@@stitchyrichie That's only 1 total year of being on, pretty bad if you ask me. I have my computer on half of the day so it would only last 2 years for me?
24/25 inch you know. 27 is perfect .
bro got that fresh ass haircut.
no displayport 2 is so funny
Bold move to be taking on intel ads nowadays, don’t ya think?
testing 480hz without single game at actual 480 fps? weird
I think I'm fine with my m28u right now lol
tanıtım için teşekkür ederim güzel monitör tercihi
now this is content!
It’s not in stock 😢
As soon as a 16:10 glossy version of this is out, I'll buy one, 16:10 is a much better aspect for PC gaming, 16:9 is mainly for console games and TV shows.
is it just me or does the screen cut out to a black screen ?
"you can buy!" lmao
not only you can't buy it but most can't afford it
I wonder why not a single reviewer mentions the color banding issues this monitor has when watching UA-cam videos. I have had it for the days now and I never felt more sorry having bought something with such a bad result. And no, it is not a faulty unit, woled seems to be utter poop....
?
Why no one speaks about BenQ zowie XL2566K ?
textures ultra / rest low / off get those fps high
I love Asus but the Aorus version got the alight edge with 2.1 dp
Just shame about the size I like to see 5120x1440 faster 480hz seems OP.
What is the keyboards model?
It is Corsair K100 AIR (for who else wants to know)
nice monitor
How much they pay you ?
£0.00
Thank you all and @asus if I'm lucky and I can change my GTX 1060 for that wonder 4070 SUPER OC Edition 12GB GDDR6X
tried this monitor and the sony M10S and the M10S is much better. Sorry not sorry. Asus just has great marketing and pays alot of these "reviewers" alot of money to talk positively about their product.
you can build PCs but you can never get most performance out of them your 4090 usage is not even at 90 usage so it's massively getting bottlenecked for some reason . I have just a 13700kf and rtx 3080 I'm getting like over 400fps stable fps in dx12 1080p low settings in fortnite zero build so your setup should get like over 500fps in 1440p low settings
is it mountable to a minitor arm cus of the circle on the back?
Yes. It comes with an adapter in the box.
Bro what is CPU and GPU combo for this monitor
Depends on the game, but max out BOTH
@@PcCentric thanks
1:38 - 1:41 the rest are in the comments
can u review the nzxt player three prime
for this monitor you need a 4x rtx 5090 PC
I can say.. ive never owned a monitor.. just play on my tv..
21GB RAM in fortnite :o woo when ?
