A bit of advice when building a computer with multiple people present. Never hand a bare computer component directly from one person to another. Static electricity is a part killer, and just the difference in static charge between two people can be enough to fry a stick of memory or a drive, or even a motherboard or video card if you're particularly unlucky (though parts like that do tend to be a bit more robust). If another person needs to take it from you, set it down for them to pick up. Needless to say, try to avoid working on a computer while on carpet, too. About resetting the CMOS by removing the battery, you'll also want to have the motherboard powered off and removed from all power (unplug it from the power supply) because many motherboards will still pull enough of a trickle from the PSU to keep the CMOS clock running even with the battery removed. Another reason to start the build outside of the case (which they didn't do here) is to boot it at least once with everything plugged in to make sure all your components work. Unfortunately, while the rates are low, parts do sometimes fail right out of the box. It's a lot easier to troubleshoot while everything is still laid out on the table than with it all installed in the case. Even if you do install it all in the case before the first time you turn it on, definitely do some testing before you start cable management. (One of the reasons to test before putting it in the case is so you can do cable management _as_ you install each component.) Trust me, you don't want to go through all the effort of installing all your parts just to have to take it all apart again because you forgot to properly install an M.2 drive or a cooler backplate or something similar, or because you got a bad stick of RAM.

Damn dude, I remember following you when you had like 30k subscribers, you were barely smiling back then and now look at you, more comfortable in front of the camera.
Keep it up!
Watching those videos hits different after building my first beast of pc 🔥
Nice relaxing content after outrageosly nervous day and life. Thank you.
Wow. What a great video. I can’t wait to build my first pc, this video really helped me feel confident.
Absolutely LOVE your videos! I'm actually in the process of building my first PC as well right now and this was such a big help!! ❤🔥
Just re-built using this case, very impressed with the access during the build process removal of panels is so easy. One point with your build that concerns me is you are extracting hot air over the radiator that is cooling the cpu, hence your high cpu temperatures. I installed an AMD wraith prism air cooler, temperature of the cpu max is between 55c - 60c running 4K ultra settings.
I'm going to be building in this case very soon, is there a better fan config that you have? I was going to go for bottom and front for intake and top aio and back fan output. Any advice is greatly appreciated.
@@ImTonyBruh I have 2 x 140mm bottom intake fans. 3 x 120mm lian Li reverse intake fans from the side. 1 x 140 mm Lian Li extract at the back. 3 x 120mm extract Lian Li at the top. I have no AIO but cool cpu with AMD wraith fan. Working perfectly with no ugly radiator hoses in the case. I run a RTX4080 FE GPU
Just purchased a Corsair Vengeance i7500 with a i9 14900KF and RTX 4090. Loving your content so far and looking forward to PC gaming.
im waiting for parts to arrive for my first built, i got my b760m, 2x8gb ram, i5 12400f and 600w psu in the mail today and am just waiting for an rx6600, case and 1tb nvme m.2 drive
Sick case! Loved the shape. Looks clean man
It's a right of passage to figure out why your first attempt to POST didn't work. Mine was because the video card wasn't seated completely.
One of mine years ago wouldn't turn on because the power supply's power button was turned off....
“You look like a strong man.. but you’re very weak..” 😂😂😂
Bruh I died 😭😂
bruh right to his face too lol
Seeing all of your hard work just coming together and building such a masterpiece is so satisfying.🤤
Hard work?
Hi.
Just built my first pc yesterday using this video. I found it really helpful for the most part but then when it came to cpu cooler install and connecting all the cables, I had to reference your other videos… which wasn’t a problem because I had them all saved in preparation.
But my first pc build is now up and running thanks to you!
Cheers! 😁
I am looking forward to buy a really high end pc build (My dream gaming setup) and this video really helps.
I love this case and the creativity of it great build and like the beginner building class
You never explained why it wouldn't turn on or what you did to make it work again....
im here for this. super disappointed
Same. How can you do a pc build and not explain why it didn't turn on 😵💫
1st rule of professional PC building: Ignore grounding! 🤞
What's that?
static electricity that builds up can break ur pc if u dont ground yourself
im building my first pc today im nervous to build it but excited
could u do a video on how to safely clean a pc most of the vids are 7 years old the UK is depending on u bro great vids as always
Parts for my PC Build get here in 1 week! Very excited
How did it go bro
How did u do and how’s it holding up
This was my go to vid during my build last week 👍
That case is huge.
I have the same case but all black with 4090, 14900k and 64 gig of 6000hz ram and I love it. Enjoy your new PC mate. PS I have a 1300 w PSU and would always go higher than you need as they last for ages, just saying.
Always good to see a newbie build a pc.
It looks absolutely amazing! He did overspend a lot for what he has though
He said he was planning to upgrade gpu forgot what cpu he has tho
I’m literally starting building mine in 10 minutes when I get home and this helped so much thanks
Is it done yet how did it go what parts if you don’t mind me asking
@@coding32111 not done yet - I didn’t do much and am continuing it tomorrow. It’s not the highest end build (16 GB RAM, 1 TB NVMe M.2, AsRock RX 580, R5 5500, MSI B450M PRO-VDH-MAX, MATREXX 40 3fs, 24 inch KOORUI monitor) and could have probably got better price to performance. So far it’s gone very well and has been very fun, but my PC is literally a cable monster!
@@coding32111 Well, it's finished, and I am replying to this comment on the new PC! It worked first try!!!
@@r-ty_dragon1334👍🏿
@@r-ty_dragon1334how much did that cost you
watching this was very well spoken and clear to understand.
This video gave me hope to build my first full build (my current one is a pre-built) thank you for that. I just hope i got the right parts XD
I build my first PC in 10 years. although it wasn't hard, it took way longer than it should have.
I’m so excited to build my first pc. It’s completely led by your guidance. 7900xtx and 7800x3d
Can i ask What motherboard You are going to use?
@@DIFDIF-iq8uqMSI Mag X670E Tomahawk Wifi
@@DIFDIF-iq8uq i went with the gigabyte b650 aorus elite ax ice same cpu and gpu
I'm so glad i bought into the corsair link system less mess
Been following your channel for a while now and decided to have a go.. done a Ryzen 5, gtx 1650 for my daughter... I had a blast and now I want to build another one but this hobby I can see becoming rather expensive 😅
man i wish i would have enough money to buy my own pc like that someday
Explaining how to build a PC, you completely glossed over the internal wire connections, they are the most important part of any new build, take your time with the internal cabling to avoid failures such as the one you had or even worse damaging the parts.
I put together my first one yesterday! Nothing like the first time.
What parts of you do t mind me asking
It took me about 4 and a half hours. When i but my first PC this year. It wasn't that bad
That is so aesthetically pleasing and beautiful but for half the price you can get closer to 250 fps soooo remember just because you spend a lot of money on something doesn’t mean you’re getting the best quality
I know it’s pretty late to say but. Welcome to the pc master race my friend
Building isnt Hard, but getting the Money and the Parts like this is Hard
I love this type of video. Let’s see more!
I just built my new PC and here are the specs. What are your thoughts on it. Case is an ASUS Hyperion GR701 and I added 3 140mm top fans for exhaust, Motherboard is ASUS Z790 Hero, Intel Core i7 13700k, Corsair Vengeance DDR5 64gb 5600 ram, PNY 4070 12gb ram, Coolermaster air ma620m CPU cooler, Corsair 1200 watt modular PSU, WD Black 1tb M2, WD Black M2 4tb, WD Black M2 4tb, LG 34 inch 165hz curved monitor, Roccat Vulcan gaming keyboard, HP external DVD writer, Logitech Trackball, Razor Tiamat 7.1 Surround Headset Ver.202. Logiteck 2.1 Speaker system that I already had and I am using a Logitech C922 Pro Webcam that I had. I'm running Windows 11 Profeshional. What are your opinions on my Build?
My personal experience, cable management was the worst part, especially trying not to mangle connectors like usb3 or 3pin argb
Cool video this is almost the same build I am doing so this was very helpful
This looks so amazing! 😍
My new computer came in a the same size white, Hyte case but I didn't know you could get that LCD panel on it. I like that feature.
That's Hyte70 Case with the LCD screen.
@unholydonuts Definitely, here in Australia they cost around $600AUD
i'm about to build my first pc too, the part that scares me the most is cable management, they're just so many cables it's hard to even remember all of their names 😨
Wow this is literally the exact same specs I was looking at using
I absolutely love the swimming fish on the front corner of case, i would buy it for that reason, i like that it also showed the bios But i Wouldn't be happy if it registered as an extra monitor as that causes issues getting UHD in streamers.
Make sure to ground yourself and discharge any static electricity before handling any component especially the CPU or Ram.
I just built my first pc all by myself and it was scary as hell! I went with the i7 14700k and the asus rtx 4090 with the dom plats ram as well, 48 gigs! Cost me a pretty penny. Went with the h9 flow case so i didnt have to install extra fans!
I will build my new pc soon!! The pc worth around €1,742.6811 or $1904
How did it go bro
@@oscard.1698 nice the pc is smooth like butter
Great video for the amateurs
Thanks 👍🏿
Awaiting for that hardware before I build
I like how these mobos you no longer have to screw in m.2 sticks.
i have the same ssd its the best on the market in my opinion
The first time I got a pc I bought a LGA1151 intel build. It took me months (nearly a year) to save my parts for it. Unfortunately it was when computer parts were stupid expensive. My fiancé and our four children are all getting huge chunks of money this year (approximately 500k plus royalties each) and she said that she wants to upgrade my set up. She got me to go on Newegg and pick out me and my son’s parts. I’m waiting on a huge upgrade now.
Her list for me with some help:
AMD Ryzen 9 7950X3D
ASUS ROG Crosshair X670E Hero
128GB Corsair vengeance DDR5 6400
ASUS ROG strix 4090 OC edition
ASUS ROG Hyperion GR701
ASUS ROG Thor 1200 platinum
Three 2TB SAMSUNG SSD 990 Pros
Man Wow!!! I had a decent hard time but how amazing it was to see it turn on! I Loved it at the end all the hard work payed off. Now I'll tell you before I turned it on the first time I had to shit twice!
i built my first pc watching your videos
I just built almost exactly the same pc. The only difference is that im waiting for the 4080 super in January, in the meantime im using my old 1080
That’s case was a generous donation
I’m loving that build
Long time Mac user and console gamer…switching to davinci resolve soon….this year might be the year to make the jump 🫡
Delicate and tedious I wouldn't say it's challenging though
I wish I could redo my current build. It's my 3rd build and I was expecting to breeze through it but it was the longest and most annoying build to do
This is my favorite case by far EXCEPT.....for the touch screen it comes with, throw it in the trash. I will definitely by the Y70 case when they offer it without the screen.
Damn that’s a lot of money for those specs. I’m planning to get more or less the same stuff but a 7800x3d or a 14700k instead for around 2100 pounds.
I would go with the 7800x3d and the 4080 super. I have the 7800x3d and its a great cpu, if the 4080 super is around £1000 it looks like a good deal. Ram prices are great at the moment but I would grab the m2 ssd as soon as possible as the prices look like they are going up this year.
Building 101, test main parts outside the case first.
You held his hand the whole time. Next time let a newbie figure it all out then help when needed.
Just watched a few of your videos and i see u are not afraid of latent ESD damage, but not why im posting, just wanna say it much easyer to put in the 8pin cpu cables and 24 pin before you mount motherboard in case and attach all cables to psu before mounting the psu. Just a suggestion, no ofense…
i think everyone should build thier own pc as itll help u understand the ins and outs more later down the line i built my own pc 2years ago and just upgraded it from a 1060rtx gpu and a 450w bronze psu to a 4060rtx gpu and a 750w gold psu and had a few compications with bois updating and thermal pasting (as wanted to repaste cpu after 2 years) as only did it once during 1st build but that 1st build helped me understand what to look out for and what to avoid i think if u buy a prebuild ull never understand how to troubleshoot it if something goes wrong (only if its ur first build if ur a veteran of pc's this wont apply im sure ur all geniuses with pc's)my new gpu fans dont run automaticlly (never had to deal with that till now) but as a 1st builder i learnt that for some gpu's the fans dont auto start and so whn i installed the 4060 i also installed msi afterburner for the fans and overclock i feel its just better like learning how to fix a bike urself rather thn paying for it to be fixed and always relying on that in the future lol gl guys
This rig looks amazing! One question about the Lian Li Infinity fans, do they sink up with with the Corsair AIO and iCUE? Great video guys!
Sadly not
You've got all Lian Li SL infinity fans. Why didn't he also go for 3 on the AIO ?
@17:36 good reason to use air cooling
I’m building my first pc tommorrow! I have all the parts except for my motherboard (bought wrong size) but I’m excited and (I bought a 4060ti I don’t give a fuck what you say it was like 350 and I’ll pay 30 bucks extra for the nvidia software

wouldve loved to see where all the wires connected to on the motherboard in the vid but besides that cool video
Wait for a month to get 4080 super for 10% boost in performance and better price: ❌
Buy a pc right away to regret: ✅
it was during black friday and the 4080 aero was on a sale so i'd say its worth
@@tempestpsyk I would say +10% performance and price at 1000 is pretty nice
@@LOLXD-sw4ed i didnt say it wasnt, ofc that is nice duh but a pretty gpu with a good deal bc of black friday is still worth it. if not for the deal, it isnt worth it.
@@tempestpsyk Even for the deal, the prices should drop dramatically. He could spend those ~89 dollars on something like ssd or light up a whole room with rgb
Your friend is the dead spit of another UA-camr named James Hargreaves. Great build video, Marcus and all the best for 2024.
that case is wicked, love it
There was a time when I was a curmudgeon and preferred heatsink-fans for cooling CPUs. Then CPUs got to be too much for the old HSF bit. While I don't like that AIOs don't last as long and are a bigger pain to install, I like that I can get less noise for the amount of cooling, plus there is less total weight on the motherboard.
